There are also some great bloopers compilations that just crack you up over and over. Worth searching. This is Australian television comedy at its best
Comment One: The reference to the groom running off with the best man is a true story. It was 1990. The bride was Primrose Potter, a socialite, who was to marry a Italian "prince". He eloped with the best man. Undeterred, Primrose, aka Pitty Pat, found a Polish count in Melbourne and married him, finally fulfilling her dream to be an aristocrat - of sorts. It was a situation worthy of ridicule. Last reported, Pitty Pat had dementia, the prince was hale and well living in Egypt and the best man was dead, a victim of HIV. Comment Two: At the height of Fast Forward, a senior Qantas steward (as the male flight attendants were then) complained to one of airline's media team about the way stewards were being portrayed these skits. The steward was carrying his "Cats" bag. The media adviser struggled to keep a straight face because the musical was running joke in the skits.
Thanks for the detailed information David, I 'somehow' as I was busy, remember bits and pieces of the facts being mentioned on the news, as the media had made a big controversy about the groom buggering off with another bloke, and something about the bride to be?. I'm a bit North from Melbourne ( i've probably said too much? as i got half a dozen screaming defactos rekoning im dad. tryin to track me down for years of unpaid child support? at least! I didn't do it hey as i couldn't even crack a bar for the dna tests & one look at them shelas gave me an instant psychological vascectomy which i still struggle with, it's still not working properly! , though is a nice & plump 13" stonka. suppose i could be worse off. millions once they catch up with me. Yep i suppose being a wanker is nothing to cry over, i mean i could be a politi... shit im still typing.. work of art to behold :). It sounded so rediculous that i can still remember it being spoken about by the media as these events were happening in real life. This episode cracked me right up at the time & now i can remember why. It's been hilariously all tied in very well by Daryl & Wayne and thanks for mentioning the steward carrying the 'cats' bag.. hahahaa Thanks 😂
In regards to the pilot being sucked from the cockpit: In 1990, the captain of British Airways 5390 was sucked out of the aircraft after the window in front of him blew out, due to the wrong bolts being fitted. He was saved by the flight attendant who was in the cockpit at the time, and held on to his legs for the entire emergency landing. The captain survived, and even returned to flying.
Haha, as soon as the intro music for this sketch started I'd drop everything to watch Darryl & Wayne, after doing homework round 15yrs old. Very talented actors whom give insight into where oz comedy & the 'predominant Australian thinking'🤔😅 of the day was at, in the late 80's early 90's. In my opinion the most funniest, wittiest & most refined Australian comedy to date. Nothing else comes close. Most people can understand it & enjoy it. I was able to get the series from ebay. helps with depression🙃
The parody of Skippy the bush kangaroo are amazing, recommended Skippy when Clancy is abducted and Skippy goes undercover. Over 30 years later, I almost piss myself.
We were also lucky to have a show called Comedy Company. I'm not sure if there's anything on YT from this show, but if there is it's worth checking out... Con The Fruiterer, Kylie Mole. Also check out Kath & Kim... very Aussie, & very funny.
Lorenzo Montesini was a first class flight attendant with Qantas. He worked there the same time as my husband. He used to flit around the jet base and let everyone know who he was !!!
At the time in the city, worksites & banks & elsewhere most Aussies had time to daydream perhaps & (Can't write that- self sennsoor) Nobody would even think of staring at a fone or pager all day, people enjoyed talking to other people personally. Only the Sno.s? would even dare to show their phone in public as it had to be mounted inside a car as it drew so much power & weighed as much as a bessa-block. If you like carrying around a 12v car battery you might get a few hours talk time, if it didn't drop out. Pagers were in wide use. I had 2. They played this true life event so well. If you had a desire to try to amuse 'and who didn't', you could vary this material from FF, make up anything & say it to the recipient cracking both up or they would come back with an even more wittier comeback. Either way it helped to get through the day. - Back In The 80's-
My family watched this show religiously every week. Fast forward. So many hilariously funny and talented cast members remembered today. Why because they were funny.😂

Something is very wrong with your screen, its too wide, and distorted. Missing being able to watch it properly. Please can you go to normal screen. Cheers. 😊
You need to watch your own videos: In all the ones I've seen, the embedded video you're reacting to is squashed and stretched, and doesn't match up with the black rectangle where it's clearly supposed to be. Please fix!
You should make the video screen with what we watch BIGGER,, you spoilt it by making YOUR screen big...seriously it sucks the way you have it..watch it and see for yourself. We don't need to see a big you!
Oh yes I remember these two. Daryl & Wayne. My favourite characters! 😂😂
These two spent the whole time trying to make each other crack up. As time went on their characters became more and more camp.😅
I always remember them trying to contain themselves from laughing.
The outtakes behind the credits at the end was always the best part.
There are also some great bloopers compilations that just crack you up over and over. Worth searching. This is Australian television comedy at its best
Steve Vizard, the one on the left, always cracked up. Part of the fun of watching was to see them trying to crack each other up.
Always had a giggle with them

My favourite duo. The trying not to laugh between them, so funny, and the writing just pure brilliance 👌👌👏👏✨️

I've watched that pilot, terrifying, miraculous survival 😮.
