A good thing to know is level 2 run times
Baton pro - 600 lumens - 3.5 hours
Warrior mini - 500 lumens - 3.6 hours
S2r baton 2 - 400 lumens - 4 hours
This is most bang for your buck is level 2, turbo only last from 1 min on baton pro, 2 min on s2r2, and 4.5 min on warrior mini before they step down to level two output.
With all that being said you won't find a better edc light at those run times.
Best run time on any light is going to be the fenix pd36r. But its just a smidgen to big to fall under edc for me.
I agree! I have all 3 of the olights mentioned above, as well as the pd36r. Honestly, I love the pd36r, it's my bedside light and for when I'm outside around the house at night. But, I would never edc it, it's just too much (size) to be carrying in a pocket. I edc the warrior mini simply because I love the tail switch option. For those super light carry days, Its a toss up between the i5t EOS or my fenix e16.
@@travis4378 my pd36r was also my bedside light as well lol now I'm running the tt20. I feel like the pd36r is better quality but I hate the UI on it over the tt20. I like that I can hit firefly or moonlight mode if needed or I can hit someone with turbo.
My favorite Edc is the warrior mini just because of the UI but I edc my s2r2 more because its older and beat up.
How did I just find this channel? You got the comparisons that interest me most as someone already in the Olight lineup. I have both of those Batons and was wondering whether I should pick up the Mini.
This video actually answered the question without directly trying to TELL me the answer. Just laid out the facts, and more importantly, practical beam shots.
I missed this sale but I certainly agreed with the other comments about this being another baton and not a warrior. The tail switch is the selling point as you suggested. I'll be picking one up based on your review. Looks like a decent light.
Good inclusion and combo for beam comparison. Helps us all decide what to buy. Keep it up!!! :)
I had just bought the S2R II and I saw that olight is having a sale on the Warrior Mini right now so I found this video searching for if I should return my S2R II and buy the mini but I don’t think it’s really worth it. Thanks for the video!
Thx for that look Guy!!
Just the comparison I was looking for. I’ll stick with my s2r. Got the baton pro and absolutely hate the beam pattern. Glad you showed that I don’t need the warrior.
Are you still fully satisfied with your S2R Baton II ? I'm leaning more towards that model. The extra 1000 lumen.. surprisingly doesn't seem to stand out as much as I thought it would. And apparently the S2R can use other companies rechargeable batteries (without turbo mode). The other 2 are stuck with Olights proprietary batteries.. which I'm highly against because you never know if you might have to use some other companies batteries in a pinch, to get by.
I actually think the S2R Baton II wins ! I like the beam much better & surprisingly.. the 1000 extra lumen is not very noticeable.. thanks for the showcasing !!
Decent upfront review, yet another near worthless comparison test at 75 yd. I do like that the difference between lumens (flood) and candela (distance) was at least mentioned with the 2000 lumen Baton Pro on top as the superior floodlight . Why not test each light to the specified max distances for each power level to do a true distance comparison. There is a 65 meter (213 ft) max difference between the two Batons and the Warrior Mini on turbo settings, it would be nice to see the difference.
This test was done at about 75 ft not yards. However, I've fully reviewed each light on the channel in their own stand alone video reviews. Those videos are more indepth but unfortunately not all have comparisons, but I have tested all these lights at their max distance in those videos so maybe that will help 🤷🏻♂️. Just search the channel and you'll find them all. Any pocket sized edc light of this style from olight tends to degrade significantly after about 100ft or so. The manual gives a generous estimate as to how far this lights will throw vs real world use of how far it actually throws 😁. Im sure in the pitch black you'll be able to see a shape from 200 plus yards but definitely not fine details with any of these lights regardless of having 65 meters difference on the box. Of course it's just my opinion on these lights. This video is just a quick snap shot of what to expect side by side. I will be making more comparisons videos soon for these lights and simular. Maybe a side by side comparison on all the pocket edc lights as well, 🤔 that would be cool 😎 thanks so much for you comment and suggestions. I value the input of my viewers and I like making content that you'll want to watch. 👍🏼😎
@@PreparedGuy Thanks, I'll look for your other reviews.
My baton pro is nice but just has hardly any throw at all. Nice for close up tasks and dark rooms but not very useful outside looking around.
Tail switch is laggy, been using it for a year now, tail switch when using it for the magnetic base, turns on and off or strobes, not good when working in a pitch black ceiling expecting it to light you up when attached to a steel beam, i will be buying the baton pro because of the nontail switch.
I got a warrior mini and just charged it from completely dead. I dont know the exact time but it did charge in les than 4 hours. I started it at 7pm and its 11 now. I was also charging my s30r ii which was complexly dead, has a smaller battery and its not done charging yet.
You need a true quickcharge compatible usb port/charger. You I phone users know nothing about those. Any of the real 15watt and higher chargers will work. Qualcomm quick charge and their clones along with power drive and usb c thunderbolt will do the trick.
Thanks for this. Never had an Olight. Seems to be good timing. Got my camo the other day.
I thought they looked very similar, olight must have had alot if extra magnetic tailcaps laying around. Doesnt really make it tactical though, no bezel on the front so I dont really think it matches the warrior line. Thanks for the clarity man 😁👍 saved me some money.
