Lipstick looks amazing on you. I need it. I agree with you on the customer service, they should’ve absolutely replied to you, no excuse wether it’s a big/small/new/old company. For the liquid shadow, I would prefer something less pigmented so you have the chance to build it up, since it dries down quick, you really have to work fast to blend it out to make it lighter. Very pigmented is not always best.

As for the pigment, if you dab a small amount onto a small dense brush, you can actually spread the product and wear a more “diffused” look. I’ve had many subbies and followers reach out telling me about their bad experiences, so there’s clearly a pattern here. It’s completely unacceptable for a brand, let alone one that’s new and trying to make an impression! They should take a leaf out of Lisa Eldridge’s book, and how her team handle everything. Sadly, it normally starts at the head and filters down, so if Violette doesn’t care about customer service, no one else will. When I worked in the beauty industry, customer service was everything to me, and my team knew it and were trained on it. Sorry to hear about your experience, if needs be, contact them on IG and comment on a recent post if they fail to contact you back etc. Public responses normally are more likely to get a response. I’m glad I found your video! I’ve been considering getting Petal Bouche because the tone of red looks incredible in the pictures I’ve seen online. But to be honest I am DIE HARD Lisa Eldridge fan and I only wear her lipsticks. I’ve seen you review Lisa’s Velvets before. As you’ve tried both I’d love to ask how u think Petal Bouche compares to Velvet Ribbon (or maybe even Velvet Jazz?) I think Lisa’s lipsticks are the best in the market but if this shade is different enough or generally worth it I will consider breaking my rule of only purchasing LE lipsticks, just this one time 😉♥️🌹 I’d love to hear your thoughts! Hi Dani, thanks so much for your comment! I’m also a die hard Lisa Eldridge fan so we share that similarity! 😉 Good question! I don’t have the Velvet Jazz but from swatches I’ve seen, the Petal Bouche is much closer to Velvet Jazz than Velvet Ribbon for sure, as it’s a deeper red. The PB being a liquid lipstick is not as creamy as the LE lipstick, but I think it does last slightly longer. The PB is a really beautiful, unique red, and I personally love the colour, but the biggest letdown for the brand is their poor customer service. Violette and her team could learn a thing or four, about customer service from LE. If you get what you’re supposed to get, in the condition it’s supposed to be in, all will be great but if not and you encounter any issues, Violette FR’s team will either not respond at all, respond very delayed, or even be rude judging by what a LOT of people of told me. They still haven’t gotten back to my original email asking where my product is, but thank God I got it in the end! I hope that answers your question somehow 😅 Thanks so much Dani ♥️♥️♥️

Which is disappointing cause the products are so good but the experience gets kinda tarnished when you don’t get treated well. Which is never the case with Lisa’s team, they’re the best I’ve ever encountered. Anyway I will still consider giving Petal Bouche a try because I’m a sucker for red lippies. It does look darker than Velvet Ribbon indeed but I guess it leans cooler than Jazz, because Jazz is bricky and earthy. Have a nice weekend! 🌼

I think it’s a nice product but there are better face mists on the market and ones that are more specifically suited for individual skin types. I hope that (kind of) answers your question! 😅♥️♥️♥️
It depends what you want it for? I have the opposite skin type as my skin is dry. I would recommend face mists for those with dry skin, rather than oily. I personally don’t think it’s needed for your skin type, unless you want it for setting your makeup for example. Xx
I think the reason the shipping was so expensive (and possibly why it took so long) is because the order included the perfume. I assume this is to do with international shipping restrictions for perfume, because it is considered a dangerous item. Delivery for the items without the perfume is around £12. With the perfume it jumps up to £79. Just FYI in case anyone else who is UK-based is considering buying the make up items and might be scared off by the cost you mentioned. I love the look, by the way, and thanks for the review. I've heard the Boum Boum spray described as "aggressive" but I like your description too 😄

Ps. I don’t think the perfume is the reason why the order was delayed, because thinking about it, I have friends who ordered without the perfume and it still took a while to arrive. But I definitely think you’re right about the shipping/ taxes xx
I think that's right! Also it says that orders £135 and under are handled by Passport Shipping which I think keeps those costs down A LOT (e.g. if I put a moisturiser, lip and eye product in my cart I only get charged £11 shipping on top of that and taxes are already included). So if you go over that, it must hit all kinds of tax/shipping threshholds.
The liquid lipstick colour reminds me of Estée Lauder’s double wear liquid lipstick in Quiet Riot. I remember Violette using that shade in one of her videos when she was still working for EL. Shame her brand’s customer service is a let down.

