Laptop chassis are often designed by other companies. HP would have bought this design and then thrown it all together, hence why the over the top large vent on the bottom is present. The company that designed it would have no idea where a computer company might put heat sinks and fans, so by making it really large, they can target a bunch of customers that might have deals on certain types of motherboard etc.

13:09 While I normally agree with a "better than nothing" attitude, I gotta say, not having a second nvme slot REALLY sucks. Having one is literally the bare minimum
The laptop has been out for 2 months I believe so we wont know for a few years. With that said the 2022 model seems to be doing great so far and aside from the hinge issue does not have any major issues.

I know Windows 10 is almost at the end of its lifecycle come next October, Only reason I say this, is because I don't really like windows 11 because of how horrible it is, and am thinking of installing windows 10 on it.
Yes it does. The Omen gaming hub program has the option of setting the fan speed from quiet to auto and to max, but setting it to max speed will make the laptop's fan really loud.
75w seems to be thest best one based on my research as it is often only 2 fps slower than 100 watts in most scenarios and likely runs quite a bit cooler @@EntertainBend01
I’m planning to buy this in december, as a Christmas gift to myself. Do you guys think that this will last for 5-10 years? PS. I’m a casual gamer. 30-40 fps/medium preset is enough for me.
5-10 years is a huge ask for a lot of laptops. But I doubt this laptop will meet that requirement. I would think about getting an earlier iteration of a Lenovo legion laptop. They are sturdy and can reach that life span you are looking for.
@@evilguy909 Depends on what you want to do with the laptop. If this is going to be the first laptop of yours and you have not done much of any gaming on console. Then I would say go for it. The reason is anyone who has a console and wants to buy this laptop to game on the go. They are going to need to change their expectations on what the laptop is capable of doing. You can easily play games that are in the realm of E sports titles. But triple A titles will require a lot of changing of settings which means less quality in your experience of said game. Now if you are okay with that and like to be able to do the other things like, editing videos and multitasking, this is perfect. But I reiterate this point again, 5-10 years for a laptop like this, that is a hard ask for someone who is wanting to play the latest and wants to not be experiencing hardware issues. Most laptops are going to have them anyway. But this laptop is going to have issues in 5 years. With every year games needing better graphics cards, this is not a laptop for 5-10 years.
Battery is usually cheap to exchange atleast with my gaming laptop. Don’t let people tell you gaming laptops are bad they probably don’t have one. From someone that has both a gaming pc and gaming laptop I always recommend a laptop if you want it for gaming as well as school or work since you can build a gaming setup with it and take it on the go. This laptop even thought it’s a good deal for the price not sure if it’ll last 10 years. I’m sure it can make it to 5 thought. If you really want something to last you I recommend spending a little more on a sturdier and more powerful laptop. The 4050 is good but since it’s a laptop and the gpu isn’t as good as normal 4050 it might have trouble later on. Like I said honestly it should last you 5 years if you take care of it of course. Should still be able to run most game at that time. Anything above 5 years honestly the gpu might have trouble as well as the build quality might not make it. Asus makes very good laptops and usually Can find them open box in some stores like Best Buy for a pretty good price. Same thing with Msi, Razer if you have the money, and other laptops that have a better gpu and better build quality.

I have this gaming laptop but it has a RTX 3050 TI instead of a RTX 4050
Good to know!
do you know where i can get ram sticks and ssd upgrade for this laptop?
Online at amazon or your local computer stores i suggest buying crucial (any type of company is good just saying because of the fare price and performance)
this or new dell inspiron 14 5420 (2023)
I just bought this laptop after such reviews thinking it was a good laptop. But it has very bad whistling which is fucking annoying. Looking to give it back and get hp pavilion instead
How about the expandability?
Details included in the review :)
That sucks, It only has 1 slot
I found this laptop but with i5 12500h for 899€ does it worth it?
Same boat as you looking for a laptop, the official HP website sells a better version for about 750.
good for music production?
It has the horse power for it, just make sure you use headphones.
this laptop is so good i like it
Is the Ryzen 5 version much different to this?
in terms of cpu, I'd say a little different, but gpu, rtx 2050 is left behinf by rtx4050, regardless the ryzen 5 version is superb either u want to game or even editing or using 3d app. I'm a mechanical engineering student, i have the ryzen 5 7k series and i mainly use it for autocad and a little gaming, mk 11 ultimate, max settings with an average fps of ±59.
Can you do a video of laptops you would recommend for coding
review victus 16 rtx 4060 too please
13:09 While I normally agree with a "better than nothing" attitude, I gotta say, not having a second nvme slot REALLY sucks. Having one is literally the bare minimum
Fair take. Just trying to keep the review relative. Thanks for watching and commenting!
what’s the tdp on the gpu?
Mine doesn’t seem to do power delivery?
I thought it has 1659 gtx or 2050 rtx
Anyone facing little bit blur screen issue while playing games? Like if i move mouse in game i find that my screen has some sort of blurness.
You mean motion blur? Did u check in game settings
@@Sandersen-v2i no, just searches and found out that it has a little ghosting due to 9ms response time

Thank you 😊
How is it in the long run tho?
The laptop has been out for 2 months I believe so we wont know for a few years. With that said the 2022 model seems to be doing great so far and aside from the hinge issue does not have any major issues.
has anyone installed windows 10 on this laptop and does it run better than windows 11? I know Windows 10 is almost at the end of its lifecycle come next October, Only reason I say this, is because I don't really like windows 11 because of how horrible it is, and am thinking of installing windows 10 on it.
wow the screen just ruined it, 45%???
Does it have software to control fan speed?
Yes it does. The Omen gaming hub program has the option of setting the fan speed from quiet to auto and to max, but setting it to max speed will make the laptop's fan really loud.
Anyone know how many watts the GPU is? i legit cannot find it anywhere.
75 watts
75w seems to be thest best one based on my research as it is often only 2 fps slower than 100 watts in most scenarios and likely runs quite a bit cooler @@EntertainBend01
Gaming labtop Possible to use video editing too?
Details in the performance section :)
I have this laptop, its really good :D
It really is
Really? How long you've been using this? I'm about to buy a Victus 15 and I'm a bit anxious since this will be my first gaming laptop.
@@DiannMoonlightdid you guys end up buying it? Really wanna buy it soon
@@DiannMoonlight same let me us know how it goes please
Do you know how many watt the gpu (max tdp) is?
Its 120watt, for 40 series 50-70 gpu doesnt give u extra fps after 90-100watt
I’m planning to buy this in december, as a Christmas gift to myself. Do you guys think that this will last for 5-10 years?
PS. I’m a casual gamer. 30-40 fps/medium preset is enough for me.
I'm also wondering if it will lasts that long. This will be my first Gaming Laptop so I hope it will be worth it.
5-10 years is a huge ask for a lot of laptops. But I doubt this laptop will meet that requirement. I would think about getting an earlier iteration of a Lenovo legion laptop. They are sturdy and can reach that life span you are looking for.
@@TheFergo911 do you recommend lenovo ideapad gaming 3?
Same thing with Msi, Razer if you have the money, and other laptops that have a better gpu and better build quality.
great review, thanks
Thanks for watching!
