Unless other's foldables have their software supported as good as samsung and water resistant then samsung's foldables are still top in the market, I dont want a foldables that will broken if there's a bit of dust/water get inside by accident thought the hinge's gaps and through speakers/microphones
@doratien385 Well, I know several people that Folds other than Samsung and have not had any of the issues you just spoke of. The OnePlus has software which is really similar to Samsungs so they are as far off as you think
I've been a fold owner since 2019 and I always say that anyone who's never owned a fold device, knows zelch about foldables. They are mini iPads that are multitasking kings, and they're extremely versatile. They're conversation starters with some of the nicest looking chicks who don't give one chit if you have the fold 1 or the 5, nor do they chicks care about snapdragon specs, camera mega pixels or any mundane gibberish like that. When you pull out a fold, you're pulling out the device people will automatically assume you have money. I've also come to the conclusion that phone reviews are redundant, the comments are pretentious and after spending $4000 on two fold devices, I'm not giving Samsung or any other phone manufacturer another dime for a few years. A fool and his money are soon parted. Hard pass on the 6,7,8 9 and 10 or other product for that matter.....good night nurse
I am actually dumbfounded by the decisions Samsung are making according to all the leaks so far. The newest s10 Ultra tablet will not be featuring the signature snapdragon chipsets due to supposed price concerns, (as an ultra consumer who wants the best of the best price is my least concern) yet the s10+ will feature potentially the Gen 4? What? The Z fold 6 is an embarrassing update considering how poorly received the 5 was. Non of their leaked lineup looks like it has evolved hardware at all. l'm severely disappointed. I could care less about invasive a.i. l'm strongly considering switching to Vivo with their new X Fold 3 pro which is truly a flagship device. Or the Honor Magic v2/v3 its just wild to me.

@tafb94force29 no I think I'm going to hold off until next year unfortunately. Phones like Vivo are amazing and do come in global variants however my main concern would be insurance and phone coverage as those are not guarantees here in the states. If they do release a fully global Vivo X Fold 3 pro I'd buy that in white asap
My biggest concern is the resolution for the screens please at 3.5k atleast to be on par with the other foldable

I've waited an entire year for the Fold 6 as every early rumor stated that the fold 6 is gonna be the biggest change to the Fold series since Fold 2, just for all of it to crash down and turn out as complete false close to its release. If the Fold 6 slim is not a thing, I'll be really upset having to wait another full year for the Fold 7

My wish list before I'd consider the Z Fold.
1. Bigger, actually usable cover screen that supports the S pen
2. Camera as good as that on the S Ultra
3. S pen silo in the device
Without these, it's not worth it.
Maybe get a Chinese foldable I think.
The spine of the fold is the perfect solution for housing the s pen, all that really needs to be done is a bit of imagination and maybe a bit of redesign and it looks like that coyote be an area for the pen to fit, im still rocking the fold 3 and use the cover screen quite a bit for certain tasks for the hate it gets the only way to please those people would if u had a full size display which is not really fesable due to how big the main display solution be

Honestly... I've had the Fold 6 since the 30th of july 2024, and other than missing 100x Zoom, im super happy with it. Especially in Dex mode, although I have to use a unit to keep it cold on intense games, but otherwise... best phone I've had and overall top 3 being beaten by the 24 ultra and flip 6(only because it is a better daily and sustainably cheaper), but this is my daily lol
Well , the problem is for many of us, the narrow front display makes typing very difficult if you have medium to large hands and fingers , also being very narrow just cuts down the general usability of the front display meaning you have to open it up most of the time which is inconvenient and adds extra wear and tear on the bending display.
Samsung could solve the issue of having not enough room for the S pen silo if the device was made wider .
If the device was a little thicker it could have a bigger battery and have room for the better camera sensors.
Yes it would be heavier, but it would be worth it.
The current form factor is a big turn off for the majority of potential foldable buyers.
@mikldude9376 it is the most reliable Foldable on the market from software down to majority of the hardware in every phone you will have to sacrifice something on the foldable market so might as well pick right and stick to the Z series

Was waiting but no more. I'm sick to death of my s24 ultra, so boring as same form factor over and over.
But I'm not paying $3000aud for a fold 6.
The 5 1TB is on sale for $1600.
I'll just get the 5 and sell my s24 ultra.
There is no way slightly smaller front bezels and a squared off edge is worth literally double the price!
I'll go one more year with Samsung because I use my Fold as my daily driver and is a big part of my business. I don't know if the Pixel Fold 2 will be able to handle it with all the multi tasking I do. I think more seriously about switching when the Pixel Fold 3 comes out with that new chip next year, that suppose to be so much more powerful, if Samsung hasn't made these changes in the Fold 7.
Also: you'll never see the S-Pen integrated into the fold or the hinge. With thinning both down, there will be no space for a 3" to 4" pen. It would be so thin, like 3 to 4 mm. It will be hard and uncomfortable to hold for any length of time.

