That is a Sufi type of musical song. The lyric personifies the poet's Idea and the way of his thinking by using the reality of people's life experiences specialy when they are in love of somthing or some one and living in the best mode and fashion of thier life time to interperet or to explain the thing ( like Nirvana or something in their mythical world) that they are after. Mowlana Balkhi - Rumi was the master of this kind of poetry along with some others. Shjarian family are the best in this type of music that is called traditional. Traditional music in Iran as a matter of fact has it's root in great Silk road bazaar which was extended from China to Sogdia, Bacteria, Persia, Armenia, Anatolia al the way to Syria and from Kashgar to Gujarat. The bazaar that later on called Silk road was established around 200 B.C.E. upon agreement between Greco - Sogdian (also called Greco - Bacterian) government and Han dynasty of China. You may call the culture "Eastern Hellenism"
