This right here is why Nick is a successful Grimm, he was trained by another Grimm, but by Wesen, he was not trained with mindset bias, he learned from Wesen about Wesen. He gained allies and friends from all the places.
Like the Icebeibers; they love him for standing up for them! A Grimm on their side; they feel safe and protected with Nick, and they make one helluva information network: even if no one in the Lodge knows something, they'll know someone else who does~

There are plenty of cousins, but a good sheep-dog is hard to replace.
Always loved Monroe. One of my all time favorite characters on any show. Silas Weir Mitchell played a great character on Prison Break, too. Before they killed him off.

I love how in these shows long-lost parents are so shocked and "hurt" by their kids' choices... Like, guys, if you wnated him/her/them to follow your path of morality, you should have been there to raise them.
"How dare you not agree with my personal beliefs that I have made no attempt to instill into you while I was gone and left you thinking I was dead, traumatizing you for life and, oh, that's right, also ruining whatever bond you had with your grandmother! I'm your [insert family relationship here] and I raised you better than this!"
It is pretty hilarious that it almost always works too. Along with any villain spouting "we're not so different you and I" rhetorics.
Just another way to rationalize the single parent home in the west.

What I also find stupid is that she immediately attacked Monroe despite the fact that Nick obviously knows him and Rosalee, let them in the house, and heard them talking about their common enemy.

Haven't watched or even heard anything since the show ended. Using a browser that supposedly sorta hides search history and shit from advertisers and stuff.....aaaaaand Grimm video out of nowhere. I wasn't even using this browser since I watched Grimm, and had my operational system reinstalled on this PC about 3 times since watching the show....RUclips's a weird place lass...

And she is genuinely terrifying.
You can imagine her being seen as a personification of the boogeyman. (Testament not to the looks of the actress, but her skill. She does a fantastic job in the role)
And, if Rosalee's face is of any indication, she agrees with that.

The acting man. The way Nick shudders, pulls away. The way his mother is trying to comfort him in a way she can. They’re both still reeling from so much. She finds out he’s a Grimm and finally gets to see and talk to her son again. He finds out she’s alive, always has been, was also a Grimm, and that his aunt knew the whole time

Juliet never forgave herself, either. They didn't know she was going to die. She was only told about getting the baby back.
And they both still managed to help him save humanity.
Well, Aunt Marie told Nick to end it with Juliette; he should've listened.
I'll never forgive her for burning down the trailer. It was the well spring of just about all Wesson knowledge.

Lot's of people wished the show to return featuring the sons and daughters.
But what about a spinoff with Nick's mom and Aunt Marie when they were young and doing the hunts.
The problem is that ALL Wessen would be either evil or victims (making the Mother and the Aunt kind of the villains). It wouldn't work. It's the fact that Nick was different and understood all Wessen weren't inherently bad that made Grimm so good... Somehow it's when Once Upon A Time understood it too, that THIS show became interesting as well...
Just my opinion obviously.
I imagine that being set in the 80s especially how female grims are activated during their teens like a slayer.

I wanted to see a spinoff with TRUBEL and Josh (the guy who's father was a Grimm but he wasn't). Josh becomes a Grimm later and Trubel has to train him back in Philadelphia. That show would work being that there are a ton of stories that can be told (considering the original team had a 'flash forward' of 20 years into the future so we know where they are in 2 decades).

I know it was the writers, but without Monroe and Silas Wier playing Monroe, this show wouldn't have gotten the pilot episode picked up. I can't imagine anyone except Silas delivering lines about Wesen life in such an ordinary, 'this is life' kind of way. Everyone else playing Wesen is just so intense about the Wesen aspects of their lives, even Bud. Like they are aware that they are different. Monroe always acted if everyone pee'd around their property to mark their territory, and cousins fought to the death at all family reunions. it is like he saw humans as being another animal, which evolved in a different direction, but they had their own animalistic qualities.

Ilove how Rosalee was ready to back Monroe up in a fight but hen pulled Monroe off to calm him down. Julliette might not have extra abilities but her knowledge of medicine, and being a vet, helped in a few episodes.
Monroe is one of my favourite from Grimm. So sad Netflix is getting rid of the show. Don’t know what I’ll bing watch on.

Wantsumbread Yeah It’s only on Netflix until Jan 5th. They got rid of it here in Australia and afew other countries. It will only be available to users in the U.S not sure about Canada. I think I also have to purchase the series as well.

Being both a detective and a Grimm has certainly made life for Nick a lot less boring. It must be great knowing that, for certain situations, if he can't deal with it as a cop, he has "other" options available to him.

Well Nick's mom is Nick's mom. And she is the Grimm of the old school. Nick is very blessed to have met Monro and then Rosalie. Then fully extended out to several members a truly faithful family and friends even with the return of Eve.

Kelly was such a badass, but the way show killed her was sad and after her death, Nick did not even mourn her or any last ceremony. He was like, oh well let's go to the job now.

I love this. And the scene when Monroe’s parents meet Nick.
I can understand why Wesen are suspicious of Grimms but I don't understand why Grimms are so suspicious of Wesen. Like regular people you have your good ones and bad ones. Based on Nicks books Grimms have been homicidal maniacs. Nicks mom couldn't have never met a good Wesen.
