That's absolutely amazing how they put these cars together, considering all the thousands of components that go into them. My hat goes off to the people who do this detailed work so we can drive these beautiful machines.
Jean-Paul Sartre I went in a fei,d trip here and it's so cool most is done by robots painting cutting forming metal only human part is testing and making sure the cars are right robots even weld things
Fashion Ngulube I'm going to wait a year or so and see what kind of problems they have and for good incentives to buy. Free maintenance is not good enough for me.
donfritz0 LOL....not in Japanese companies like this. I once took a school trip to the GM plant on Oshawa..I was shocked at how lazy these people were. I saw some shoving beer cans into a car door...no joke.
smasila This plant is in Tennessee. Run by Americans. Ultimately, Nissan isn't even owned by the Japanese anymore; the French do. Renault is their parent company.
donfritz0 For real though, a small minority of jobs there allow for people to pretend to work, but most of the work (especially line work) you HAVE to maintain the same pace all night or you're going to get canned.
+MrSpartan117fan My 2013 Juke was built in Japan and my 2015 Rogue was built in Tennessee. No difference in build quality that I can see. It's the Japanese production style that makes the cars great, not where it is screwed together
give it a few years and you'll tell the difference my mother had a 96 maxima the thing was a tank no squeeks or rattles and we had it form new till 2008 then we got a 2005 maxima nowhere near as solid .. I have an 1987 Nissan 300zx with 110 000miles its made of granite ,my dad has a 2002 sentra ser spec v that was made in mexico same mileage as my car.. big difference sqeaks and rattles like crazy , i have taken both cars apart you cannot compare the build quality , cant even compare my mothers maxima that was made in the us
+MrSpartan117fan Nissan had to shutdown US assembly on the Nissan Quest and Infiniti QX56 (after 2010 MY) and pay more for Japanese manufacturing because of excessive quality issues. It's like two completely different automakers when you compare the Canton, Mississippi factory and Nissans Japanese factories. Smyrna, Tennessee seems to be doing just fine though. The Nissan Altima, Maxima and other vehicles made here in Tennessee have good build quality.
My hats off to those who can stomach being there. I worked there for about 5 months and it was one of the worst jobs I've ever had. I'd kill myself if I had to work there for the rest of my life. Just utterly depressing. Mad respect for the men and women who do go in there and do this work for years on end. They deserve a great wage and retirement for what they do.
Nissan owners get stuck with those dreadful CVTs. Infiniti owners get regular automatic transmissions. Money doesn't buy you happiness? I bet to differ;)
In the video, they seem to be very good at assembling, but in reality, Americans are not very good at assembling. I am riding a U.S.-made Maxima in Korea and there is quite a bit of indoor noise
fading_starz negative. 95% of the time the vehicle is on a ‘moving sidewalk’ as you will. It leaves the factory with roughly 5-10 miles on it. That includes testing, loading, etc. Your vehicle was test drove by a few beforehand.
Bri Beltran all depends on the automaker. Most if not all nissans produced at that company above typically have under 10 miles on them. Purchased a new ram 1500 in 2017 and it only had 7 miles on the odometer.
Shi-Derrius Melvin those were awful. the last good year was 03 and the 04 I35. 04-08 is generally regarded as the worst Maximas and the generation where they lost their identity. Those are commonly mistaken for their Altima counterparts.
Mechanically they were recognized as being aweful. I had a 2005 Maxima and the transmission went out. I currently have a 2001 Infiniti I30 and love it. I could be wrong but just the rear end of the 07-08 appeals me personally. I agree with you as the best last gen 4DSC has to be the 2002-2003 models especially the 20th anniversary edition
Derrius Melvin I prefer the 00-03 with the VQ30 and VQ35. Nice interior, reliable and beautiful and of course, made in Japan with an optional 6 speed manual.
I have a 2013 and it looks better then this on. I think they where trying to mix a Altama and the last body style together. They took out the dash with the large consold and put in a altama dash that sucks bad
Carlos Waldo your 2013 is built like a turtle 🐢 inside and out this model destroys the 2013 this comment seems like you were trying to convince your pockets that they were straight
And from the back it does look like a cheap ass Hyundai. Previous generation was sportier and sexier all around. Especially the SV models with the optional 19in wheels. This will never touch those
That's absolutely amazing how they put these cars together, considering all the thousands of components that go into them. My hat goes off to the people who do this detailed work so we can drive these beautiful machines.
For real
YUP! and i hope these guys are union too! lol
They are not union and have voted twice not to be.
Jean-Paul Sartre I went in a fei,d trip here and it's so cool most is done by robots painting cutting forming metal only human part is testing and making sure the cars are right robots even weld things
Preds35 PlaysMC actually many of the small components are assembled by hand. Alot more work than you think.
This is where my 2017 nissan maxima that i proudly call maxine was born. Im so proud of her!
its my dream car! i will have a 2nd hand one (2016 or 17) by next year.. i dont mind about colors, all them r beautiful :)
Love the new maxima guys,Nissan is keeping it fresh and mean.
Beautiful and sharp looking.
Good review & great Nissan.

the silver looks nice
COOL, would love to have a job here....
My son-in-law works here & makes very good money he said he loves his job.

