I'm Anne of All Trades. In NASHVILLE, I have a woodworking, blacksmithing and fabrication shop, a selection of furry friends, and an organic farm. Whether you've got the knowledge, tools, time or space to do the things you've always wanted to do, everything is "figureoutable." I became "Anne of All Trades" out of necessity. With no background in farming or making things, I wanted to learn to raise my own food, fix things when they break, and build the things I need. 8 years ago I got my first pet, planted my first seed and picked up my first tool. The timing on this is so cool. Today is my 10 year wedding anniversary and you guys upload this couple video.
For us, I'm the woodworker and outdoor guy and she could care less.
I'm the cautious overthinking one and she is spontaneous.
I'm six years older then her.

My wife is Chinese from Oahu, I'm in tech, learning how to play guitar and my skin doesn't like sun without anything less than 70 SPF :) I am the DIY and spontaneous one while she is so much more organized (an OCD level)! :) It was such a pleasure to see you both! Cheers!

Sad I missed this livestream. My wife and I live just north of you, over the KY line, and would love to attend a meetup one day when all this 2020 junk is over. We just got our first livestock guardian dog and are soon to get chickens and goats. I'm a former program manager, now continuous improvement engineer, and my wife professionally trains dogs and went to school for Agriculture so she does some hobby farming now that we have our own place. Love hearing more of your story and would enjoy more of these in the future.

Women in general get very short shrift when it comes to either being well represented or noticed. Anne, and April, and Laura, and Ashley, and more than a few others, are absolute trail blazers and I hope for 2 things in the future
1- Introducing more Women makers to the audience
2- Introducing more Black women makers to the audience

We used to couldn’t get Coors east of Monteagle mountain until the early 80s. We had to come over the mountain from Chattanooga to get it.

I am a cross between you two IT Tech and Mike of all trades. When you get much older you will thank yourself for all that sunscreen and staying out of the sun. I on the other hand can't stay out of it any time I physically can. Anne you are adorable.
110 degrees today in Medford Oregon. The first time I saw Anne of all trades was with 3D Printing Nerd, so cute with the donkey in the kitchen. I'm still trying to make cookie cutters, Have been making night lights mostly

Aloha from Hawaii (howzit, Adam!) . Hot & sunny here, taking an iced tea break. Harvested jackfruits, swept leaves off the garage roof and cleaned the gutters, then will pick up the chainsaw when it gets a bit cooler this afternoon to eradicate some invasive species (haole koa trees) 😊

Anne of All Trades Aloha, Anne, indeed Native Hawaiian Koa is a gorgeous and rare wood. Have you ever worked with it?
Unfortunately, “Haole Koa” (Leucaena leucocephala) is an invasive species found everywhere in the islands. The wood is useless and smelly, the seedpods numerous, and even animals can’t eat the leaves (causes hair loss to cows, goats and horses).

Thanks so much for tuning in! We are currently trying to figure out some vlog style videos because as fun as these other videos are to make, they don’t really accurately share what daily life is like here on the farm or in the workshop so we’d like to find a better way, it’s just tough because there aren’t any great examples of channels we’ve found doing such a big variety of stuff, so it’s hard to know how to go about it. If you have any channels you like that you recommend we study I’d be all ears!

I’m not sure what direction that will take my channel, but one big project long term is I’d like to build a living history museum of sorts to showcase both on the channel and to visitors what life was like for a settler in the 1800’s.

I had to pause at the mention of the 4 Runner. On that alone, I'm such a jealous woman. Mine bought a used one, shifty car lot. On financing and it ran precisely 33 days. A year battling the finance company's ins coverage and the company itself, I had to take over from my oh so wise hubby to get down and nasty with these creeps (deflected aggression regarding the purchaser himself, lol). Long story short, paid a year for a vehicle that never got fixed well enough to drive. Think the missing wise man of Bethlehem sold it for junk. I would have loved to drive it more. Great ride, weak transmission issues for that year... So the car lot told me, phhhh

He’s the best friend I’ve ever had! He’s funny, handsome, he works hard, he’s so talented... so much!
The best flyswatter is a lightweight propane torch with those 4 dollars foot long propane cylinders. Some people might think it's cruel but bugs can be cruel and I'm bigger. For me, it's fun chasing the bugs with it and watching them ignite in flight. If you are careful, you can even get them on a wall or curtain without damage to the surface. Last week, my shop became infested with mosquitoes and. My bug zapper just was not fast enough. So I experimentally pulled out the torch and had an epifany. You just need to get close and you win. For those that think it's sick, I'm fine with that. Don't do it. I do it and, LOL, it's fun as shit! Hahaha! Just my 2 cents on bug extraction.
