I love the fact that there is so much talent hidden from our eyes and ears; rappers like eppic and singers like Jess and violinist like Lindsey Stirling are prime examples. Jess has a is beautiful in both her voice and her appearance, it makes me happy to see an actual singer and none of that autotune crap. Eppic brings close to an old school raps that are original and just pure poetry.

My uncle died this morning due to complications of his heart. My family and I listened to this song everyday, in hopes that everything will be alright. Even though there are tears, Eppic and Jess made me realize that it'll be alright and now that the storm is over, I thank Jess and Eppic for this amazing song.

@Kianarama Actually I am a music producer and I do here some pitch correction on her voice. Not saying that she isn't talented, but T-Pain isn't the only person who uses pitch correction. I use it all the time, sometimes noticeable, sometimes not. Listen to her voice at 0:10 and it is very noticeable but not so much throughout the track. Great song though.

it sounds great, but i think it would sound better if the rapping somehow had a little more emotion in it. I get that the words have to be clearly spoken but I think it could be smoothed over a little so that it sounds more like a human talking

You can only get so far. And in all honesty it isn’t very far at all. We hit walls sooner than we’d like and when we do they seem insurmountable. I’ve hit quite a few walls in my life. Many of them were caused by my own mind working against me. When I hear this song I hear the side of my mind telling me that the wall is insurmountable for me. That you can never defeat yourself all alone. I hear my mind reminding me that these walls have appeared before and that only God’s light allows me to climb them. I’ve got a surgery in two days. It’s just very minor but I have never had any sort of anesthesia or surgery before. My mind has put walls up in front of me again. Telling me to deal with the pain. Telling me that I am not strong enough to even reach the hospital. My mind is wrong. The Lord will show me the light when I need it most. And he will show it to everyone who needs him when they call out that they can’t go on any further. He will arrive.

I grew out of rap close to a decade ago, I've always enjoyed the idea of rap, and adore writing and language, which true rap is supposed to embody. The poetic nature of language can truly be shown through rap. The "rap" that is mainstream kills the genre for me, and I'm sure many others, Eppic breaks this idea of rap and is making music that everybody should listen to, he's a word smith. Don't lose your ideals
I have never been a big fan of rap. All I've ever heard was people talking about sex and drugs and partying and all that. But this is truly beautiful! You are officially the only rapper I would ever say is amazing without fault! Your lyrics mean something, each and every one of them say something. This is officially one of my all time favourite songs! This is a side of rap that I have never heard and I love it. You need to be heard. :)
Mainstream rap and music in general has always sucked, some of the best music is the music you never hear on the radio or mainstream television. It's hidden gems like these that represent the true art of musical genres, never judge a genre by the mainstream crap that you hear on the radio. All music genres have their place, mainstream just makes some of them seem like they serve no purpose.
@EeeAreEyeKay I hate it when people say this, especially when they end it with "I hate rap and hip hop" Cuz everything you said here, IS rap and Hip Hop, shooting, money and bitches is Gangsterrap, which is only a sub-genre in hiphop.
Mostly Hip Hop is like this, but look further than Mainstream, cuz thats where the moneyshootingdrugs raps are, Check out Classified, or maybe even my channel (Beginning rapper, but meaningful lyrics).
@MoonGarten Eppic takes rap to an entirely different level, he does not rap about bitches and whores and how much money he makes. He raps with pure love and feel for the art, he understand how to do it right an nails it perfectly.

@MoonGarten Rap is what they make it.. Rap is art, a form of poetry. Generic rap which you hear on the radio and in the charts is not that of real rap, its just another form of artificial fake music. Eppic writes his lyrics from his heart and mind, so does a few others on RUclips and the same can be said of that from Eminem. Just like every type of music, it all depends on who puts the pen to paper.. If you do not understand the passion that goes into music then you cannot comment or judge.

i don't think the swear word inputted in to the song ruins it, music is more than just a few words its something that means more than a few words. This song is meant to let you know that there is not only a way to get through the hard times. But there is someone there to wipe away the pain and tears after it, and that you have a purpose to your family and friends to do the same.
Absolutely breath taking. All I could ask for is a bit better of a video, but from one artist to another I know how hard it is to get funding. I do like the idea of singing in the rain, but it'd be cool if it were a little less closed off and repetitive. Honestly though the song is far enough to make up for that small blunder.
I listen to rock music over rap. I compose my own songs too. But for the longest time now, I couldn't get myself to think of lyrics to a new song.
