It's the viper not the sidewinder or srx sidewinder. It's meant to be torque filled reliable and long lasting like most of what yamaha makes. It's not for top speed nuts. Just a dependable trail sled. Which it is. Idc if yamaha is leaving the snowmobile game. They've proven to our family to be the most reliable machines so I will continue to ride yamaha as long as I can.
I have a 23 850 Blizzard and yes it is fast but on saddle bag trips that we usually do 3-4 days this is the sled for that purpose for sure and it is my other sled. Sure when the guys hit top speeds which is not that often but for 99% of the riding it’s more than enough sled. Plus the one 4 day trip I did on the 850 cost me an additional $200 of oil . Nothing wrong with this sled it’s a good ride too.
