Banda Aceh is one of the safest city in Indonesia. It safer than other city like Medan or Jakarta. In Jakarta, even I can lose my glasses on the mosque. My friend from Medan also admitted that Aceh is safer than their place. Implement Sharia's Law doesn't means it's dangerous.
It quite literally does mean that. I could get severely physically hurt if I kissed my boyfriend in those streets in Aceh. Some perspective is needed from your side about how other people and their beliefs aren’t the same as you and how that affects them, not you.
I mean no hate or disrespect but it must be so hard travelling as a plus size person I'm plus size myself and I'm so worried about flying to India I'm scared about not being able to fit in the seat
I felt so bad for you, could tell you felt miserable. It’s so not fun traveling when you feel off/crappy and you are still trying to keep a friendly smile on your face even though everything is pissing you off. Do you get scared going to the ATM by yourself like that, especially at night? I know I would as I was almost attacked at a drive up ATM several years back.

bad luck on your evening food hunt. If the head doesn't clear perhaps go to a local klinik and get some medicine. Sounds like you may have an infection. Used to get them all the time. Disappointed with your video's tittle. Aceh is not dangerous, Aceh is peace but with tide rules and you should respect it. Many tourists come and they are save and happy.

Im sorry but you should have been dressing more modestly in Aceh... at the very least covering your arms, legs and neck area... I'm a bule living in Indonesia and spending 5weeks in Sumatra in May, one of those in Aceh and have spent one year researching and talking to Achenese prior to going. Its not the most dangerous place in Indonesia but certainly one you must show the utmost respect in.
I am wearing a loose t shirt and long loose pants. I consulted my Muslim friend, who I did Ramadan with and went to her mosque, and she said it was more than appropriate. I did not enter the mosque nor its grounds without a head covering. Many non-Muslim Achenese locals were wearing much less than I, including 3/4 gym tights. I’ll take her word over yours about what is appropriate, thanks ☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️

Unless you say this city is trully dangerous.
Dangerous is subjective based on situation. A city where we are constantly breaking the law by literally just existing, with punishments including flogging and not limited to literal DEATH is the most dangerous city for us. Not even to mention the Tsunami that happened here that killed 200,000 people. Again, I’ll name my videos what I want and for anyone with the slightest of intelligence this would have been easy to figure out.

That punishment only implemented to people that live in Aceh; and flogging is only to make someone ashamed in such way that no one will conduct sin again such as gambling, adultery etc which is really prohibited in Islamic religion. Moreover, I never see someone get punished until DEATH, not even literal DEATH. If some of them colaps, it's because of the anxiety. It's only stereotype called Aceh is dangerous, but if you live here, you will find the safest city in Indonesia.
Orang Aceh aja Paling banyak pindah rumah dan membeli rumah di medan. Buka Usaha Kuliner, transportasi, etc.. Juga di medan. Nonton Film bioskop, liburan juga pada ke Medan. Memang keren kota medan dijuluki kota kriminal atau Gotham city tetep aja pada banyak yang datang dan nyari makanan super enak dan murah di medan 😊

Yeah it was a mixture of that, and Ramadan being enforced in Banda Aceh, so we couldn’t eat or drink etc. and so hot haha. I’m getting better now ☺️