Hi guys! Update: 1st May I’ve had several subbies and people reach out telling me about their negative customer service experience. I myself still haven’t had a response to my email, and it’s been well over 2 weeks. I doubt I will now. I’m enjoying the products I got, but like I said in the video, customer service is so important and is part of the whole brand experience. This is something the brand needs to take into consideration and improve on ASAP. Previous update: All is still well in the land of the Boum Boum! The only thing I have to feed back on is the liquid eyeshadow Yeux Paint. With and without primer, the liner transferred onto my upper lid area after wearing it for a while. This transference happened even though I had primer on, waterproof mascara and liner. I would be interested to see how it performs as an overall eyeshadow, but I’ll probably have a play around on IGTV at some point. So if you’re interested, please check in there at some point for updates 👀! The red lip dried down well (not as drying as the Nars PMLP) and lasted pretty well even when I ate and drank. I think as long as you’re not eating anything super messy, you’ll be absolutely fine with the red lipoid! A very lovely and helpful subbie @chlomo mentioned the following about shipping: "Delivery for the items without the perfume is around £12. With the perfume it jumps up to £79. Was looking for a Violette_FR review and what you said & reading the comments about customer service I've deleted my cart. That's awful, it's such a priority. I will spend more in a place if I get good customer service so that's a disappointment for a new brand in a competitive market. Can you recommend an alternative for the lipstick, I loved the colour on you. Something with the same colour and staying power?

I have to say, it’s a shame as I absolutely love Petal Bouche and think it’s such a unique colour. I otherwise love Pat McGrath liquid lipsticks Liquilust, as it’s such a beautiful formula and not too drying. Nars Powermatte lip pigment has fantastic staying power and some beautiful shades, but it can also be drying and can slightly bleed into fines lines. Thanks so much for watching xxx

I appreciate that you review the brand , according how it was created. Its so laughable than influencer review the brand, doing makeup American way and complaining all the way that it doesnt work😳 i love Violette and i did ordered her products. I ordered shimmery shadows, i think i need those matte ones. I would like that boom boom milk would have finer spray. Its way too strong, especially if you want to set makeup. Also its not enough for my dry skin, its only right after beach, if i want to put some makeup and go for dinner Wow taxes and shipping in US , i didnt have to pay nor taxes nor shipping, so its quite reasonable. Love petal bouche, thats the first lipstick with blue undertone , that i could wear. Now i think you little bit unfair to the new brand. She probably dont have too many ppl to begin, plus you know how is these days with shipping, i can tell you that i wait longer from established brands like Tom Ford , Nars, Marc Jacobs, so you should understand they just released the products, they are overwhelmed , as Violette mention on her ig and videos, that she didnt expect so many orders .

I have dry skin and have found the spray to be good, but I wouldn’t necessarily substitute it for my normal skincare routine. It’s good if you want something on the go and to keep in your handbag. As for the wait time, I wasn’t as bothered, it was just the fact that they didn’t get back to me and still haven’t. I have shopped with both big and small companies, new and old, and this is my only experience of a company not replying back to me. I can still appreciate her as a brand and collection, but it’s primarily the taxes and shipping that puts me off. Maybe if this improves, I can add to my collection. Thanks for watching xxx

Hi Gillian! I can’t remember what I said exactly either 😅 but I think I mentioned it was a milky formula with a glowy finish. Tbh there’s not much more to report, other than that it doesn’t have a sticky residue. My skin didn’t feel super hydrated but hydrated enough, and like I said in the video, it wouldn’t be a substitute for your regular skincare routine. It’s good if you just want a quick spray and spritz on your journeys. The spray itself is stronger and slightly more “aggressive” than other facial sprays/ mists. Hi Dani, thanks so much for your comment! I’m also a die hard Lisa Eldridge fan so we share that similarity! 😉 Good question! I don’t have the Velvet Jazz but from swatches I’ve seen, the Petal Bouche is much closer to Velvet Jazz than Velvet Ribbon for sure, as it’s a deeper red. The PB being a liquid lipstick is not as creamy as the LE lipstick, but I think it does last slightly longer. The PB is a really beautiful, unique red, and I personally love the colour, but the biggest letdown for the brand is their poor customer service. Violette and her team could learn a thing or four, about customer service from LE. If you get what you’re supposed to get, in the condition it’s supposed to be in, all will be great but if not and you encounter any issues, Violette FR’s team will either not respond at all, respond very delayed, or even be rude judging by what a LOT of people of told me. They still haven’t gotten back to my original email asking where my product is, but thank God I got it in the end! I hope that answers your question somehow 😅 Thanks so much Dani ♥️♥️♥️

Which is disappointing cause the products are so good but the experience gets kinda tarnished when you don’t get treated well. Which is never the case with Lisa’s team, they’re the best I’ve ever encountered. Anyway I will still consider giving Petal Bouche a try because I’m a sucker for red lippies. It does look darker than Velvet Ribbon indeed but I guess it leans cooler than Jazz, because Jazz is bricky and earthy. Have a nice weekend! 🌼

Hi Debbie, sorry about the slow response! Tbh I haven’t used it since the initial time I bought and reviewed it. I think it’s a nice product but there are better face mists on the market and ones that are more specifically suited for individual skin types. I hope that (kind of) answers your question! 😅♥️♥️♥️

It depends what you want it for? I have the opposite skin type as my skin is dry. I would recommend face mists for those with dry skin, rather than oily. I personally don’t think it’s needed for your skin type, unless you want it for setting your makeup for example. Xx

I assume this is to do with international shipping restrictions for perfume, because it is considered a dangerous item. Delivery for the items without the perfume is around £12. With the perfume it jumps up to £79. Just FYI in case anyone else who is UK-based is considering buying the make up items and might be scared off by the cost you mentioned.

