I’m an Adolescent & Young Adult cancer research nurse in Australia. I worked with AYA patients who had sarcoma. You MUST have chemotherapy to eradicate micro metastatic cells that don’t show on imaging. It will definitely make a difference to your survival. I’m sorry to say the cancer has probably already spread you just can’t see it. Ask your oncologist and surgeon what your survival will be with chemo and without chemotherapy.
@@isabelgracep you don’t have metastatic cancer that you can see on imaging yet; the chemo is for micro metastatic cancer that may be lurking in the blood/lymph nodes or other place. Please ask your oncologist questions about this.
@@isabelgracepI am a doctor and have to agree with the comment above. There are always tiny tumor cells breaking away and seeding other places via the lymph nodes and blood vessels. It’s impossible for them not to break away. Given that you had a significant amount of time that your tumor grew and it is aggressive, your odds of staying NED (no evidence of disease) is probably around 15%. Sarcoma already has poor prognoses. I just would hate for you to look back one day and wish you had done everything you could to eradicate the micro metastases. I am also a cancer patient and they couldn’t decide whether to do radiation after my entire thyroid was removed bc of a micro tumor. I had it done bc I wanted to eliminate any cells that had spread through my bloodstream already. It was very difficult and I had to be completely isolated from family and even my dog for 10 days. The first day I was allowed around people was my first day of medical school. It has caused me fertility issues, miscarriages and having to find a way to pay $22k for Ivf to only get one embryo. I need another round but it’s entirely expensive w $500k in debt from so much schooling. My only real dream in life was to have a baby. I’m 35 w menopause expected at 38 based on labs bc of my treatment- that they didn’t expect to affect my eggs. But I am alive and cancer free. You seem like a very reasonably person and I’m unlikely to change your mind; I just hope your doctor has explained how cancer cells are constantly breaking away and seeding other areas. It takes lots of time and millions of cells to be able to see a nodule or tumor on imaging. Cancer grows for years before they see it sometimes. Certainly you have cells lingering. It’s a matter of how many, how quickly they divide, and whether your immune system has fought any off. Wishing you all the best regardless moving forward.
@@isabelgracepI am an oncology nurse and I see the damage chemo does to patients. Make a very informed decision before doing anything. Maybe look into high doses of vitamin c infusions also
Dear beautiful Isabel Grace, we all stand with you on your journey of healing. Hopefully, your body will remain healthy for many many more years. We have a body but are not our body, we are so much more. The essence of what you are, of what we all are, can never be tainted or destroyed. You display such courage, such wisdom. Nothing can take that away from you. Be gentle with yourself. Have compassion for yourself in those moments when you do not feel strong or positive. Thank you so much for sharing with us. ❤️💕

You are AMAZING !!!! So brave. I will be sure to say my prayers for you tonight.I am not a religious person but I saw a study that was done Years ago about prayers. It was done by a university (not connected to any religion) . It took two groups of people with terminal cancer, seperated them. One group was prayed for and the other not prayed for. The group that was prayed for had a higher survival rate than the group that wasn't prayed for. Not that you are terminal, but you deserve all of our prayers no matter what. I hope I haven't frightened you in any way. I just want you to know I care. You have a beautiful soul . Let all of your feelings flow ,don't hold back. My best hopes and wishes for you. Toni

I most definately believe you should visit a cancer center and see what other options there may be for you as far as treatment. Also eat as clean and sugar free as you can. God bless you seetheart!❤❤
I’m Doctor Gregory House, Today, we’re going to discuss your claim that living your best life is by rejecting a potentially toxic, but life-saving treatment which might even give you a chance at a longer, better life. Don’t want mommy and daddy feeling guilty of neglect when consequences happen down the road. Doing whatever your doctor says is better safe then sorry. Doing chemo vs no chemo has a significant difference. When we don't follow a doctor's highly recommended option, we settle for a stupid one. The problem I see here is that the world doesn’t work that way just because you want it to. Rare cancer or not, you formulate your decisions based on the answer you want to hear. There is something you can do about it if the cancer cells have spread. Take the treatment, get the bad stuff out of you. Hair always grows back, sometimes even better then before. Think rationally… I don’t want to be the person who says: “I told you so."
Thank you for your comment but my oncologist and surgeon have done an amazing job of removing my cancerous tumor:) I’m living my life sarcoma-free! All cancers are different so I suggest researching a little more “dr. House” ☺️
@@isabelgracep Wow! Didn't know that soft tissue sarcoma can still have lingering cancer cells even if removed in surgery. Have you been declared "cancer free" already? That's pretty fast... When those naughty lingering cancer cells move around to new locations, we'll have to reach a new level of being anxious, but we probably won't find out until 2 - 5 years have passed. Mistakes are as serious as the results they cause. I have to act like a decent human being, and you know what a strain that puts on me.
@@isabelgracep ... wow, if you believe that removing tumor is enough to beat the cancer you are very wrong. Micro cancerous cells that are not visible on any scan, could spread into your body.
