@@jorgen512 G3 is a incredible pew'er and insane value at its level of quality and accuracy... Smooth, stable and better than a jab requiring manufacturer like G lock after requiring that of their employees they lost my $ forever.
Great test of the TH. I never really forgave the Chowderpellet for eclipsing the mighty 10 in the 90’s, but if the design handles .40 well, it’ll run just as well with the 9mm.
A taurus revolver(605) is the only gun I ever got rid of it kept having issues with the cylinder locking up because of the ejector rod coming unscrewed during firing. I did give the predecessor to the g2c( pt111 millennium g2) a try and have had zero problems with it but I don't have alot of faith in there other offerings
Only lead free rounds I shoot is solid copper and solid brass. Usually Lehigh or Barnes. Though I prefer the former over the latter, especially for defense.
That ammo looks no bueno to me, but you never know until you try it out, right. I agree that a sight coming loose is not a reflection of the quality of the gun, especially an aftermarket sight. I am just not into da/sa, decocker, hammer guns. I prefer single action or striker, but enjoy looking at different guns and seeing how they perform whether or not it is something I would pick up for myself. Thanks for taking us to the range today.
Thank you for checking out the video. For some reason some music company claimed the video so I'm in the middle of a copyright claim dispute. Apparently the Cadence of my gunfire sounds like one of their songs
Top of the morning Joe. Other than the broken rounds and the squib, the TH40 looks pretty decent. Definitely would be a home defense gun, somewhere you place around the house in a hidden compartment or something or a range piece. Before you had done it, I was instantly thinking some blue loctite on the rear site. After shooting 300+ rounds through my commander 1911 I had the same issue with my rear site. It's a Novak style rear sight. Threw on some blue loctite, recentered it and haven't had a problem since. Now the rounds you were shooting, my question is would those still be considered frangibles? A buddy of mine shoots frangibles regularly and I haven't heard him say anything in regards to rounds breaking off during feeding. At the same time, You do have lead free rounds, so I'm going to safely assume they're not. As for the DWX, that looks like it was a shitload of fun just to shoot. Never mind looks. The recoil was very minimal. Given it's an all metal gun with some weight to it, full dust cover, it looked very pleasant to shoot. Great video again. As always keep the content coming Joe. Definitely look forward to seeing more range videos. I'll definitely have to check out Middletown firearms to see what I could find there. Illinois stupid ass gun ban has restricted a lot of things I was looking forward to doing in the future as far as starting my own RUclips channel. Hopefully with the pending litigation it'll get struck down and I can finish my two custom AR builds. 458 socom and 762x39. Once I'm done with my builds with the two lowers I'll be able to shoot 223, 556, 762x39, 300 blackout, 450 Bushmaster, 458 socom and 50 Beowulf.
Thank you for the well thought out response. I hope that you guys get all those stupid Laws repealed so that we can have a wonderful 2A community in every state. They are not considered frangibles because it looks like there's an aluminum coating over the compressed powder. But it's super thin. I noticed that there is more residue on the target than a standard round, which I think means it's holding together until it completely disintegrates during the last part of the impact. My guy Jim said he wouldn't shoot them like frangibles
@@TheJimminiShow I absolutely do hope the law gets repealed and shut down. There's already a few in place that have already hindered the law. There are some restraining orders from a few counties and the judge did expand it statewide. Was far as the .40 round, you know that makes more sense. Yeah, you probably did just have a couple of bad ones where the coating was too thin to hold together. Again great video great shooting.👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
I'd rather have a .40 than a 9mm. There's no replacement for displacement. Not that there's anything wrong with 9mm, I carry that too sometimes. But I like big boolits.
I started looking at the TH9c a couple weeks before you showed this one, really interested in it to the point I want to get my hnds on one before my next gun purchase. to you point about Ho-Point, I viewed Grand Power in that same light, until I learned Grand Power makes (at least used to) their guns full ambi.
It's not the gun in it's original format and why would you shot lead free rounds lol I just brought my first gun last week and the ammo I chose was Hornady critical defense and that was just to test and another lead ball ammo ijs after you changed the sights this challenge should have been aborted just being real tho
That was ammo related, not gun related. Dont jump to conclusions. If you put bad gas in your car, does that make it a bad car? No. Think before you try to be smart. You just look dumb.
I viewed this yesterday and I am still annoyed! Ya know, it is OK to check out a gun BEFORE you take up our time going to the range with a defective gun, no tools, and bad ammo. You OUGHT to make sure that you are NOT GOING TO WASTE OUR TIME!.............................elsullo
I personally think that TH9 /40 is the best semi auto Taurus makes. Being USP fanboy I think the TH40 looks like a clone of the USP
Thoughts on G3?

I'm always tempted to pick up a TH9 because its so cheap.
Thanks for the range review and extended testing!
No problem. I will see if the sight stay put this weekend, or if i need a diff one
I own one and it has been nothing but reliable. My sights stay where they are supposed to. Runs fmjs and hps just fine.
Only downside, is 17rd mags are nowhere to be found anymore 😢

there is a piece from I believe dove that has a RDO plate the fits into the dove tail rear you may want to check it out

If you can't get it done with a 9 you can't get it done with a 40 that's just fact!
WTF is going on here, where's the sofa?
Lol. Wendsday is range day on the channel...you'll get used to it
have you tried it since you fixed the sights? do they work well now?
I want to try the Dan Wesson so bad, a 1911 and CZ had a baby!
Thanks for gr8 vid😢n good information on the TH 40.
Does the Taurus TH 40 have a supported barrel for the load?
How many rounds through the Taurus 40,any and problems?
This is the 3rd review I’ve seen of the Taurus th40 or th9 and the sights have fallen off. I was thinking about getting one but now idk. 😂😂😂
Well, the gun ran fine. It was the aftermarket sight that fell off.
@@TheJimminiShow yeah but that shouldn’t happen after 100 rounds and your not the only person this has happened too.
The Rhino is fantastic
These are excellent tools 👍
Where did you get a holster for the th40?
What kind of holster do you have for the th40
looks better than the g3
My daily carry is a glock 22 gen3. Carr

I have no clue. It was a spare parts bin special at the store. I think it was for a beretta
what year is this
The lesson I learned was to not bedazzle your gun lol I'm sorry bro it's in love
Make me laugh, funny man. 😂
