It's quite easy to imagine Tony Bastable presenting this.
Mk2 still holds its own today, cheap to own and repair, comfy on long trips, a great little car,it’s a set of wheels that gets the job done
3:10 “it’s quality you can really feel” shot of misaligned rubbing strips 🤥
And the exciting prospect of a seized bonnet lock. That's guaranteed
Plenty focus cars still going strong. To me, that's a sign they are made to last
got a 10 plate titanium facelift one, 2.0 duratec 108,000 miles and still going strong
Forgot to mention the leaky boot options😅
I can't access the power outlet on this thing 😅
Those alloy wheels corrode the minute it leaves the showroom.
So does the rest of it
That bonnet badge lock has to be one of the stupidest ideas ever thought up
It’s a shame that we didn’t get the MK2 Focus here in the US…
I swear the badges on these were made with painted cling film…
Even today Ford rust and rot like no other brand I know of. Shame, I have had penty of fast fords from the 80's and enjoyed them but they all needed a lot of bodywork.
Very poor quality cars, right the way through. I don’t know how they’re still in business with the eco boom engine
These were not fitted with Ecoboost engines. Have you actually owned one of these MK2 long term?
@@sammytheseal2307 that’s why I said “still in business” ie, the current cars. And yes I’ve been a car trader since 1998. So iv driven one or two, 👍
Disagree, my 2010 fiesta is still going strong at 90,000 miles nothing feels worn out
Clearly know nothing about cars - Had one for 18 years now and on 171k miles!!
This brick was a huge let down in terms of styling, quality and dynamics in comparison to the mk1 in my opinion...
💯 agreed... it was boring to drive unlike the original
