@@fatshibaballs I got plenty of plastic pentel 205 mechanical pencils, that are from the 70s and 80s that are still good as new and have been beat up and used almost daily.
I like my rotrings too but if you drop a 600 on anything but carpet or grass they are so heavy that it tends to break the lead sleeve. Got an 800 with retractable tip but don't use it because the slight lead wobble.
I don't mind spending money on quality but a 3$ plastic pentel will outlive you if you halfway take care of it.
Also, a lot of people that build one off custom pencils use the pentel 205 internals for a reason.

@@wyrdo1501 3 dollars in the 70's equals a 12-15 dollar pencil today. it better last you especially because tools made back then were made to last rather than planned obsolescence. you can blame late stage capitalism for that.
If you're arguing less parts means less failures, i completely agree. a pentel can be thrown around. a rotring isnt meant to be abused.
I have used pentels in school and college as well. as I am younger, those pencils all had flaws made on purpose so you buy more.
i am aware the 600 isnt as sturdy as a cheap plastic pencil you wouldn't care about. that's why i have never dropped my 600 or 800, because it's worth more i am more careful with it. they are tools for completely different people.

I’ve tried metal Rotring, and though they perform well, they hurt my hand after prolonged use.
So I stick with plastic pens and pencils, they’re lighter and more comfortable especially if they come with rubber grips.

Be so so careful with these bad boys. It's my favorite pencil (gifted by a friend). It was in my bag and i dropped it on the ground and the pencil tip snapped clean off, so I bought a new one from Jetpens. I'm never going to keep it in my bag without a case ever again.

While this is a good looking pen its chronically over rated and priced. Unless you actually plan on using this for drafting its not as practical as the offerings from Uni or Tombow.
