Today we lost a living legend: Tina Turner. I saw her in concert and Joe Cocker opened. It was truly the best concert I have ever been to. RIP Joe, Clarence and beautiful Tina!!

I was privileged to have attended joe cocker in brussels it was unforgettable. In 1972 I lived in Amsterdam very close to Brussels and other capitals. I had the opportunity to see Jimmy Hendrix in Paris and Led Zeppelin in Amsterdam...it was a unique musical time.
What a concert that must've been!!
Yeah!!! I saw Joe and Tina together! It was the best high energy show!!👍💕💪🙏
Thanks my dear friend 😮

😢
Oh yeah! 😎
no whiskey
Very very blues
He was amazing when he came to London Ontario in the mid nineties when he was fifty. I spent my grocery money on the ticket. 🥰
Times have always been tough, but for those that lived in the sixties and seventies, we were lucky beyond comprehension. Much love
INDEED WE WERE -- AND NOBODY COULD SING QUITE LIKE JOE
What a great song, what a great singer.
Rest in piece Joe. You are timeless.

Damn what's not to like here? Bassline, main riff, sax, percussion, the choir, Joe giving it soul to the max! Plus the realization that Woody Harrelson could easily play joe cocker in his biography. Everything about this song is killer!
And the girls, don't forget the girls 😁
I would be so offended by woody playing the great Joe cocker
I will love Joe Cocker forever. He's timeless.
Nice Comment Lee, how are you doing?
Sensacional
I feel the same way. What a talented man he was.
He was incredible
Man, this is the video I grew up on! Joe, your the only damn singer whose voice just got better and better as you aged! Gone but NEVER forgotten!!! I (we) will always love you!! You are sorely missed!!!!
Joe Cocker had a voice all his own & poured himself into every song !!! 🙏 🕊
I read somewhere that when Joe started singing as a kid it would so powerful it sounded like a hurricane coming through the room. Loved this man. No one could out perform him.
Lovely Comment Rose,How are you doing?
Just watch him singing at Woodstock

Легенда!!! Любимая песня моего мужа,который в мире ином,да и исполнитель покинул мир живых.Ниспошли Господь неземную радость и покой . Вечная память,Помню и постоянно слушаю много лет.
So many fantastic blue-eyed soul artists come out of the UK. Joe Cocker is at the top of my list.😊
Hi Teresa
Rest in peace, Joe you are the best. Your voice is so great as you got older it’s unbelievable rest in peace.❤
Joe is so underrated such an unique voice
Amen, Joe was totally underrated. He put his soul his music.!!
I can tell Arabella Thornton and Douglas Gay are younger! Joe was NEVER underrated!!! Joe career span OVER 50 years when he died! You wouldn't have a career THAT long if you were underrated.
@@Granny73 I can only think that those who think Joe was underrated didn't know him ! What about his versions of Leon Russell songs - Delta Lady for a start !
@@alisonmcnee557 The songs I most associate with Joe are Up Where We Belong and Unchain My Heart, I don't think I've heard his older material yet. When it comes to underrated singers/bands, Joe definitely isn't... I'd say Dr. Hook is more so (they were my mom's favorite band growing up, though almost nobody from younger generations know them).
Underrated?? Good Lord the man with the golden soul voice packed stadiums for decades. Got better as the years went by. He is a legend!.
I recently gave my oldest son all of my vinyl's. He asked me why I had two "Mad dog's and Englishman " album's. I told him I wore the first one out.
Rest In Peace Joe, there will never be another like you.!! Ever.!
Pure power in his vocals every time. The man could lay it down.
Not to mention. Clarence Clemons on sax. Can't beat that.
Just heard on the radio that he past away, aged 70.
A great voice has left us!
Rest in Peace big Joe, you will be missed!!!

Joe Cocker and his music never gets old!
не слушать ,не забыть ,невозможно
Ray Charles said Cocker had more soul than anyone he knew.
Your so rite-on. I remember in the '50's (older than dirt) when Ray came on my "portable" radio and sang "Drown in my own tears". Where's the talent today!!!???
+Deanna Kramer All the talent is kind of back underground like R&B, Blues and Rock and Roll was in the beginning. The crap on the radio today is all unimaginative, cold, computer generated junk.
Drown In My Own Tears was a favorite of mine. Back in the 60s and early 70s when I was playing and singing in a band, we did a slower arrangement of it, more bluesy, with horns. I was always surprised that Cocker never did a version of it.
+YerPope i think he did actually,and yes,it's good.
Deanna Kramer y’all check out Wilder Woods for some modern day talent. He’s the lead singer from NEEDTOBREATHE, and his voice is phenomenal. Such great diversity with his music too. He says that Joe Cocker is his favorite singer, so I started listening to some JC videos. 😉
And Robin Trower turned down best Blues guitarist
As always, I got ready for work. I turned on my phone, headphones and suddenly...... I hadn't seen the video, but until I watched it a few times, I stood and watched, listened! My heart sinks, what a pity I recognized him so late! He's my favorite singer.

You are the best singer i have ever heard. Your best friends stole from you. And now they will be there for you again... sadly they left you. But the best fans wont leave you and will always have a place in theire hearts! We will never forget you and the music you made. You will stay in my heart!

im sixty and I act just like I did when I fell in love with that voice when I was 12 yrs old ill see you soon joe, just look for joey
ok boomer
Looking soon myself. Good shit. Sorry if I offended you by swearing.
Joe played a bit of harmonica and piano, but as far as I know, he was never recognised as a musician, yet he made it to the top in the music business. There's a lesson there somewhere. He found a niche as singer in a genre that suited him and with his own voice. He had help, particularly in the early days, with Chris Stainton but he made it. Like Eric Burden, Ozzie and others, he made it as himself. Whether in music or anything else, find your voice and let it go. Who knows where you might finish up.
Heart felt music. They way it use to be. Real and deep

Ray Charles summed Joe up in a nut shell he really was the heart of rock and soul. Unchain my heart is just pure gold. He sings it with so much passion like all his songs. So sad he’s no longer with us because I know he’d still be making us rock listen to his beautiful voice every day!. He’s my pick me up ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

I'm a Joe Cocker fan. I became a bigger fan after I heard his version of this Ray Charles song Unchain My Heart. His voice had so much raw power which was already evident at Woodstock when he had performed the Beatles classic A little help from my friends. His version of this Ray Charles song though ( Unchain My Heart ) made made me a much bigger fan of his. Saddly Joe Cocker has left us too soon. He's moved on but he's not at all forgotten. R. I. P. Joe Cocker. You're loved and your legacy lives on. Thank you for the great music. You had fire and soul in that great voice. R.I.P. Joe Cocker.

hello maria how are you doing i hope you are doing good
In the times of 1990's , in which I was a Highschooler,it was one of my best songs, the others were ''I'm an Englishman in New York, etc.''
I've seen many concerts over the past 40+ years and his was the best. Saw him twice and he was the opener both times. One time we left shortly after the main act started because we were there for Joe.
Ray Charles sang the original.but THIS IS THE GREATEST VERSION !!!!!!!!! Clarence Clemons on the sax.....R.I.P. Clarence. One of the Immortals.
