This is my question. I can't believe I watched a video about avoiding customs fees when it's about $50 and under.
You can chose the option to buy in multiple shipments $50usd/less or in bulk and pay a flat percentage depending on the shipping company you use; usually 30% of what you would’ve spent ..

So if you place 3 separate orders and the company decides to put them all in one box. Is customs supposed to calculate the total of the 3 orders in the box together n charge u fees based on that ? Or should they treat the box as the three separate orders that they are?
It should be separate only way they will is if the company you purchase from combines all 3

Just have them get the barrel and you ship the items to their address; they’d basically pack it for you

Hey I’ve never from my experience shipping so I’m unable to share any view on it..
I've ordered on shein so many times and alot of times my items go over $50 smts even up to $53 and i have never gotten charged from customs
Likewise; that doesn’t mean you should always do cause you never know when they’ll charge you custom duties
I have been charge $3800 by customs . Plus an additional cost for the weight my package. The package was valued $58.38 and weighs 4.1 lbs.

Well, if that were the case, no one would have a problem paying. To be honest, the customs fees and duties are downright outrageous. I bought an item for US$80 and had to pay J$27,000 to receive the item, with customs charges representing more than half. I paid 11k to the shipping company and 16k to customs. They charge customs duty, customs fees, and GCT. I have shipped items from China to the US and it arrived at my door and did not cost a cent more than the purchase price. I don't think the majority of people have a problem paying taxes. However, when you look at my situation I paid more to customs who was less instrumental in the process. There is no way fees and taxes should surpass the cost of the item. They are no different than the criminal elements that plague the streets.
