What struck me was the depth of expression on Anin's face as Lady Uang confessed her love for her. Becky literally nails this scene without saying word. She showed empathy and compassion towards Lady Uang and was deeply touched by her raw honesty. This scene was a 10!
i appreciate the scene where anin listened to uang's confession. anin's face expressions were on point even if there are no words uttered! bec's acting skills getting better ✨
My god, I've never seen such a lesbian and artistic production. I don't think they've done anything period-themed with such high cinematographic quality since Hanmaiden. The peacock dance is one of the most beautiful things in Thai culture and seeing this in a series with sapphic content makes me have more respect for THE LOYAL PIN. The cousin's scene breaks my heart because she somehow knows that in the rigidity of her society that kind of love is forbidden and she is committed, which makes it worse and causes more anguish for her. That's why she talks about how her feelings are deeper and that no one else can have them but Anil, even if they possess her body. I hope she finds happiness. I really admire how they improved Anil and Pin, there is more depth than what is read in the book.

I really feel so angry about Lady Eungfa's situation and Pin's because both are in the same situation of not being able to choose. Eungfa at least confessed but with the conviction that she couldn't expect anything from Anil. Let's be honest Anil's status gave her some freedom but she is also a character that challenged the rules of her time, she is a feminist lesbian and she is willing to do anything. I was shocked by that peacock dance, the music is beautiful, this production was made with great care and they shouldn't treat it like a simple GL, this series deserves all the recognition it can get for challenging itself, period dramas are not too popular and yet this series has more than 85M views and has received positive reviews from people who don't consume lesbian content, so I congratulate them and FB for going all out.

A lesbian series that combines its traditional culture with a love story between women, I can say that The Loyal Pin is unique in its genre, now that there are so many mostly toxic GLs and with very repetitive stories, we have this series that has nothing to envy a Netflix production. You can feel the power of its narrative and the challenges faced by women who love others in a mostly patriarchal time and culture. Anin's scene with Lady Engfa is a reminder of how those women suffered in their time, their dialogue was so sad but also a reflection that even though we have now socially advanced some problems continue to happen, I really understand why this series is not for everyone. The dance scene, the traditional music, reminds me of those period kdramas, absolutely brilliant production that the ministry supported and I'm glad it's working as a tourism engine, I've seen videos on tiktok of people who plan to visit the country watching TLP

Wow, nunca pensé que pudiera encontrar cultura, una danza tradicional hermosa en una serie lésbica, además de una enorme cinematografía que solo puedes ver en series de plataforma, realmente esta serie es otro mundo, no la encasillaría en un mero GL no lo merece, THE LOYAL PIN bien puede participar en premios de prestigio porque tiene todos los elementos, además de exponer al mundo la cultura de TAILANDIA. This episode unbelievably peaked in showcasing Thailand's richness in culture. I have learned so much through this series beyond the GL genre. TLP & FB have done a spectacular job with their soft power in making me put Thailand at the top of my destination bucket list. Lady Uangfah's confession was heartbreaking but selfless and aware (of the obstacles against women -- no matter their status -- like her during this period). I also liked that even Miss Aon had some redemption and understood her place in the end. That second ring exchange was beautiful. I love AninPin's love and devotion to each other. That being said, we're finally dipping our feet in some real drama and angst next episode -- and THAT car scene is coming. BUCKLE UP, FOLKS!
I have been waiting for this dance since the beginning of the series. I was curious to see something traditional from Thailand. We must applaud Idolfactory for presenting Thai culture in an elegant and beautiful way that makes us fall in love with Thailand more and more. This series is not only important to the LG category, but it presents history very beautifully. I love such series and I am proud that we now have them in the LG series. Good job to all the staff and Freen and Becky definitely made the work even better❤

