John Malkovich’s accent seems halfway to Werner Herzog.
This is such an accurate description I am laughing so hard
Yes, with a bit of Lorne Michaels thrown in there
He's lived in Europe for years.
I love the fact that John Malkovich answers all the "googled" question in such dept and honesty. Legend.
-the fact-
Do you also preface when you’re going to tell a lie?
Quite possibly the last person I expected in one of these videos. He brought an elder statesman energy that made it very refreshing and unique.
You mean boring?
Man’s just being himself in this interview. He’s being John Malkovich
That's a comment and a half!
That's the film I came to see here. And it wasn't mentioned 😢
Just like that movie: Jaws.
Malkovich, Malkovich, Malkovich.
That's hilarious, there actually a real movie called "Being John Malkovich" too!!!
Sorry, brother, but your most quoted line is, “Make a move and the bunny gets it.”
Cyrus the Virus is incredibly quotable, he went all out in that film. And yes, I said film. Con Air is a masterpiece, and you cannot convince me otherwise.
I know him most as King "I suffer without my stone" Galbatorix.
@@hylianarmy0 Who’s that dude?
@@kronabus199a okay john egbert homestuck!
I woul have thought it would be "Welcome to Con-Air"
He's so relaxed.
It's like he's just being John Malkovich.
Ba - Dum - Bum - Ching? 😂😂
Is it weird that apparently nobody ever googles that movie?
@@GzeeboSince all of the things they've added to the list, begin with the beginning of his name first, it'd make sense why they didn't add, "Being John Malkovich" Unless many many people searched up,
"Is John Malkovich being John Malkovich?" Which honestly, is pretty funny but-
If just searching up the movie, it wouldn't be a common thing for people to search up- It'd be a tad bit strange, no? ALSO, these are all questions- The movie itself, the title, is a statement- Not a question :p
He might be tired of discussing that performance is all I can guess.
Why make a joke if you can’t be original?
Because of “Being John Malkovich,” I didn’t think he was a real person until I was about 18. So thank you for more proof he is real, I do worry sometimes.
😅👌
"Johnny Cusack" and "David Chapelle" really got me for some reason lol
It’s cool to have guys like this who are never disappointingly normal in any context.
This man is 70 years old and has a way better memory than i do at almost 40.
Extremely intelligent man. And a fantastic actor.
No questions about the movie "Beeing John Malkovic"? I'm dissapointed in you, internet 🙁
You’re on the internet so this is all on you.
Miscast in Dangerous Liaisons? Absolutely not; he was BRILLIANT in it, and it's been my favorite film since I saw it in theaters when I was 17. I sat in my seat as the credits began, riveted and stunned. Every moment, every word, every image in that film is stupendous. I was the only high school kid with a Dangerous Liaisons movie poster on my wall, among posters for punk and goth bands.
I've seen it countless times and it never gets old. I think the casting could not have been better.
His role as Ozzie in Burn After Reading is one of the best
"You are part of a league of morons."
Malkovich, Malkovich, Malkovich, Malkovich, Malkovich, Malkovich
MALKOVICH!!!
Malković
I absolutely love and admire John Malkovich. He seems to be so well-spoken, intelligent, and genuinely nice yet he’s perfect in psycho roles like in Con Air and In the Line of Fire. I saw the SNL skit with Bill Hader and it is HILARIOUS!
His memory is amazing. I think sometimes we, the present people, don't think about how there will be future people who will say things like "oh how interesting it would have been to be alive at the same time as (such a person as John Malkovich)" and here we are alive with people like this, sometimes missing the gravitas of their mark on history.
Some of us do think about it and come to inevitable conclusion that people of other professions and achievements leave mark on history not actors and entertainers no matter how good thet are. Stop idolizing performers and celebrities. He made some good movies but none of this changes anything globally/historically or even in the cinema industry.
@@yevgeniyaleshchenko849 bite me.
@@yevgeniyaleshchenko849 says the person who clearly watched the video, too.
A very good friend of John's was Julian Sands, RIP. 😢
He was in a bunch of good movies
And plays. I was surprised he didn't mention being in Burn This, on Broadway in 1987...
I have never watched one of these all the way through but he is so captivating. The last question that wasn't even on the board? Chefs kiss perfection
I love how he is completely unphased by anything.
Lol right😅
Masterful actor, and always such a commanding, relaxed presence in interviews. And 9:22 that sign-off and mischievous smile at the end. Perfection.
He has a calming aura about him that makes you get drawn in whenever he speaks.
I'm always quoting RED... "I'm getting the pig"
Freakin memory on THIS GUY
He is a very distinctive actor, no one can deny that.
I absolutely treasure this man
This was even more pleasant to listen to than I was prepared for. Wow.
Malkovich, America's gift to the world.
Misscast in Dangerous liasons?! He's perfect in that. What an actor.
he's surprisingly great at this. clearer more straightforward answers than most other stars have given in the same format.
I watched Of Mice and Men last week starring John and Gary Sinese. His acting skills are phenomenal! Now I need to rewatch Con Air, LOL!
John malkovich is a very charismatic actor-can do anything/anyone and can be very funny! See Secretariat, RED, and Johnny English. Great parts for him.
such a sympathic man, one of my favourite actors
But now we need a sequel of this but through his eyes.
Because of RUclips, I cannot watch John Malkovich without thinking of Aisling Bea cracking him up! 👍for both😆
He was awesome in The Man In The Iron mask ❤️ he seems like a very chill person 👍 great interview 😊
Awesome actor. I just watched In the Line of Fire a few nights ago for the first time.
