What God wants you to have is the most important thing and what makes God happier than anything, for you to show Love to others! Not just people but All living creatures! If you are good to your neighbor but leave your dog or cat out in the freezing cold saying it doesn't matter because it doesn't have a Soul you don't have a Heart and your not coming from a place of Love, your just following a rule book thinking only of getting yourself into heaven.
