Third and final Rampage game released for this generation. This one is exclusive to the PSX so I was happy to finally play it after years of anticipation! The game takes you through different periods in time and an unique minigame at the end of each time period which was probably done to break up the repetitive gameplay of the earlier games. Whilst it's perhaps an improvement to some, the repetitive gameplay is actually precisely what got me drawn to this franchise in the first place. Fortunately the minigames in this one are all unique whereas Rampage 2 recycles the same minigames over and over. What's also new is being forced to play with 2 CPU's which I personally did not enjoy as it completely messed the camera scroll up. Many times I tried to climb a tall building but was unable to do so because the CPU's were on ground and the camera could therefore not move upwards. Whilst I do think this version is slightly better than Rampage 2, I still prefer the original over all others.
I don't recall much of the second one other than it looking better than the first game here and there and I think at the end the player goes into space. But in general it was just more of the first. I think it were those forced extra players that made me quit Rampage 3 as I had the same frustration as you have with them.
Totally agree with you, the 2 CPU monsters on the adventure mode are annoying, Harley was a nice addition to the group and kinda sucks the dark green Myukus wasn't there, I'm hoping for a trilogy remaster collection for the three games in the future.
I’m still shocked WB Games DIDN’T try to re-release these games for when the movie came out. Maybe with the rumored movie sequel, they can make a new Rampage game for consoles with online co-op? I know they made a new arcade game at Dave and Busters for the first movie.
Id love to see a reboot of this. Each era having the native languages, and each flying/charging enemy a boss battle. Update the population a little and give the monsters their own special ability. Obviously add more dinosaurs and aliens, plus other super natural stuff 😜😅🙏🏼
I remember the Greece, Atlantis and Egypt levels so well these games were gold to me as a kid they hit sooo hard and at the time looked incredible. Low key educational too
I never knew this existed in all honesty it looks so good and fun it’s something I wanted fun repetition but I can see why having CPUs can be troublesome they kill the momentum of the game, they are mostly just meat shields, they just wander and beat each other up. I know it’s to keep the game fun but they coulda improved the CPUs more.
The gameplay was rather repetitive and as I had already completed the first two games I did not feel like going through this one. It was also harder for some reason. But looking at this longplay I do like the artists' ideas for some of the time zones such as the Jurassic era/Flintstones one, the Eskimo one, the Victorian London one (I think at one point one of the monsters eats Ebenezer Scrooge and Tiny Tim), and the Mayan ones. What kind of buildings you encounter but also the enemy types. So graphically it is still quite fun to look at.
9:39 Eiffel Tower in the background... Big Ben in the foreground. Typical Rampage tongue-in-cheek humor. Not the first error in the series: in Universal Tour, there are trucks with three beds in certain stages, one of which is Detroit. Trucks like that are illegal in Michigan.

They’re not very good.
“of course the wolf flies!” *- The Rock.*
*Sounds of Ralph Eating the Passengers on the helicopter*
Okay wow now THIS one i've never heard of. Definitely gonna watch some of this. I love this series but i never knew about this title lol. Nice
This was THE toughest Rampage game I ever played, bar none.

Man I miss out on the cool games on the PSX and this one looks pretty fun. Thanks for the playthru LPA!

I wonder if the alien timeline implies the aliens came back for revenge and succeeded
My childhood game, loved it so much
This is like shooting a needle full of nostalgia
Never knew this existed. I thought Total Destruction was part 3.

Exactly my thoughts too.. and good point about them beating each other up. I forgot to mention that part in my top comment
I remembered renting this game from blockbuster a long a$$ time ago....the news anchor guy always makes me laugh 😂
Thank goodness nothing happened at ScumLabs and no monsters went back in time or anything.
I saw that intro at seven years old and it's been burned into my memory ever since.

I think they introduced the minigames to avoid repetition
5:52 That guy is dead for sure
Does this game force you to have 2 other monsters as the CPU's when playing alone? Or can you take them off in options menu?
Maybe I didn't search hard enough but I couldn't find such option to toggle them off
This Rampage game is fine but it could’ve been improved!
Rampage Through Time... it the only Rampage Game to be Exclusive on PS1

I wanted to see tournament mode boo
why are you not eating none of the items?!
The graphics are like blinding me
Es gracioso como se pelean el verde y el morado 😂
Can you skip these opening cutscenes?
Yeah, I left em in for the video tho lol
@@longplayarchive Ah, just making sure… they kinda drag on for far too long.
@@gantz22ify They do. I skipped the opening one at first because I thought it was endless 😅 had to re-record it later
@@longplayarchiveThey’re convinced they’re funnier than they actually are.
@@gantz22ify Thats an accurate statement lol
Very hard game to find
Only Way to play Rampage™ before Watch The Movie
It wouldn't have been so bad if they didn't force us to play alongside two computers.
Dang
The jokes with this newsreader really aren't working.
There were jokes?
@@gantz22ify Well so the propaganda claims.
Ru achava esse jogo um barato
The most annoying intro in the whole world
