- Bob Proctor explains ONE idea that if you turn to habit, will change your world forever. Napoleon Hill wrote an entire chapter on this one idea in his book, 'Think And Grow Rich.' It is such a powerful concept!
Ray Stanford, my first mentor, told me something critical during one of the first conversations we ever had. He said, “You need only one quality to succeed. You must have discipline.”
I didn’t want to have discipline. I thought discipline meant punishment.
But the truth is discipline is the ability to give yourself a command and then follow it.
Well, it didn’t take long for me to figure out that Ray was right. You will never develop anything of any consequence if you are not disciplined. However, if you are disciplined, you can have anything you seriously want.
This is so basic, it’s so simple, yet it’s so misunderstood. People who make it in life, whether that’s becoming really rich, running a successful business or living life on their own terms, have all developed the skill of self-discipline.
However, a common misconception about successful people is that they like doing all the things they do.
That is utterly false.
Successful people dislike the same things you do, but they do them anyway. They get up early. They make sure they’re in front of a prospect every morning at 9:00 a.m. They practice or study while others are watching TV.
Why do they do things they dislike? Because they know that’s the price they have to pay for success. And so they discipline themselves to do the things they know they should do whether they like it or not.
I am a very disciplined person. I don’t care if anybody else is working. I don’t care what anyone else is doing. I know what I’ve got to do, and I get it done.
Of course, I wasn’t always like this. I don’t think anyone is born a naturally disciplined person.
So don’t worry if you currently lack discipline. It’s something you can develop with practice, and the more you practice, the better you’ll become at it.
Here are three things you can do to get started:
1. Realize that if you want something different in life, you’re going to have to do things differently. Then, command yourself to do what you know has to be done.
2. Begin scheduling your day-from the time you get up until the time you go to bed. If you have a schedule, you’re more apt to do more of the things you really need to do to get where you want to go.
3. Hold the image of being successful at what you want to do. Envision a complete shift. And proceed to let that vision unfold every day.
It won’t be easy at first; however, you’ll get stronger and stronger. And then you’ll be able to do what you want, instead of just what you think you can do.

This is so true. 10 years ago i was broke unemployed and living with my parents. I decided i was going to become a doctor (after 10 years of indecision) learn Norwegian and move to Norway. I actually did it. No plan, just a dream/end goal (and lots of support from people) looking back the plan manifests itself as you go in a way no one can guess. I almost studied in south America. Eventually went via Ireland. Lived in the UK for a while. Married an American. Ended up on a small Norwegian island. Dont wast time with the long term planning its impossible. Just go for your dream.

After 20 years 😁 But I can honestly confess and confirm : Whenever I have decided something and made the first step - only the first because I didn't know what to do, where to go - the things started to figure out themselves. It is scary, because you're working with unknown and unseen powers. But they are here.

I understood this video as if I were the one who made it :) I was running long distance races for school sports day and I thought, "oh no, I am going to be so tired. I have to run around this large feild 4 times!" but then I snapped out of my negative state and started to think, "I am just going to keep running on this line until my teacher says stop 😂' I came FIRST and I also never even realised/believed I actually managed to do it without as many problems as I would've had if I was thinking negatively.

I am so happy I watched this video of yours today. I have always been held back by my indecisiveness and negative attitude. It really does my head in. The two best decisions I have made was to leave my ex husband after years of an abusive marriage, followed by divorce, bankruptsy and severe depression which almost destroyed me. It has only been a few months into my new life journey and I am finally getting my life back on track. I am no longer depressed, and for the first time ever I have set a few goals. I am 52. Thank you so much for all your videos. I am very grateful that there are so many motivational videos out there to watch and people who want to help others.

Out of the thousand videos (probably) I've seen on youtube this yr, (I'm studying online that's why) and on my pc and phone, there's only 1 video of him that I downloaded but watched regularly for a week or two. This is so powerful and amazing. We won't get any where sruggling with indecisiveness but once you make a committed decision you get on the right frequency to attain your dreams and goals. There are certain principles operative in the universe that we can tap into like pictureization, reiteration, persistence, positive thinking, make decision making a habit, realize there are opportunities every where every day, et cetera.

This video is incredible and i must of seen it at least 20 times now and watch it once a day, it makes more sense and sticks every time i watch it. I have specific goals and i am super focused on nothing but the goals in mind, i know 10000000% before the end of 2019 i will be exactly where i want to be in regards to my goal and nothing is getting in my way.
Moon landing could well have been faked. Think about it. We can’t even build a normal car with a reliable battery. But in the 60s we could go outside the earth way out land the thing and return.yeah ok.
