And for their crimes against children as the children suffer more when the dads are gone. Society as a whole is now worse off as fatherless kids are significantly more likely to be anti-social, substance abusing, criminals plus they are five times more likely to die by suicide themselves.

I gave 10500 pounds child maintenance in advance to my ex wife .
She obviously agreed to this and sighed an agreement with my solicitor.
Then she went an applied for child maintenance.
So they enforced it on me
I disagreed so they applied financial punishment of up to 31 percent of my wages before tax
Then we went to an independent tribunal
Obviously she won because the laws are totally against men
    So I gave up work
I live at my parents and make 10 grand a year working part time doing barely anything
But I get to see my kids all the time and enjoy my life with them
I don't need money so screw the government and will make sure I bleed the government out of as much money as I can in my lifetime
When I went in the job centred I now understand why so many middle age men don't work and just get benefits
    Off

Sorry to hear this my friend, its legalised extortion. The courts cms, solicitors all are in on it. Alienate man from his children, so the ex can spite you, weaponise the kids and then take your money. If you wanna see them you have to pay c100, solicitor fees, it's a big con. Many men are killing themselves. Don't let your ex win. I am in a similar fight

I was hounded by CSA and they robbed me of thousands of pounds, I couldn't buy decent food or have any holidays, back then there was talk of blocking your passport and driving licence for not paying, but that's a dumb idea, if you needed your car to commute how are you going to earn any money? I think the Civil Liberties Group stopped the passport blocking, as it's the same as taking your passport off you, and nobody is allowed to keep that, it's yours only.

This is a really interesting research. My view is that the CMS operate outside of the Equality Act. They have service standards or different processes. Around 90% of paying parents are male, where as 90% receiving are female. Yet the CMS have to get a case opened in days, yet, when the case is swopped, and the primary carer changes they have 14 weeks as a service standard. Why is that? Ignoring the Equality act.

A well investigated and thought through report Brian. Well done.
I’m also one of the many loving fathers who are essentially in a financial prison.
My Ex partner went through child maintenance to punish me as she didn’t get what she wanted, I have paid for years prior to child maintenance coming into the picture.
When she put the application in she lied and stated I never look after them, completely false as I look after them all the time, only to get the highest paying bracket from me.
I am happily settled in a new relationship and have a step daughter, my maintenance is £500 a month, I’m paying a mortgage off and left with next to nothing. While my ex partner who gets benefits/council house/legal aid and food vouchers to help also works cash in hand making thousands. Can child maintenance identify this isn’t about supporting children, it is a tool to punish loving paying parents who cannot have the life they want with there children due to Child maintenance. It is the biggest government authorised scam, all it is doing is punishing loving parents who cannot live a good quality of life with there children.
Again this will fall on death ears, hence why the only escape is suicide, something needs to change.

It was early 1990's I'd just applied to divorce my wife, but my female Solicitor, said, you're not going to like this, a new maintenance operation is arriving called The Child Support Agency, taking away powers of Judges to set maintenance, we're all against this new proposal, so then the nightmare began, I was handed an attachment of earnings by my employers HR lady, she even appeared to look down on me and kind of enjoyed it. Looks like it hasn't changed much at all over the years.

Thank you for this. The CMS think that they are above the law. They just applied a DEO on my wages, which is £1500- after tax & N.I has been taken off.
The CMS are taking £400 per month before I have paid tax & N.I- because they said that I am in “arrears” when I am not. They also did this without notifying me about it.
I called my employer’s payroll department, & was told that “there is nothing we can do, we need to comply with what the CMS tell us”
It’s genuinely putting me into financial hardship, as I have my regular bills etc to pay & I have another child that I support with my current partner (I have been with her since 2015) my other child is also disabled.
I told the CMS this when I called about the DEO being applied without any notice, but they don’t care.
I also asked where the £4k’s worth of arrears have come from?..they couldn’t tell me 🤷‍♂️
I am not looking forward to the next couple of months, as by then, I will have absolutely nothing left financially 😢
I must also say, I had been paying my ex parter directly for my children. Everything was fine until the CMS got involved.

Sorry to hear this bro, I have had the same. Ex put me on Cms to spite me and get more money, when they told her she'd be getting 100quid less than what I'd voluntarily paid, she said that I'd failed to keep up payments. Even though I shown them proof they didn't care and did a deo. It was still less than what I paid bt it's all control. Alienated from daughter for near 3 years, had ficticious arrears of 2k- I was unemployed and out of the country for 5 months so where did that come from. Made a massive complaint online before they closed the message portal and they halved it to 1k but I still don't owe that. This is legalised extortion and a way for resident parents to abuse their ex and inadvertently their child. The courts, cms, solicitors all encourage it because its more money for them whilst we suffer.

