    I worked at a restaurant in Towne Square. I closed the resturant the night before it "closed." You would think they would've told me that it was it's last night of being open but I didn't know until I came in the next day dressed and ready to work that they were permanently closed. Why the heck would you not tell the person who closed the restaurant that you weren't reopening ever again??

      Unemployment delay ~ today everyone is drinking the kool aid everything is doing better than expected? No it’s not the high cost of living isn’t because people were trying to be fake rich they lost their jobs and everything is overpriced flat lined wages can’t keep up with everyone raising prices. They love saying it’s because people are going broke to impress others, nope the fact is rents homes cars insurance groceries clothes electric bill natural gas and every house hold item is outrageously overpriced ~ the basics are costing you 1000, plus every month that’s not counting all necessities. People bought vehicles that normally would be 300~450 monthly note before insurance that cost them an extra 180 for a total of 630 dollars. Today those same vehicles are 750~900 dollars before insurance note added which also skyrocketed 300~400 monthly depending of record that’s 1000, plus to 1.200 without gasoline and maintenance. Even the wealthy saw a big jump in every day cost ~ let’s be real nobody is going to go around burning money whether they have it especially if you’re just making it by.

      Some restaurants close w/o telling employees because of theft problems. They’re afraid employees will make off with supplies and products if they knew

      Something similar happened to an ex of mine, in that particular case, the company was (allegedly) afraid if the employees knew before hand they would start looking for other work and possibly quit before they were permanently closed is the story I got. In other words, in situations like yours, the companies are always looking out for THEIR best interests, not the employees.

    Just the beginning. Delusional people about Vegas and the economy. Every fking thing has gotten so expensive and this city is on a collection course with a major recession

    • @anthonymartinez4307

      Exactly it’s like these people don’t see what’s happening. They believe the bs Biden & his team go around telling people, it’s all lies ( the economy is doing better than expected bullshit) all major cities are broke and Las Vegas is no different. They can front all they want but realistically Bidenomics destroyed our country. He is now trying to bring in more refugees from Gaza as if we told those people to start a war against Israel? The reason why is because cities borrow money for everything with hopes of revenue but act as if said projects don’t come with massive maintenance. The train for example is borrowed tax payer money how in the fk will they get revenue if such projects come with massive costs of maintaining? The only thing the bullet train will do is bring in homeless people.

    That is a tough area. Many restaurants have tried and the only one that seems to be flourishing is PublicUS. Oh, the liquor store across the street is hanging on, their sandwiches aren't bad, they sell cheap booze and other items.

    many people open restaurants in some high end, middle class, changing or known rough areas of las vegas, sometimes spending their entire savings "betting" that their restaurants won't flop, without doing the due diligence regarding the address, how many similar businesses have come and gone? robberies? patterns of failures and repossessions? nope, they become just another of the many failed and bankrupt restaurants that come and go in las vegas, this place peyotes was opened in a unstable part of town that used to flourish, my motto to anyone planning on starting a business in las vegas, las vegas is a hard gig to succeed at, there's a multitude of other factors that also play a big part of some successful business failing, like business partners that spend the income generated by gaming it all away, organized fraud, divorce, non compliance with city, county and state health dept. illegal activities, corporate espionage, poor management, etc.

    I'm always surprised by news stories of business closures and of them expressing how unfortunate it is for many employees to be out of work. The fact of the matter is, sometimes crap happens, and a business owner cannot always absorb the costs to relocate all employees once the bottom falls out. From what I hear though, some employees within this business will be re-located and that's OK. But rarely do all employees get relocated or rehired... keeping in mind, if the market demand, revenue & profits were there, then maybe there wouldn't have been a closure for this one restaurant, and if business for other locations are not doing as well either, then it will be harder to relocate all former employees. Not entirely sure what the failure was; poor operational management, a not-so-well-designed branding concept & offering, poor food &-or service, brough in the wrong type of customers; too niche or clique (wrong vibe: maybe a sense of safety or lack of security), or whatever, something failed.

    There is no such thing as "craft cocktails". It's just cheap booze and soda pop or whatever. They pretend it's fancy and charge 20 dollars. No drink is worth more than $ 2.99 ..Also: If a restaurant closes down , All the employees are laid off , NOT "some employees laid off" (?)

    • @anthonymartinez4307
      @anthonymartinez4307 4 месяца назад

      2.99 ~ no wonder they went broke. It’s not 2,99 for the electric bill or the natural gas bill. People the high cost of living is going to make its presence felt. Every major city is broke and you are no different.

      Are you serious? There’s empty buildings across the nation and every major city is broke. Do you think this won’t happen in Las Vegas? Stop drinking Biden’s poison kool aid. Half of your regular visitors will not be able to to visit and the ones that do are wasting more money but not because they are big spenders it’s because everything cost more. That doesn’t mean there’s more profits lol it means it’s paying already inflated prices people were already complaining pre Covid how Vegas was getting over expensive let alone when Bidenomics stepped into office the first thing he did was raise gas and all our products went up ~ then the idiot got us into 3, wars and letting all the terrorist come in like refugees. Of course he was going to lie and say everything is great!

Or some drink cost 20 bucks that would normally cost 10 dllrs. Or beer cost 10 or 15 dllrs. And Just imagine the Rent. Or it double than triple when original agreement expire.