Okay, so. Three things: Freen and Bec have no right to look _this_ unbelievably gorgeous in traditional dresses. Lady Aon has my respect. And Lady Uang has all my heart.
Uang especially. Gods, how I feel for that woman. The way she confessed with such absolute grace, not expecting anything from it but just letting Anin know how she feels because it simply got too hard to keep the secret to herself. Watching her heart break in so many ways because she already knows it can never be was unbearable. "Whoever may take possession of my body," that phrase especially punched me right in the chest. Uang completely resigned to her fate as a woman, knowing there's really nothing she could do if she wants to live safely. Her own body isn't hers to control, so she holds on to her feelings at least since they're hers alone. She reminds me of a quote from an older movie called Memoirs Of A Geisha: _"The heart dies a slow death, shedding each hope like leaves until one day there are none. No hopes. Nothing remains."_ Man, I hope she gets a happy ending. Her story keeps getting sadder. Someone give my girl a break. 😣
And Aon... yea, as I said, she regained my respect this episode. She really did mess up good with that delusional threat to Anin, but what's important is she didn't go through with it. That's really all that matters. She got emotional, she lost her grip, she went mach 3 down the toxic tracks for a hot second but she pulled the emergency brakes just in time. Thank goodness she did because with the infamous "bed scene" already on her board I don't think there would've been any redemption for her had she even told a single soul about Pin and Anin.
To me, Aon is a good reminder of what it means to be human. We lose ourselves. We make mistakes. And not just small ones either. Sometimes when we're too stuck in our misguided thoughts and feelings we really mess up and end up taking swings at the people we love the most. What's important is that we learn to stop ourselves before it's too late, because there absolutely is such things as "too late" and "too much." Aon showed she can do that. She hasn't learned how to keep herself in check and not let things escalate in the first place, but she has enough maturity to stop herself at least. That counts for something. She has so much more learning and maturing to do, but she has demonstrated that she's ready and willing to. For that alone she has my thumbs up.

There was so much to unpack in this episode, but I really did find it very interesting how it panned out for the women as well.
With Aon, I think a lot of people were prepared to go and hate on her, but she also was the victim of unrequited love, but showed how dangerous sometimes that can go. Like when someone feels so much pain, sometimes they just lash out and bring that pain to others. This could have gone a lot worse, but Anin handled it in a way that I think allowed Aon to process the pain better. If Anin had been ruder for example, this might have pushed the nuclear option easier, but she actually just was honest with Aon and I think that honesty and respect she had as a friend allowed this to progress and give Aon the time to back down and decide maybe she did want to keep the friendship after all, but she needed the time.
With Uang, her story is so sad because THIS is the story you tend to hear more, when you think of the thousands of nameless women we don't know who had to swallow their real feelings and end up in situations like this. Where they might have strong unrequited love, where they can't be with who they want to be because it wouldn't be accepted, whether it's same sex, someone the family doesn't approve of, and more. So her story is more than just the pain of confessing to someone who she is aware doesn't feel the same way - it is the pain of all those types of lives where a person's outward appearance and body is not really their own, and the only part of them they can keep is their heart and mind which may hold an ocean of different feelings and thoughts that they cannot usually show. She was so brave for this confession, and I just want her to find happiness somehow T_T
Then we also have what feels like foreshadowing between Anin and Pin and the different ways they approach the relationship.
We have Anin who is higher status, who was allowed to be curious and free to an extent, who learned to be more open and honest, who learned she needs to state outright what she wants to get it, who says that if there is anything she can do for them, she will do it. This foreshadows for me that Anin may literally do anything, because she is that fierce and willing to fight for this, and that could be detrimental to her.
Then we have Pin who admires this but admits she is not as brave. She doesn't have the same status, we see when someone confronts her she is quiet and panicky (Lord Joi grabbing her), she doesn't want to be a burden and put other people in awful situations. So when she gives the ring to Anin, it's on her right finger because she doesn't want to cause trouble for Anin. And I feel this desperation to not be a burden to Anin or to get her into trouble is going to play a significant part in the trials of their relationship.
And I look forward to it. I have enjoyed their love, their communication, their moments. I'm ready for the promised pain now. Give it to me XD
@@mkstephenson2089 Loved your comment 👌To add a few more stray thoughts: I know it's lame to keep bringing up GAP but I personally find it so curious how Khun Sam and Khun Pin share the exact same fatal flaw: overpaying perceived debts. Sam was ready and willing to fight for her relationship with Mon until Grandma was hospitalized. That's when Sam immediately thought it was her fault the woman who raised her got sick, and she now had to make up for it. She sacrificed _everything_ to do so. She was willing to completely break herself and accept a life she herself had compared to "pure hell" in one of the earlier episodes just because she felt like it was now her job to make sure her grandmother doesn't pass away. If that meant tearing her own heart apart and going through with everything she never wanted to do, so be it.
Khun Pin seems frighteningly similar to Khun Sam in that regard. You already made a couple good points that show how Pin feels indebted to Anin and her family for taking her in, and to Princess Patt for raising and looking after her. Everyone in the palace except the servants outranks her too, and that's in a time period where status and rank still carry weight. The burden on Pin's shoulders must feel enormous. Until now she's tried her best to express herself to Anin and convey her feelings to her, but never anywhere as freely as Anin did. Pin constantly looks over her shoulder and to the people around her who saved her life and gave her a new one. She doesn't want to be the source of anyone's pain, least of all for Anin. "Trapped between a rock and a hard place" sums up her position quite nicely, even though it feels like the understatement of the century.
At least they have the firstborn prince already in their corner. I have a feeling Prince Anan will come to play a huge role in helping them find acceptance. ... Either that, or he himself will surrender to tradition and expectations and take back his support. Now that'd be a plot twist right there. 👀Ugh, lemme join you on the Promised Pain Train. Got my seatbelt, my snackies and my tissues. I'm ready. Bring it. 🤣🤣