My favorite actor ever ❤
I am getting the pig! Is the best quote haha, I love this man ❤
I wish he talked about his time at Steppenwolf Theatre in Chicago. I saw him years ago in Lost Land and he gave a great performance.
He is an awesome man. Love to have him as a neighbor.
One of John's best performances was Places in the Heart with Sally Field. He does and amazing job playing a blind man in the great depression.
John Malkovich speaks in cursive
This man is the bomb I remember watching RED featuring him and Bruce Willis a million Times I'm now gonna watch it after this 😂 go Malkovich you were the bomb as the crazy guy in that. I always see you as someone who stars beside freeman and Willis ❤
Hmm, it would be interesting for John Malkovich and Christopher Walken to have a casual dialogue heavy conversation in a Tarantino style scene.
Around my house, "Eff Microsoft!!" is the JM quote that comes up the most ... by far. Even when the thing we wish to curse at is not MS.
I'm a bit suprised he never played a Bond villain... I mean, just LOOK at him!
My fav movie with him in it is 'RED'
Love seeing the famous "southern Illinois" accent on full display in this interview!
John Malkovich is a good, kind, man. I hope everyone has a good day :)
John Malkovich is so Malkovich, is so funny. You can tell every word he says is thoughful.
Malkovich ... Malkovich malkovich??? Malkovich !!!
Wow John has a great memory
Thank you wired this is exaclty what i needed.
I actually love this actor my favorite movie was Con Air
Sirus The Virus
@@Brissles great character right lok
Never disappoint John Malkovich. He will remember everything.
I wish his boards were like the ones that had questions instead of just his name & 1 or 2 words
One of my favorites movies is "Dangerous Liaisons" ❤ he is a legend
Hardly anyone bringing up him in Johnny English, he was great in that 😂
One of the best ever! ❤
I think he did my favorite performance in a Speilberg movie (empire of the sun)
my fave role of his is a Basey the dodgy american racketeer in EMPIRE OF THE SUN. " HEY KID DO YOU WANT A HERSHEY BAR"
I'm sorry to see that he's lost some of the Malkovich in his speech as he gotten older. 😞
He's struggling with some words
Combination of age and various accents rubbing off on him during his time living in Europe.
possibly had a stroke
John has a crazy unique idiolect.
I liked John in Of Mice and Men!
Teddy KGB... Great character
Hi John I've met you n got my picture taken with you n signed even lol I have it in a frame. I live in Benton n worked with all your family Miss Becky😢. Pic was taken at BEN where we all worked at one time or another. Loved it. Nice to see you love your style John. ♥️
Used to live in the same neighborhood as him in Cambridge, MA. Once when I was taking my puppy for a walk I ran into him and he remarked about what a great dog I had.
A gentleman and a scholar
ouuu
nothing makes me sadder
than the agent lost his bladder
in the... aaaairplane
Can't believe Pascal Sauvage never came up
Likely the next Walken/Herzog manner-meme, although JM's manners are somewhat seasonal and there are many flavors to him.
His Snl christmas skit was so funny😂😂😂😂
In both this interview and his most memorable roles interview, his movie Red does not come up which I think is a shame, it was a very entertaining role.
John Malkovich the SNL driftwood artist, funniest skit ever
I did not appreciate him enough I'm HHGttG but absolutely LOVED him in Space Force ❤
No mention of Eleni. Fantastic acting.
A fantastic actor and definitely a living legend. Every time I see that he is in a movie, I get interested.
My favorite is probably Being John Malkovich, and I also like the Man in the Iron Mask where he plays Athos.
Maybe stop idolizing actors and treating them as "legends".
@@yevgeniyaleshchenko849 No.
I was on the same plane as him one time flying to Fort Lauderdale.
good stuff
John malkovich seems like a friendly grandfather. Stark contrast to his movies.
That's why it's called acting🤷 and I think he played other types of roles as well.
Johnny English!!
Having a fuzzy memory of that line of Valmont's being used in a trance song...
what's the name of the song
I'm at the point where his intro sounds to me like someone is doing an impression of him😂
John Malevich is really cool
*screaming* I love John Malkovich ❤❤❤!!!
No way! Here’s my favorite quote:
“There’s the truth, and there are lies, and art always tells the truth even when it’s lying.”- Being John Malkovich.
Or famous quote ' MAKE A MOVE OR THE BUNNY GETS IT!'
I swear If they get Francisco Lachowski to do the interview, i'm losing it
God bless you! My actor ❤ fantástic! Loved. 🥰💖💖💖🇧🇷
Losing hair is "not ideal for an actor". Says one of the most revered actors alive. 😆
He can say anything and it is captivating. "David Chappelle, believe it or not"
Hey Google: Malkovich Malkovich Malkovich. Malkovich Malkovich Malkovich Malkovich Malkovich. 🎵Malkovich Malkovich 🎵
Been a huge fan ever since "In the Line of Fire". The "Red" movies are just remote droppers and I watch them every time they're on.
How tf did nobody ask about Being John Malkovich, Shadow of the Vampire, Johnny English or The Man in the Iron Mask?
Here's some trivia you may not be aware of. The first Beatles songs performed live in the US were performed in John's hometown by George Harrison.
Classic example of a very weird man that we all love as an actor
The only person who comes close to actually having Moira Rose’s accent
The old Hollywood accent
Then I fell onto the Jersey Turnpike
