@@sockpuppettheatre8861 😂 💀 😂 dude I also pivoted from getting one. I gave it a lot to thinking. One I wanted was $11,000 which meant water and noodle diet for the whole year and deal with guilt trips 😂

On a Shimano you just have to pair it up with a Garmin, then you have a proper percentage.
40% is 2 bars ... but so is 21% ... so that kind of sucks when you have 5 bars in total. I regularly get back to the parking with 1-2% of battery, literally doesn't matter if I take my 630Wh or my 504Wh, I do laps until it is empty ..... I am eye-balling the new-new LT version of this at the very moment.
I am curious if my 630Wh gives me 7 laps in Trail, whether a 730 would do 10 :O ... even with uplift people do 5-6 laps, so that would be killer :)

Check out Ryan's review of the LT on our site, and here on RUclips, from the launch. It's pretty much been his favourite long travel eMTB he's ridden - which speaks pretty highly about it!

Intersting bike, what do you think compared to levo expert?
    many thanks

Hi Davide - very different bikes. The Levo Expert really steps towards more of a planted Enduro bike with the suspension setup. The Pivot is more lively - and with a little better range for our riding.

Compared to that new C1 Norco Range VLT this is overpriced, under batteried, and ugly as hell.

    • @Australianmountainbike
      @Australianmountainbike  3 года назад +3

This one sits in a totally different ball park to the Range VLT C1 in terms of travel, intended use, weight and component spec.
For overall ride and intended use the Pivot Shuttle is probably more comparable to the Sight VLT C1. There are huge differences in geometry though, with about 20mm longer chainstays on the Sight VLT, and the Pivot has a stiffer fork with the 38 compared to the Sight VLT C1's 36.
Pricing wise, Pivot have always been higher end. But the XTR group set compared to the mid-level SRAM group on the Sight VLT C1 aren't really comparable.
In a sense it's apples and oranges but also, it's so good that there is such a growing range of eMTBs to choose from! The Sight will suit charging and all out high speed stability, whereas the Pivot has agility closer to a non-assisted bike. The Range VLT is just massive - maybe ideal for Thredbo or Maydena if they let you ride up!

That norco is a damn good looking bike, especially the blue and gold reminds me of the 2018 santa cruz nomad colours 👍

@@megane230f1 Definitely, and just seems to be a lot more value. Especially with the massive 900wh battery

Beauty is in the beholder! To me the Pivot Shuttle is the best looking ebike on the market & the best bang for $$$...Nothing to spend on any upgrades & lighter than most...I considered the Norco & even the Merida 9000 but it was like buying a Commodore... :)

Put all the carbon fiber and lithium ion you want into any mountain bike and still, there's no effing way anyone can justify that 16k price tag. Absolutely breathtakingly hilarious anyone would allow themselves to be bilked this heavily. 🤣

Ha ha.... 230km in Eco. Downhill or what? Never ever. I ride a Rotwild RE375. With 2 batteries of 375 Wh you can ride approx 120km and 3200 meters of climb. Look at the body....it is from the beginning of making internal batteries and man this is ugly and a lot of brands have way more betters solutions for it. The price is for people who are thinking to eat gold is cool. Pivot....few years ago the Shuttle was great but you will loose your market position with this bike for this price.

Do you really need all that on a fucking mountain bike? I'd understand if you were an Olympian athlete or something. But it's fucking ridiculous, you can do exactly the same with a much less priced bike. At this point it would be a much smarter decision to buy a motorcycle for motocross.
