I agree, but you have to take that he would have only 5 hours to make a blade of which only 3 are for forging.

I don't know where they get reality show contestants but I've seen a lot of fail. The hardest thing would be time management but many contestants on that show don't know jack about metallurgy. They just have generalizations and partial ideas. I've seen this man's website and he's definitely the real deal. Not just a craftsman but also well educated on the science. I don't think we'd see his greatest works of art if he were to compete but I have no doubt that he'd win because he wouldn't be held up by mistakes.

If he's got skill(and he does) they probably would have him on. The clock crunch and curve balls tend to level the playing field. Under those conditions anyone could have a disaster. Contestants are selected after applying. He should. Alec Steel too, that would be fun

I just can't understand how you can lengthen, bend, twist, cut, weld, and shape the starting block of metal with the intricate folded sheet, and then all those steps later still see the pattern repeated all throughout the blade. Truly spectacular and mind-blowing!
I've watched a lot of these kind of videos, but I think that might be the coolest looking blade I've seen so far.

Thing is if you flick that fast your skin barely has time to feel it. It doesn’t hurt nor does it damage the skin, as it would need to be in contact for longer than that. This wouldn’t hurt you or me either.

Watching a video like this is so incredible and in a way inspiring. Seeing what people are capable of making out of their passion with experience and dedication. I hope to someday attempt to make one of these with the help of a blacksmith, it would be a great experience.

Its not that big of a deal if the contact with material is short. I have done it several times in need. When you do that manny times over well body simple get used to it. Rest is that you accept that's not a horrible thing to do and deal with a little pain. I am not a blacksmith but I have a dream. Also his work is a masterpiece big like.
My great Uncle worked in a copper plant in the 30s. He used to push softened copper into a mould by hand all day. his hands were covered in burn proof callouses. Human adaptation can be amazing.

все просто ребята ,каждый мастер ,каждый бережёт свои секреты, потому вам и не понятно как бы показал ,рекламу дал, интригу создал и всё , цену потом до потолка
поставил и все просто ,а то начнут все такое делать и всё уже не получиться за такой нож 20.000 долларов взять
