It’s extra fun to watch a vlog on a place I just recently visited but seeing a whole other perspective on it! I love that you included shots of your lighthouse experience because I didn’t get to visit that part of the park. As always with your work - it felt like I was right there with you. The sounds of the park were scattered throughout and I think that’s one of the best parts of the experience there. So crazy that the lighthouse never actually worked…you’d think someone would say something while constructing it. People are funny…. Anyways, I came ill-prepared for Biscayne too and ended up forking out more money than I wanted to take a boat out and snorkle throughout the mangroves. (I actually wanted to snorkle the reef…but sadly wind conditions made that not possible) So much of what is visible on land there is a little underwhelming, and I knew I may never get the chance to see it again, so I closed my eyes while I paid. I’m lucky I had a little extra to do that, and I do feel sad that needing a boat or money to get a boat heavily restricts who gets to see it. BUT what I admire so much about you is that you made the absolute most of the 5 percent of the park you had access to on land and soaked in your moment anyways. On the other hand - how dare you leave us with such a cliffhanger for the Everglades!? I can’t wait to see that honest vlog capturing the shit show that improv vanlife can be.
Ugh so jealous that you snorkeled!! that was like…the one activity I really wanted to do. All the spots were booked, but it was totally my fault for not looking earlier 🤦♀️
