The very beautiful 3rd BC UNESCO World Heritage site Sanchi Stupas are located about 46kms from the capital city Bhopal. The complex is believed to have served as a primary educational institute for Ashoka's children- Mahendra and Sanghmitra, who went on to spread the words of peace & harmony from Sanchi. The auspicious occasion of Buddha Purnima marks the birth of Gautam Buddha, enlightenment, and death.