Nice car, ready to get one.
When are they coming out
They come out in June.
Fashion Ngulube I'm going to wait a year or so and see what kind of problems they have and for good incentives to buy. Free maintenance is not good enough for me.
On my 2nd maxima 2009 Sv premium now I have a 2017 sr midnight edition white 👍🏾🔥
@4:56 there is an elephant wearing gray pants & runners testing the strength of the body she'll!
The sheet of paper that hang from the hood towards the beginning of the video, are they build sheets?
Pretty much . They tell what certain parts need to go with car . It depends on the model , trim , and what color the car is
Racerwon 2 true
Why was there a 2015 or 13/14 Altima on the line up?? Weird.. Maxima came out on 2016... but is next to a 2015 lol
I'm gonna keep my 2014 maxima . I thought about traded in but no I'm keeping mine.

They make it look so easy, building a car in less than 22 minutes.
Everyone is pretending to work when the camera is on but soon the camera goes off they start fucking around
donfritz0 Actually that place is a meat grinder. They make you work or you get fired.

9:25 is the moment a Nissan Maxima is born: the Very First Start.
the maxima logo reminds me of the 1984 model.
내차도 저분들이 만들었구나
too bad wish all nissans were still built in japan ,,, nothing beats japanese precision

+MrSpartan117fan In japan, they use robots mostly, thats where their precision comes from. People are people, same shit everywhere.
4:53 Nissan hiring an elephant ????~~~~!!!!!
Nissan testing if an elephant have the ideal space in the Nissan Maxima.
They got it
I need a platinum in right hand drive.

tenacious645 what was so bad about it
I have silver 💖
من هو المقرود اللي بيخليها و يشتري أكورد الصينية!
Nissan owners get stuck with those dreadful CVTs. Infiniti owners get regular automatic transmissions. Money doesn't buy you happiness? I bet to differ;)
yeah okay bullshit nissan reliably is so much better then shit ass infiniti
Infiniti is a division of Nissan.
Y is the rear so huge..and y did they have to make the rear look like the altima..bad move .does not look like a sports car at all
In the video, they seem to be very good at assembling, but in reality, Americans are not very good at assembling.

It’s Japanese designed & American produced. Can’t really blame the Americans on that one.
I EXPECTED TO SEE JAPANESE WORKERS
ALL THAT DRIVING NO WONDER MY CAR CAME WITH 50 MILES ALREADY... SO BASICALLY YOUR NEW CAR IS USED
fading_starz negative. 95% of the time the vehicle is on a ‘moving sidewalk’ as you will. It leaves the factory with roughly 5-10 miles on it. That includes testing, loading, etc. Your vehicle was test drove by a few beforehand.
New enough got mine w 20 miles I believe

When I bought my 2022 Nissan Maxima SV last year in July. The car had 4 miles on it.
@@1989pulsar 4 miles is a lot for a car that has not been sold yet
I can't believe they use shitty Uryu tools to build that car. poor nissan.
The last good production model year of the Maxima was 2007 and 2008.
Shi-Derrius Melvin those were awful. the last good year was 03 and the 04 I35. 04-08 is generally regarded as the worst Maximas and the generation where they lost their identity. Those are commonly mistaken for their Altima counterparts.

The build quality was horrible from 2004-2008. It got much better in 2009.
I'm sorry but the 2009-2014 Maxima was one of the best in production an I know because I've owned two... a 2012 an 2014
Derrius Melvin I prefer the 00-03 with the VQ30 and VQ35.

@@RonCp3 2013 maxima looks way better than the model in the video...
They really killed the styling of this car. Previous generation was way easier on the eyes. This thing looks like a Hyundai now
Mack Ryan Are you blind or just stupid? It looks nothing like a Hyundai..
Now why do you have to go and talk like an ass hole? It's my opinion. I'm not dumb or blind. Keep it moving. Comment somewhere else
And from the back it does look like a cheap ass Hyundai. Previous generation was sportier and sexier all around. Especially the SV models with the optional 19in wheels. This will never touch those
Mack Ryan
Yeap, it seems a good car but the killed the spirit of the old maxima
Sure did.. And it looks to be sitting up really high off the ground.. I really hate this.. Used to love max's
Good work
