Nah don't use fixed, it's really not crucial at all for the experience and as you said it's much better production.
Also, the guy isn't playing on a computer from 2001 and the resolution of fixed was made for computers back then to be a decent size, on modern computers its much smaller (Unless they fixed it and I wasn't aware)
So no, don't use fixed.

@@J1mmy u can make the dye part easier just clicking use on maggie. then mash 1 and space. its how i made some cash early on making yellow dyes.
also sad u didnt use silverlight on count draynor it deals heaps of damage as its made of silver. and spoiler vampires cant stand silver.

I love these little jagex dialogues. One of my favorite things to do in RPGs is just grab everything beforehand and just talk to the NPC handing it over as they ask for it.
Very few games comment on it, but the ones that do hold a special place for me. Another that does this is fallout NV, where you can do quests before they ask you. Its great.

First off, amazing, the production quality is always through the roof, keep explaining the premise of each quest, as someone with a quest cape I don't even know the lore behind everything and I find this really fascinating. Keep it in resizable I think it adds to the emersion with the camera work. Can't wait for the next one! 16:45 hype song

I remember being completely new to the game; and when I foundout you could make gold by putting banana's in the crate I thought I found the best money maker.
I spent 4 weeks farming the banana's on Karamja to afford full rune. No regrets.
lmao, my first self taught money making method before GE was released was camping at al kahrid bank using all my gp buying iron ores and coal from miners then smelting them at the furnace nearby, bank then run over to East Varock bank (busiest trading center at the time) and sell em for triple the price I bought the ores for. I only had 50k in coins at most and was able to turn that into 500k within a week during spring break which was huge back then especially for a level 50 3 month old first account that hasn't even done dragon slayer (too pussy to attempt) and cant wear rune pl8 yet

It’s funny cuz i remember spending a whole weekend on that Ernst the chicken part. I hade no idea there were guides. And soon I’m a finished engineer. I actually have a coding exam in a couple of hours but here I am watching you. No regrets.
quests are basically episodes in the player's life. quests have a scenario and a set of objectives. i think its the cloest thing rs has to a level select system. they are technically optional but many new quests now have exclusive locations tucked behind them, meaning you can't explore the whole world without doing any quests. if you want to collect all the music for your sound player, then you have to do nearly every quest too.which is actually my goal rn. i think quests are basically you as the player fixing every problem that happens across gielnor. making the world a better place one step at a time. (except regicide) you are basically a superhero fighting crime and helping out ppl in need.

Holy crap. I remember spending like two hours on the underground area solving the door puzzle as a kid. It was days and days of going to school to talk to my friends about what we did to get to certain steps in the quest. Which meant this quest took me like a week to finish because I would get stuck and go to school to talk to my friends about it. I was the one who solved the door puzzle first so that was nice. I even took the time to write down a little map and numbers of what levers to hit and in what order so my friends could copy it down to solve it. So many good memories from that time.

This is By Release, not "Lost in 2001". You're not restricted by 2001 content, just doing it in order. I say do whatever you need to do as long as you keep doing stuff in order of release

I find your lack of appreciation for good quest content disturbing. The Ernest the Chicken quest is honestly very well designed, especially for MMOs at the time. It wasn't a fetch quest, a kill quest, it wasn't just running around across a map talking to NPCs. You're just exploring a creepy mansion with lots of great puzzles and mysteries. I mean the basement lever puzzle is great. They could have just had a secret lever hidden somewhere you pull, but they put in the time to design a complex, logical puzzle.
And you just call it a 'Shit show'.

Hey, what are your graphical settings set at on Runelite?
Looks like has has GPU enabled with the draw distance likely maxed out at 90. He's also using the skybox plugin

@@Mike09legacy I'm guessing he has a gaming PC so likely has it set to 8x. If you have any recent gaming GPU you can likely use 8x without any issue. If you have a weak PC I suggest using 2x as even just using that is a massive improvement to the image quality over having it off. If you get bad performance then just it off.
As for fog depth while I can't tell you what he has exactly I suggest you set yours somewhere between 10-15 as a base and tweak it to your liking from there.

Michael I’m guessing you’re playing on a 1080p monitor so you should be able to do 8x. For reference a gtx 970 is more or less twice as powerful as a PS4 and can run games like Witcher 3 at 1080p 60 frames per second.
Now while in theory you should be able to run 8x without issue it is possibly it could be optimized poorly as it isn’t official GPU support. If that’s the case then go with 4x. Image quality isn’t that different than 8x and requires dramatically less GPU power than 8x.
Fog depth shouldn’t effect performance so just set it to whatever is most aesthetically pleasing to you. I like having mine set between 10-15 to make the world transition into nothing more seamless
Edit: if you’re using chrome/RUclips the GPU will decode the video. You should have zero problems watching videos while playing runescape at 4x and probably won’t with 8x either :) The CPU will likely be handling your other tabs so even if your GPU is being stressed i doubt those will be effected. In fact since the cpu is no longer handling runescape your other tasks should be more stable now since it no longer has to render runescape
