Demasoni is hard to find. The location is in midst of the lake. Even our divers who always new where we are frequently disagree where to drop the anchor. Our competitors never found that place so they declared that they got all caught out. Particular feature is color of the rocks. It must be reddish brown. That is where Demasoni is. They are very small too. I had to fold my net to get them. Only 5 mm mesh. Everybody wants straight bars. Reality is that messed up bars are very common for this fish. I venture to say that easily 25% or more of these will have uneven bars. It is not inbreeding in captivity/ Of course it is advisable to select them but one never gets rid of these irregular patterns.. Some extra bars are also present but that may come from some form of elongatus mixed in as i never found them in wild fish. We have caught 50 of these fish those days but because it is so remote I do not think that anyone goes there anymore. It is near Pombo so some spectacular P. Pombo can be caught there. Loved that place. Only some 6 ft depth. One could fish for hours.
