Cool shot when you were setting up your chair with the sun reflected in the river. That, ah, firepit chair is definitely interesting. Can't say I've ever seen anything like that.

Thanks man that was exactly my favorite moment. But I have been trying to get better at the click through rate so I thought it best to actually show the truck setup that I was talking about. I actually took that moment you are talking about and took some still images and shared them on fb yesterday. Was awesome timing. Yeah the fire pit is weird. But its cheap, packs small, and works really well

Cool tent. It's practically glamping! Love the fire pit too.

It is a very cool piece to have. I am going to use it a lot I think. Our adventures up north should benefit greatly from it. So easy to set up and it's pretty cozy. Definitely need a pee bottle though lol

Also- thanks for offering up the links for some of the stuff used in your video. That's very helpful.

Anytime! It's helpful because I'm sure folks like to know and when they do use it it helps support the channel!

Very nice set up. Will you be able to transport your canoe on top ?

Yes sir. That's why this tent is significant. It's got a hard shell and aluminum racks up top!

Which is more comfortable, this topper tent or your Haven Hammock? Which is more convenient or more suitable to your needs?

That would be a very difficult question to answer. Mostly because they are used in very different ways. For example, I cannot take my rooftop tent Canoe Camping. So as my needs change so does my gear. I have many different shelters, and I select them based on the trip and how I feel at the time about the terrain. But to answer the core question I guess I would say the Haven is more comfortable to sleep in. Little bit easier to get in and out of, and the pad is far thicker. If I was doing some truck camping though similar to my Maine trips I would likely sleep in the rooftop. Anything with a base camp approach though, exploring around and returning to the same camp each night, the Haven or a Tent

Awesome...have you noticed any difference in gas mileage...i was worried about that when i put a full steel rack system and drawers in my 4 runner.. but hasnt seemed to matrer...was wondering what a rtt may do.

Honestly it hasn't been that long but I have not seen a huge difference. But keep in mind I'm used to having a tall cap on. But I've got a running average for all the years I've owned this truck and it hasn't decreased much from adding the cap, and then adding the rtt. This type rtt is pretty low profile.