Well, there is a similarity I suppose between Sam and Pin in that they are both descended from royalty and both have the pressures and expectations of that placed upon them. I think Pin is slightly higher rank than Sam who is basically untitled, but they're both on the low end of the ranking system but still upper class compared to servants/everyone else.
When you grow up with these types of expectations it is very very hard to shrug them away. Sam had only her grandmother and then as grandchild 1 and 2 peeled off she had increasing pressure on her. Yet we see she still tried to branch out in her own way. But because she'd made these promises to her grandma and then she fell ill and blamed herself for it...
Lady Pin on the other hand as observed is indebted as well, (eyy you remembered) and even more trapped and perhaps more isolated/limited in her options too. While the circumstances are different, both carry that heavy sense of duty that was ingrained in them. Pin feels more delicate than Sam though, I could legitimately see Pin pine herself to death if it gets too harsh, so let's hope that doesn't happen XD
I think Pin had the benefit of being able to express herself more and more just because of how open and accepting Anin is. She's discovering things about herself all the time, like realizing how reckless her jealousy can be (I loved the conversation when they were on the swing on the beach where she admitted she knew it didn't make sense to feel like this but she couldn't help it and she felt bad for that - great articulation of these complex emotions)! But in moments of stress she panics and can't do it. It's just Anin who gives her that space and time to be open when everywhere else she just can't be so. Pin definitely has a much heavier burden on her.
Prince Anan is clearly trying to help cover for them, so I think he'll try to help in his own quiet way, though we are yet to see how that may happen. If he twists on that, that'd be the most brutal backstab since Anin adores him and respects his opinion.

I actually have no words. This episode might have been one of my favorites so far... everything was incredibly perfect. Every single character did SUCH an amazing job. The cinematography was splendid and I'm so glad we got to see some of thailand's culture and traditions represented. As an international fan, i found this episode to be outstanding!

The sweetness and gentleness, of this kind of love is something to really look up to. So real! I'm grateful to the production staff of this series who beautifully portrayed Thailand and its culture. I experienced various emotions during this episode. I have a lot of respect for Khun Uang because she expressed her feelings to Anin without causing her any discomfort and she did not expect same feeling from her. The last part was wonderful but now I want to cry for the pain that Anin and Pin are going to suffer and this is ridiculous because I was impatient to see these episodes, but now even thinking about them makes me sad.

I actually plan on visiting in the future. Many GL series are going to be released but I believe that the loyal pin is truly the best GL series to be ever made in history.
