- I use luster dust and Everclear to paint the silver (amzn.to/1pa8YYv) and white (amzn.to/1i2LW4T) parts of the fish. The blue is Americolor royal blue gel paste (amzn.to/1qXx4oF) thinned with Everclear.
This is my version of the fish shaped cake in Colette's Cakes (amzn.to/1nh5OyW), a cake decorating book by Colette Peters, which has full instructions and the patterns for cutting the tail and fins to make this cake. - Хобби

can anyone tell m what decorating book I need to get for the fish shaped
Super cool
Can this work with a pound cake? And do you think homemade fondant will work as well? Also again how did you get the scales? Thanks for the idea !!!
Katz Tish This should work fine with a pound cake, and you'll be able to use homemade fondant. To make the scales, I took a piping tip and used the wide opening to imprint small half circles down the fish body in slightly overlapping rows. Thanks for watching and posting questions!
What can you use instead of alcohol?
Clear vanilla extract
when you say everclear, is that a food dye color?
No, it's clear grain alcohol. Vodka would also work.
