The Duratech Ranger cargo pants are the absolute best work pants I’ve ever worn! The 874s are the most versatile; can be worn for work, casual, dress, etc. and the price is right.

I have been blessed and cursed with some of the chonkiest calves known to man, and Dickies loose fit have been an absolute godsend to me. With most pants I can't get past the knee, so it's great to have pants that are made more to my figure.

Good choices, the design on the cargo is nice but there are some cons to it. I'm planning to release a more detailed review on the cargo pants this week. Hopefully itll answer all your questions.
The unfortunate thing about Dickies Pants is that you can’t just “go up a size” as far as the waist is concerned, so if a 34 waist technically fits, but it’s a tad tight, you have to jump 2 sizes up to a 36 and have to wear a belt and deal with a baggy fit in the legs. Ridiculous! I like their 874 line and own several pairs that are unfortunately gonna be phased out of my collection because they are either too tight or too baggy and loose.
It depends where you buy them. Dickies themselves sell some types in a lot of sizes - 874 for example comes as short as 28” leg and have waist sizes in 1 inch increments. Most stores seem to go 28, 30, 32etc which is annoying. Also, side note - the sizes are inconsistent. I’ve ordered a few of the same pairs recently and they have all been noticeably different, and they also give more room if you order longer leg sizes. Kind of makes it a headache when ordering online and something fits just a tad tight.
There super durable. I had a pair of dickies for 2+ years with minimal damage. I’m pretty rough with my clothes so that’s a plus and there pretty comfortable too.

I got some purple rose 874 dickies in 36x30 and I have a black pair in 33x30 and they fit fine like loose in the waist and a little bit baggy not a lot but hopefully going 3 sizes up again is baggy I couldn’t decide if I wanted some double Kees for the loose fit or the cool purple colored 874s
best dickies break down video i have ever seen! wish they (dickies) would add the cell pocket to the 874 that would be the perfect pants. i use the double knee because of that feature, but really like the 874 for fit and look and leg opening but need that extra pocket soooo...
Love the video! I wear almost all of them with the exception of the cargo or 873 fits. The loose fit looks HUGE on you lol but those will always be huge on anyone.
wondering how accurate is their waistline sizing ......I wear 33 jeans .... but found am awesome deal on 34 waists ... I hate belts but hoping Dickies sizing would be a tiny bit snugg 34 ,some 33s can feel too loose ......so 34 would almost garenteed feel too loose,......just not sure how tooo loose compared to Rustler jeans.

I have a few pairs of slim tapers. They still feel too baggy for my taste. Also the skinny pants I have tried and I agree with you they feel too tight. Wish dickies would have a size in between skinny and slim. Also I think dickies need a larger zipper opening. Their zippers feel 3/4 sized.
I just bought a pair off amazon I usually wear 32x32 but I decided to go up one size 34x32 and forgot how baggy they actually are but overall I miss the comfort
I'd recommend the Loose Fit if you're looking for a baggy look, (Loose Fit shorts for the cholo look), and I always recommend going 1 or 2 sized up (I'm a 36, and I usually get 40, or 42), and a dickie belt always looks good if you're wearing anything color that isn't black

Can you please explain difference between Levis 514 straight fit flex and Levi's 514 stretch straight-fit flex . I just bought one of each from Kohls in the same size. But the latter one fits me a bit more snug than the former. Matter of fact, I may need to buy the first ones in an inch smaller in the waist b/c they're kinda loose... Any ideas on if there should be this difference even though they are both 514s and same exact waist/inseam size??? (There is only that slight difference in their respective names, but both pair are 514s).
Check what material each pair is made of. I would think that the latter would have more elastane in it. The material really makes a difference on the overall fit even if both pairs are the same waist/inseam.
I got the "slim" straight for work and they're baggy as fuck. Also I got the same size I've gotten for every pair of pants I've bought and these things are way bigger at the waist. If they don't shrink in the wash in throwing them away with the other "work" Dickies I got that are too thin at the ankle to fit around my boots and still baggy as fuck.
In 2023 They are not selling 874s for 20 bucks! They’re over $80 on the official site for my region. Although the US site has them for $30 so it must just be intentional gauging.
How strange. I wear a 30x34 so I imagine we have similar fitting and the Skinny Straight isn't as tight as it appears on you. My khaki pair do not bunch at all at the knee. I actually quite like it. Not too tight and not too loose. Doing my own measurements and comparison, it is almost like the Levi 502 taper. Perhaps the factory messed up or they adjusted it to be a tad looser? I did buy mine in mid to late 2021.

That are pretty stretchy but not sure if it can stretch that much to fit comfortably on me. I probably need to go up 2 sizes lol

Dickies are great for skating I skate in the all the time they are super durable and doesnt rip fast they are loose and they just look nice

874 and 873 are both good options for you. Depends on how wide you want your pants. If you're very skinny then 873 is probably your best bet
