It works great for gameplay, of course, but it also goes a long way to dehumanize and conglomerate them into an unidentifiable force of galactic power; with a hundred frozen Divers aboard every super destroyer to replace the ones KIA
humanity is like a passive hivemind species, when we're not in any dire threat we mainly break into smaller factions and fight one another, but when something comes along and threatens humanity as a whole we all link up and unite into a force greater than anything that yet to be seen. i hope we maintain this brotherly connection between us when we eventually make our way to other worlds
I haven't sunk so many hours in a game since Halo Reach. Titanfall 2 got close and I do love it but HD2 filled that vacant Bungie Halo hole in my heart perfectly. Plus, I was getting tired of always PvP.
I wish they add a battlefield like experience with the Automatons and the SEAF Army going at it, while the Helldivers deploy to assist in the massive battle.
I can already imagine that with a “crippled status” mechanic along with a “trade weapons/ammunition” option on the ground for the game. Fireteam is down; 1 has no legs, other 3 are out of ammunition and the horde is about to arrive, then all nod in unison for throwing a MAYDAY. “Crippled status” has a 50% chance to call in at least 24 allied players in the surrounding area. Only accessible if a boss monster is nearby and average fireteam health is below 15%. Just as the horde approaches, the boss monster roaring in the background, and all is for naught, the cavalry arrives. Boots hitting the ground as the troops lay down their suppressive fire and pure chaos ensues, hitting peak adrenaline for all players involved. Though, I don’t know if it would be better to add a Titan class monster than a Boss monster, I think there should be an achievement for “crippled status” players to survive a dive and return alive, receiving mechanical limbs with better performance plus the obvious drawbacks. This is from a guy who hasn’t bought nor played the game, but the theme song is just undeniably heart pumping. Take my like!

Helldivers are sent in as strike troops for missions behind enemy lines. I really hope that, if the game keeps growing, we get occasional massive raids where Super Earth decides to deploy a dozen helldivers to hold a line. Nothing like fanatical zealots willing to lay down their lives for the cause when you need to hold the line.
Honestly that gunship from transformers scene would actually make a pretty sweet stratagem. Just circles and bombards/unloads until empty then flies away to land and rearm.
If you like fighting the bugs starship troopers extermination is another mmo fps. It puts you in the feild and you can fight together. And some missions if you fail the objective it becomes a real effort to evacuate the place. Down to the point folks will stay trying to cover your escape. To the point I am willing to stay behind if someone else is out there alive. Here is hoping they have an extension for those still alive but couldn’t make the first evac. Probably a five minute survival mission. And they crank the difficulty to hurt me more. Just swarms of bugs and the ammo you have. Survive the five minutes and the run to the bus and you get to go home.

Bro me and my friend extracted with a freaking army of terminids on our butts, we were out of reinforcements and we survived for 3 minutes off of one new reinforcement and the indomitable human spirit
My most cinematic extraction went like this: We are out of time, 2 minutes for pelican to arrive. 1 out of 4 people dead. Extraction point is inside the enemy base so me and a random are sneaking in to be as close as possible. We wait until 30 seconds are left. There are explosions nearby so we both turn around. There is 3rd guy running like Jacks Sparrow towards us, while being chased by a horde of enemies. I say feck it and start clearing out extraction point. Both remaining players die to a flamethrower hulk that is now approaching me, pelican is about to land. I jump evading the flames and run quickly towards the pelican and somehow menages to escape with almost all our samples...
Now how cool would it be to be given a gunship that hovers around and rains democracy over an area, ik we have eagle 1 but this should be something similar to the ac130