I'm about to blindly upgrade from the standard galaxy S21 to this because of all the mild praise going to this new phone, so this video is going to help slap some sense and consideration into me.
Samsung has only one time ever met customer demand, and that was on the front screen of the Z flip. I’m completely baffled that people keep buying these when Samsung doesn’t give people what they’re asking for. Maybe just a bunch of lemmings?

Can only speak for the US market but the Chinese phones are a non starter here. Apple and Samsung rule. The average general mass consumers don't care about year over year updates or upgrades. That's why Apple and Samsung can bring moderate changes each year with not too many issues

Samsung has turned into Apple. Minimal tweeks. These devices are for new buyers and people with impulse control issues (they buy it just because it's newer).

Bro the phone hasn't even came out yet😅😅 second of all I have the Galaxy Z fold 5 from last year's generation and it is a night and day build quality no issues with the screen no bending issues it's the little touches that make this phone even that much better so I can't imagine what the Z fold 6 going to be
You can imagine what the Z fold 6 will be very easily because we already know every spec and have official images as I said in this video.
I had the Pixel Fold which is a fantastic phone but was waiting to see what Samsung did with the fold 6 and was very disappointed. So last week i sold my Pixel Fold and bought the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro and this phone is AMAZING.
Very thin, light and the perfect size with basically no crease. Im actually blown away with the Vivo. HIGHLY RECOMMEND 😊

One handed typing on the S24 Ultra is not a pleasant experience. It's too wide. Honestly, it annoys me that the "make it wider" crowd always acts like their desire for a wider front screen is a universally shared desire. It is not.
I absolutely love that this x fold 6 is very slim it's very narrow it's not wide at all and then when it open it up it's massive I'd love this phone.
Stupidly narrow front screen is a deal breaker.
Am gonna buy it just because u made a video talking about fold 5. Go play with iphones go tell Tim what do buy.

I have the VIVO X FOLD 3 PRO. I been with Vivo now since they made their first foldable. It's a way better phone to me than the Samsung Z Fold Series. I started out with Samsung and they never did any major upgrades, so that's why I went to the VIVO Foldable series. I've owned the First 4 Samsung Foldables & also the first 4 VIVO Foldables and I'm still with VIVO now
I'm DEFINITELY getting the ZF6 .. the snapdragon chip in my ZF3 is starting to show its age.. especially as A.I. is becoming more apparent on smartphones. Z Folds 1-3 will not be able to keep up.
This is exactly why I won't buy the fold. I need that S-Pen, the new Camera upgrades, and that crease completely gone. 😊. Let's go, Samsung, let's get after it. I really hope there is a redesign for the S25 Ultra.😊
Thank you for this video. The Spen is the only main difference from the other Folds. for example Honor has Stylus Support on all screens(in two years in the making by the way) sicnce the are trying to push Spen features the should have built it in because of the extra funktionality.also they have made the Fold 6 more expensive and because the cases don´t fit, we have to buy anothe case so we can hold the Spen. then teasing us with the Slim/Ultra at the end of the Year is also a bad move. i am a Samsung Fanboy an old Note user but they have been teasing us for many years and keep telling us that they´ve made the best Folding device which is obviously not true. When you see the shares on the Folding Phones market, Samsung had almost 60% but they still dare to release this mid range phone but call it Top range. i must admit that Samsungs Software ist really Top notch but the other brands are catching up too. if i leave Samsung i´ll be leaving completlely and have to get used to other UIs but they too have an eco system. if other fans of samsung think like tais as well then the Fold 6 will really hurt Samsung and i mean for almst every Secktor
Thank you Jeff Springer for being brave enough to release this video. everyone else is trying to tell us that the 2mm increase in size is a huge improvement that the sharp corners make it look good bu t i think will be uncomfortable to use., and all the other BSthat shows that Samsung have made minimal Effort on this Phone but charge more for it

I really disappointed on the lack of an S-Pen. With a 2nd screen that is basically a mini tablet it literally doesnt make any sense to not have that as part if the phone.

The only reason Samsung continues this bs is the carriers are allowing monthly payment plans on their devices. Otherwise, there is no way Samsung would be able to compete with the global releases of Honor, Xiaomi, or Vivo.

It depends how happy you are with the cover display width if you want a wider cover display then yes. Otherwise the cameras and other features aren't really changing much

It is not appropriate to speculate on the contents of a device before it is released. Any device that folds will have some sort of crease, and it is important to be realistic about this.
Lol...it is absolutely appropriate when we have precise verified images and specs sheets from the FCC
@jspring86, to be transparent, those specification sheets are not always entirely accurate. If they disclosed every detail, it would undermine their purpose. They intentionally omit certain information to create an element of surprise for the consumer.
Vivo x 100 fold .... far better than this .... by all means
Not really a useful option for me or anyone in the US. Not officially supported 5G bands, no warranty, etc. Sadly
