If Sean Astin said that about Stuart, there might be some truth to it. Otherwise, why would he write it in his book. But Viggo is also right, the actor was too young to play Aragorn.
Apparently Stuart may not have been a team player for Peter and the movies. Didn't want to practice his sword fights and the elvish language, he just wanted to wing it, which was not the best mind set to have for a movie like that
