You know, im greateful for you doing HD versions of these, but there is just something about the original with the distortion from the tape that just adds to the atmosphere the songs are making
Am I alone in thinking this would fit the outer worlds really well? The game is very anti corporation. I couldly see a group of ex military or even spacers choice employees singing it.

I would say it's specifically about Vietnam. The line that dates it is "guns that jam and spray like hell, with stocks made by Mattel" - the M16 battle rifle, introduced in Vietnam, was initially unpopular because a) the first few thousand weren't issued with proper maintenance instructions and tended to break down and b) it had a plastic stock rather than the wooden stock of the M14 (some of which were indeed made by Mattel).

The dumbness was in the entire abrupt transition to plastic stocks at all when what everyone was used to and knew how to maintain and knew to be field-tested was wooden stocks.