Well done for your excellent research and presentation. I can say that I rather feel that your work may have been listened to some. In my own situation, in 2022, where the CMS was unwilling to accept my change in income over over 25% my own MP NUS Ghani supported my complaint to the CMS, together with my application to the tribunal.. The CMS initially apologised, provided a new figure and advised me that they were terminate the tribunal action. The following day, the CMS sent a new increased figure for me to pay. I submitted a further complaint, advising that the whole action of the CMS was affecting my health, and which my MP also supported. A further investigation and apology was then carried out by the CMS, whom, following evidence of my payments to the receiving parent, accepted that I had indeed been overpaying . Again thankyou for your work, which i understand has come at a significant personal sacrifice by yourself.

You my friend deserve so much for going through so much in order to show what so many Paying Parents are going through. I am fighting at the moment to try and prove that the CMS have placed me in arrears for a period of 2 years when I wasn’t working or able to claim benefits (living on credit cards and loans) despite my HMRC records showing this, they used the HMRC records from 2 years prior (which I had already paid) and this is now debt of thousands. Add to that when I was on. DOE order for 2 years its come to light almost 3 years later that the employer didn't pay the amount requested by CMS and at no time did the CMS tell me this, surprise surprise another few thousand pounds added in arrears. I have been fighting the CMS for 7 years when the first error happened and am still no closer to getting this rectified. I try getting advice and I am told so many times, that I will just have to pay the arrears! Wish I could charge someone randomly £7000 and they have no choice but to pay! I would be in jail for fraud in about 3 weeks! The CMS need reforming and reforming now! I have tried going to the Press, News, Media etc and I either hear nothing back or a generic reply saying to go to me MP. Tried that endless times!

I have a suggestion of another route. Have you considered adding to your report a cover test about how it could be used to judge the "value" aspect of the "value for money accessment" and providing this as a test that could be conducted when the NAO next accesses the CMS.
If it is made easy for the NAO then suddenly they CMS will struggle as the "value" calculation is the really hard part of these accessments.

  • @dangranet7621
    @dangranet7621 2 года назад +9

Of course she wants to ! We live in a greedy world unfortunately. My attitude here in the uk is this - when a couple splits and a child is involved, both parents should automatically have equal rights for custody, if you’re prepared to have custody of your child for at least half the time you should pay absolutely nothing to the other party. If you feel you do not want custody of that child for at least half the time you give up your right to not pay the other party!! Here in the U.K. the mother automatically has the right of custody over the father ! There is only one reason for this - and that is to cause as much pain as possible for both party’s , and to squeeze the father financially for at least 16 - 20 years. It’s big business!! Tony Blair , David Cameron, and a number of other ex and current politicians have shares in this business set up! The CMS actually charge both parents a FEE to collect and receive money from both parents - so you see , they feed off of misery and profit from it! Another corrupted governmental organisation that only serves themselves .

I love how all the comments in this post are in agreement. Me and my partner collectively pay £600 / month in CSA. How on earth are all government payments means tested but not these? If I earned £50000 I’d ‘owe’ my children a tenth of that, like I would be giving them a tenth of that sum of money if they lived with me? My ex earns more than I do, works full time while his new misses older kids look after mine while he’s not there. Not only that, we don’t qualify for benefits like they do because of our earning regardless of the children we have and pay for, we have a tiny 2 bed bk2bk and 4 kids between us, we have to buy them clothes because the other party expects it, my partner wants ‘all his clothes back’ except, I’ve paid for those too? They live in a 6 bed detached house with a garden while we have nothing. Our kids probably won’t get pensions but I can’t save for them because I have nothing but my ex has no concept of this and would rather spend all my money on them and their family now, than save for their future. It’s disgusting, it’s not right, and there’s no one fighting for this misdemeanour. It was changed to prevent too many calculations done, ie staff were overwhelmed. So we don’t have the technology to change that now? Really??? This country makes me sick.

Dam this why in UK, i just work and save. So i can go overseas for 4-6 months. have kids over there, no bloody women roar goverment support over there. Just simple life, men provide. £300 a month pays for rent/food in Africa. But in UK, that's her makeup money.
    Screw that.
If u are a man, don't buy a property if ur still with ur parents and u get on with them because another thief is Council tax! Everyone with a property has to pay that shit. If you have a property that's a life of paying council tax for ur place.
Live at ur parents and pay rent for ur bedroom, go work in UK and overseas to have ur kids, keep the wife/kids there.
Come back to ur parents home, work 3-4 months, go back for 8 months. That's the best alternative.