Ps. I don’t think the perfume is the reason why the order was delayed, because thinking about it, I have friends who ordered without the perfume and it still took a while to arrive. But I definitely think you’re right about the shipping/ taxes xx
I think that's right! Also it says that orders £135 and under are handled by Passport Shipping which I think keeps those costs down A LOT (e.g. if I put a moisturiser, lip and eye product in my cart I only get charged £11 shipping on top of that and taxes are already included). So if you go over that, it must hit all kinds of tax/shipping threshholds.

The liquid lipstick colour reminds me of Estée Lauder’s double wear liquid lipstick in Quiet Riot. I remember Violette using that shade in one of her videos when she was still working for EL. Shame her brand’s customer service is a let down.

I’ve had several subbies and people reach out telling me about their negative customer service experience. I myself still haven’t had a response to my email, and it’s been well over 2 weeks. I doubt I will now. I’m enjoying the products I got, but like I said in the video, customer service is so important and is part of the whole brand experience. This is something the brand needs to take into consideration and improve on ASAP.
Previous update: All is still well in the land of the Boum Boum! The only thing I have to feed back on is the liquid eyeshadow Yeux Paint. With and without primer, the liner transferred onto my upper lid area after wearing it for a while. This transference happened even though I had primer on, waterproof mascara and liner. I would be interested to see how it performs as an overall eyeshadow, but I’ll probably have a play around on IGTV at some point. So if you’re interested, please check in there at some point for updates 👀!
The red lip dried down well (not as drying as the Nars PMLP) and lasted pretty well even when I ate and drank. I think as long as you’re not eating anything super messy, you’ll be absolutely fine with the red lipoid!

Was looking for a Violette_FR review and what you said & reading the comments about customer service I've deleted my cart. That's awful, it's such a priority. I will spend more in a place if I get good customer service so that's a disappointment for a new brand in a competitive market. Can you recommend an alternative for the lipstick, I loved the colour on you. Something with the same colour and staying power?

I have to say, it’s a shame as I absolutely love Petal Bouche and think it’s such a unique colour. I otherwise love Pat McGrath liquid lipsticks Liquilust, as it’s such a beautiful formula and not too drying. Nars Powermatte lip pigment has fantastic staying power and some beautiful shades, but it can also be drying and can slightly bleed into fines lines. Thanks so much for watching xxx

I appreciate that you review the brand , according how it was created. Its so laughable than influencer review the brand, doing makeup American way and complaining all the way that it doesnt work😳 i love Violette and i did ordered her products. I ordered shimmery shadows, i think i need those matte ones. I would like that boom boom milk would have finer spray. Its way too strong, especially if you want to set makeup. Also its not enough for my dry skin, its only right after beach, if i want to put some makeup and go for dinner Wow taxes and shipping in US , i didnt have to pay nor taxes nor shipping, so its quite reasonable. Love petal bouche, thats the first lipstick with blue undertone , that i could wear. Now i think you little bit unfair to the new brand. She probably dont have too many ppl to begin, plus you know how is these days with shipping, i can tell you that i wait longer from established brands like Tom Ford , Nars, Marc Jacobs, so you should understand they just released the products, they are overwhelmed , as Violette mention on her ig and videos, that she didnt expect so many orders .
Hi Giedre! Thanks so much for your comment, I appreciate it has received mixed reviews but I love the collection. I have dry skin and have found the spray to be good, but I wouldn’t necessarily substitute it for my normal skincare routine. It’s good if you want something on the go and to keep in your handbag. As for the wait time, I wasn’t as bothered, it was just the fact that they didn’t get back to me and still haven’t. I have shopped with both big and small companies, new and old, and this is my only experience of a company not replying back to me. I can still appreciate her as a brand and collection, but it’s primarily the taxes and shipping that puts me off. Maybe if this improves, I can add to my collection. Thanks for watching xxx

Hi Gillian! I can’t remember what I said exactly either 😅 but I think I mentioned it was a milky formula with a glowy finish. Tbh there’s not much more to report, other than that it doesn’t have a sticky residue. My skin didn’t feel super hydrated but hydrated enough, and like I said in the video, it wouldn’t be a substitute for your regular skincare routine. It’s good if you just want a quick spray and spritz on your journeys. The spray itself is stronger and slightly more “aggressive” than other facial sprays/ mists. For one subbie, I advised them to contact the company through their Instagram page, and if all else fails, write a comment on their latest post so it’s public, that way they’re more likely to respond!
