- Atlanta rapper Young Thug, born Jeffery Williams, faces multiple charges under Georgia's RICO Act. Williams, believed to be the leader of the YSL collective, supposedly operated a "criminal street gang" from outside his residence. Williams faces eight charges in a 65-count indictment. These charges include drug possession, possession with intent to distribute, and participating in criminal gang activity as an individual employed by a criminal street gang. Opening statements will take place on November 27.

The first day it was because they were still arguing admissible evidence and a jury came late. Yesterday I suppose it was for the cameras showing the jury… Clearly they still don’t agree in admissible evidence/ the law/ constitutional rights so… 🤷🏻♀️

Plenty of substantive material to use in the appellate process assuming the worse case scenario for each of the six defendants. Hopefully the jury sees through the nonsense and decides accordingly.

Steel is one of the best, most efficient and well prepared trial lawyers Ive ever watched A real class act .. This woman prosecutor on the other hand is an amateur and frankly out of her depth.. One wonders where we would be if none of the other 25 + defendants hadn't copped pleas and this disorganised prosecutor was dealing with all of that !

That kind of testimony would have to come from a forensic dna/finger print lab tech.

Hey y’all - I haven’t seen photos of the weapon yet, but I’m almost positive that the cops that were on scene photographed-with their work phones-the gun and any other relevant elements. Reason being, they know they will probably be called to testify in the future (10+years later)!

We don’t send people to jail for being a negative influence on another person. I know it’s weird to think, but gangster rap is art, just like lots of edgy art forms of the past. Using that as evidence is wrong, and we can’t put people in jail because it feels good. We have laws and they should be impartial.