I carry the S1R II As my EDC and work Light. I am very impressed at how long the battery last and how bright the little light is. In the evenings I carry the M1T Raider Plus and on the weekends I carry the Baton Pro. I own and have carried the Warrior Mini, S2R II, I5T, & I3T. Along with the bigger lights like the M2 Warrior and Pro Warrior X.
To me the S1R is smaller and easier to use daily, ( for what I do, HVAC ) than the S2R. I find the S2R and the Warrior Mini to be the same, but with the tail switch. I like the Warrior more because of the that. They seem to have similar spotlight beams and distances at 0-100yds. So yes Warrior mini is more tactical because of those features, even if the bezel isn’t full of sharp spikes. But I still prefer the M1T Raider Plus over it, as I like the spot with some flood for use in normal 75yds and under use.
Then there’s the Baton Pro, a super bright flood light, which I find to be excellent for all around use!!
Just like Apple products, I’ll be giving away my Warrior Mini and wait for the “S” or “Pro” update. I hope they combine the 2 and have the Warrior Mini Pro. Until then I’ll wait, as the other lights are working for me.
I love my warrior mini but I want a baton pro or the new seeker 3 pro so badd all my lights are more thrower style other than my perun 2, and my baton 3 and s1r2 baton just don't have the battery life I need
S2r II Warrior, is what they should have called it.
Hey man I just got my warrior mini and I tested it tword the s2r baton 2 both on a full charge and the warrior was bright on every brightness except moon light the s2r baton looks brighter even though the s2r baton 2 is 0.5 lumens and the wariar mini is 1 lumens can you test this and confirm. Great video happy new year.
Olight told me because it's 2 different style of light I dont buy that thought
@@LEO-rc3tq I know this is late but the S2r moonlight mode is brighter I don’t know why though
@@nathanb778 yeah I know I emailed olight they sayed that it's because they're different type of lights.
i got Warrior mini, tail switch does not work, battery level light does not work, called customer service, no answer, sending back....wont buy again
Sounds like you definitely got a dud. This need to work on their quality control if thats happening. Im sorry to hear about your unfortunate experience with them. Thanks for sharing it. Its good to know everyone different experiences with olight products, not just the ones they want people to hear about.
Which flashlight is better? What to choose?
They all have their benefits, you should choose by which one would best fit your needs. If you have a tactical high alert lifestyle the warrior mini is useful when there isn't a more powerful light available. If you're just using it to inspect small areas then the s2r2 is great. If you need to light up a room but don't need very much throw then the baton pro is great.
Would you happen to know whether the Warrior mini's butt end strikes as hard as the batton pro's? The button seems to make it unpractical and soft to hit with compared to the full metal butt of the pro
Would you test something for me please? Will the Baton Pro head (i.e. light assembly) fit on the Warrior Mini?
It actually says very specificly not to swap out the body of the warrior mini with any other lights because it will damage the light. Also the diameter of the warrior is smaller than the baton pro so even if it could work without damaging the light the bodies are not compatible 🤷🏻♂️ hope this was helpful. 😎👍🏼🔦
I wonder how hard it would be to do a emitter swap. I got this light ordered but I already want to swap the emitter to something a lot warmer.
I'm not sure but I feel like it should have a warmer tint too. I think its a little to cool white, I use to like cool white but the neutral White has grown on me. An emitter swap shouldn't be too difficult.
@@PreparedGuy I prefer the fuller spectrum of a neutral white as it gives much better perception. Olight should give us the choice. In doing so they should be careful the neutral is actually neutral, not some off tint.
It would be awesome to be able to pick the emitter temperature. 👍🏼😎🔦
Should I charge the battery before use? Just ordered the warrior mini and it's my first EDC flashlight
Yes always fully charge your flashlight before using them.
For me the best edc goes to.....
And still...
The undefeated...
s1r baton ii 😅
Thought for sure you were going to name some other brand
Right, im light check out these olights, which one has the best throw. This nitecore p18 kills them all. Muahahahah🤣😂🤷🏻♂️👍🏼 now but seriously, the nitecore p18 would wreck these lights. Go watch my review.
@@PreparedGuy I've had bad luck with nitecore
Which brand do you like?
@@PreparedGuy i have alot of olights but If they sacrifice quality for quantity ill probably go to something else.
The Warrior Mini has the worst light :(
Got my S2R baton 2 today, can't get a freaking light to work. Man am i pissed, This is my first and last Olight flashlight
@@ridehi8083 Correct, those are in all gadgets you get with supplied batteries. Thanks for the info. That is more
advice then when I chatted with olight online, they replied just return it,,,nothing else. Battery was charged also.
Please send me this one
???? send you what? am I a store?
GArbAGE
There is litterally no difference besides the tail switch and the burning my hands 😂🤣 the s2r2 is fine. The mini is gimmicky.
Joking
I'm not, my hand melted off my body from the heat that comes off the mini. I'm suing olight for all of the lumens. All of them! 🤣😂
@@PreparedGuy I luke Tail Switch much better
NOOOOOO......DONT DO THAT..
