    Best video and demonstration video I’ve seen for this controller. Everyone has complained about key action to heavy but I think you put those arguments to rest with your playing. Very nice!

  • @AlvaroMRocha

    Careful putting 88 heavy hammer keys keyboards on it's side for more than a few days, for it may cause the action to become unevenly stiffer and some inner lubricant to migrate away from the mechanics (you sort of solve by turning it on it's other side) and may take time to revert back to normal (there's one laying on it's side there in the back, hence the remark)...

    • @MosesJoshua
      @MosesJoshua  2 года назад

      Thanks Alvaro, I just learnt a new thing from you man... I already gave out the SL880 lying at the back. It was only there in this position for a couple of days before it went out to the new owner. But this is good to note for future heavy weighted keys so I can place it properly.

  • @undertheradar001
    @undertheradar001 Год назад +8

    The heavy keybed can take some working in. You can change the velocity curve until it works better at normal. As far as I am concerned, when it loosens up, it is one of the best keyboards that work as a piano; if not the best. I have mine paired up with a numa compact 2 which works better for synth action. The quality of the keys in the SL88 is amazing; as I say, just takes a little working in from new.

    The velocity dynamic from softest to loudest is so expressive by what have you demonstrated, even pricier keybeds yamaha p-45 or kawai es 110 are nowhere close to that responsiveness, as a matter of fact they have shitty responsiveness.
    Let me ask you, do you feel the keybed feels good for soft piano playing?

    Hi friend!
    I'd like to buy a Studiologic SL88 Studio, but I'm afraid cause of a my right wrist! Yeah, many time ago I got a tendinitus in my writs and I cant play in keybeds with very heavy action, you know! But I hate the semi weithed keys, I can't feel the pianos, the sound!
    So I saw several videos of this model but I dont have anyone to teste before buy, so I'm afraid !
    I already bought a Nektar Impact LX88+ and i will sell you because of the horrible key action!
    Please, can you tell me what kind o heavy keys the SL88 have? Like any real piano model you already have played?
    If you can help me I will be grateful forever!
    Thanks and God Bless...

    • @MosesJoshua
      @MosesJoshua  2 года назад +3

      If you absolutely need the Real wooden 🪵 Grandpiano feel, then you should get the SL88 grand. But it’s a lot of money, I am not sure if there is any technical function that SL88 grand has they the SL88 studio doesn’t have. Same thing just the Keybed.

      @@MosesJoshua is sl88 studio not grand piano keys ?

    • @MosesJoshua
      @MosesJoshua  2 года назад +1

      @@Jpworshipofficial the SL88 studio is heavy weighted just like you will have in your regular Yamaha 88 keys motif for example, but if you are looking for something that feels like a real Grandpiano that is worth $50,000 and above, then the SL88 grand is what you should look for.
