Unfortunately yes. Raincoast Conservation Foundation has been one of the groups voicing their opposition to it. This will further reduce not only juvenile salmon rearing habitat, but also critical spawning habitat of some species which juvenile salmon prey on.
Talk about giving back! Great episode. We all can do a part to help wildlife habitat. Picking up a little trash left behind by another is a cool way to help. Thanks Rod.
I appreciate all your hard work. But I have to ask, If DFO was serious about saving fraser salmon, would they have approved the Roberts Bank expansion with "population level" impacts?
great video! anything that builds awareness is what we need. i encourage everyone to seek out and join their local hatchery or streamkeepers group. the age of volunteers at these organizations is getting older and older. we need more young blood injected into this effort for future generations of salmon.
The port of Vancouver is expanding as you post this
