Literally the best villains in any Digimon season it focused on just enough of them to not feel as if they were just a shallow enemy but not to many which would have drug it out and taken away from the digi-tamers!!!!!!

Well, there were 12 of them and plenty of them were treated as monster of the week, so they can be forgettable and not surprising it can went over some viewers' head

@@7792pnaurfr Yeah I'm confused too. Its like being surprised that all 20 Legendary Spirits or the Celestial Angels were in Diginon Frontier.
Fun fact: In a similar vein to Gilmon being voiced by Masako Nozawa (Goku's VA), Makuramon is voiced by Ryo Horikawa, AKA Vegeta's VA.

It’s actually cz of the way he pronounces them. Like he pronounces the japanese names with an english way that’s why it’s so confusing.

What a interesting video🤔 to know about each of the Deva which they're inspired by the Chinese zodiac.🐒🐕🐯🐎🐃🐖🐑🐁🐇🐓🐍🐉 Im surprised that the cat🐈⬛ isn't mention since it was chosen to become one but was tricked not to come by the mouse.🐭 Just like the other groups seen inspired by the myths(Chinese zodiac, the holy beasts, the archangels, the 7 deadly sins) I really wanted to see them make another group of Digimon based on the 12 signs of the original Zodiac♈️♉️♊️♋️♌️♍️♎️♏️♐️♑️♒️♓️ and the elemental💧🔥🌳🌬 signs they represent. That would be amazing if they were created in the Digimon series.😊🤞 Good video.🙂👍

The Deva Digimon are heavily inspired by a mix of Buddhist and Hindu mythology. While their primary association comes from the Twelve Heavenly Generals in Buddhist tradition, many of their names, roles, and symbolic attributes also have significant ties to Hinduism.
In Hinduism, Devas are celestial beings or gods, often associated with natural forces (e.g., Agni for fire, Varuna for water).
The term "Deva" itself is Sanskrit, meaning "shining one" or "divine being."
Names of the Deva Digimon: Many of the names of the Deva Digimon are directly derived from Sanskrit or Hindu deities:
Mihiramon: The name "Mihira" is associated with the Hindu Sun God, Surya (Mihira also means "sun" in Sanskrit).
Sandiramon: The prefix "Sandira" is phonetically similar to "Chandra," the moon deity in Hindu mythology.
Vajramon: "Vajra" means thunderbolt or diamond in Sanskrit, associated with the Hindu god Indra, who wields the thunderbolt as his weapon.
Indramon: A direct reference to Indra, the king of the gods and the lord of storms and rain.
Caturamon: "Catura" in Sanskrit means "clever" or "wise." It also loosely ties to "Chatur," which means "four," possibly referring to the four-legged canine form.
Antylamon: While not directly Sanskrit, its name is similar to "Antya," meaning "final" or "last," which could signify its role or personality traits.

Apocalymon should really be on par with most Super Ultimates but he suffers from massive glass cannon syndrome which allowed him to be defeated by 01 kids.
Interesting that the tiger beast doesn't get the tiger deva as a subordinate and that the vermilion bird beast doesn't get the cock deva. Yet the dragon beast gets to have the dragon deva. Also, the turtle snake beast should have the snake deva.
I would like that they follow the same animal too, but the Deva are assigned to each Holy Beast based on the elements they are associated with (the sheep, snake and horse are associated with the fire element, like the vermillion bird is) and the Chinese zodiac's order.

Yeah, and I don't know if this is the reason why they all have the same attribute as well.
For example, Zhuqiaomon is a Virus Digimon, and all the Devas under him are Virus type as well. And the same is true of all the other Sovereigns, all of their subordinate Devas are of the same attribute as they're.

In case anyone is confused in japanese they use male pronouns for Lopmon/Andiramon but for some reason the dub changed it. I aware digimon don't have true genders being data and all.

well the dub changes some names for example omegamon to omnimon but i think the devas stay the same could be wrong tho
They do differ from the dub cause I use JP terms and names. :)
Andiramon is changed to Antylamon in the dub, and Indaramon to Indramon. Also the Four Holy Beast is changed to Digimon Sovereigns, but only the name Qinglongmon is changed to Azulongmon. :)
These japanese mangakas/writers are hugely inspired by hinduism and buddhism
Naruto,dbz,digimon,hunter X Hunter etc even gibli movies there are so many references
I am an indian and I feel genuinely happy that hindusim can inspire so many foreign authors
But would have been happier had these mangakas acknowledge hinduism like they acknowledge buddhism, Christianity etc

In the original anime Andiramon is considered a male and was called a boy in the form of Lopmon by Shaochung. But the american translators got confused and went with a girl instead. It was a matter of dialect. Also in the Cyber Sleuth games in the Bio section of Andiramon is says He. Last thing, this is a text to speech app, so the pronunciation is not the 100% best but its good enough. :)

I never understood why the Royal Knights or King Drasil would allow the deva to interfere with the physical world so much. I mean I guess dukemon was busy being Takato's partner, but what about Omegamon, Magnamon, Kentorusmon and all the others. Maybe they weren't a thing when Digimon Tamers came out.
Exactly, the Royal Knights were not yet established as a group at that time (or had just been introduced in the franchise, I do not remember) therefore the group did not exist in that Digital World, as well as the Dukemon product of the combination of Takato and Guilmon was not or is a Royal Knight. And that Digital World was ruled by the Sacred Beasts, without Yggdrasil's presence at all.
I thought the world of Tamers was completely different from both Adventure series, so even if the Knights were established, maybe they weren't meant to be a significant part of the Tamers Digital World.
Guess Royal Knights as we know them simply just dont exist in Tamers universe.
I really dislike how the Anime handled and handles most of these Digimon.
Each faction and individual digimon has interesting lore to them, yet they are completely disregarded in the Anime just to have a villian of the week style of story progression.
I especially disliked that in the third season (Digimon peaked with the end of season 2 and just got worse after it in my opinion) where they disregard any personality trait the Deva have to make them mindless monsters, or flat out completely change their character to fit a villianous role.
I know right. Xross wars went up to eleven in that regard, which pretty much ruined the series to me. Fusion of Four Holy beasts as villain's war horse? Give me a break!
I somewhat agree. At least it was disappointing that Chatsuramon/Caturamon got so little screen time, he seemed interesting.

Hes not. In the original JP Lopmon had a male personality but the translators for the western public got confused and went with a female personality. Check Cyber Sleuth Andiramon bio for more proof.
