That's a thought i have always had. I love looking at old photos of my family, so in 30 years, it'll be nice to think that grandkids could see all of this.
That first fox photo made me say WOW out loud. Absolutely love the images from this adventure. Thank you for 6 years of inspiration and showing us your growth as a photographer.
The last fox image is *chefs kiss*. The snow really made it feel like a pencil sketch, which, to me, elevates the photo even more. Loving this series and images.
Hi Thomas love the shot of the fox that's great. This video makes me want to crawl into bed and pull the covers up. Thanks for sharing this great trip with us.
My first ever comment on your videos. although have been an admirer of the channel and photos for a number of years. The Arctic Fox photos for me are all a wow, especially the first couple in the video. Congratulations on a great trip. Michael
Who cares if you didnt record it, thats awesome, sometimes it feels like im just living vicariously through your vacations. Those are some rare and awesome shots of the foxes.
That last fox image was excellent and came about unexpectantly when you thought you were finished for the day. Many of my most satisfying photos are "surprises" as well. Don't forget to turn around once in awhile as you might be pleased with what you see.
The picture of the arctic fox shot in the evening is stunning. And this is how, as a nature photographer, I recognize this challenge of combining videography and filming.
Your book has arrived finally! My dad and I were so excited to see the photos and the videos of their process. Unfortunately my father passed away a month ago from cancer and didn't get the chance to see the book he was so excited for. He had a passion for photography and we would watch your videos together, and we would go on our own little adventures taking photos. The book is great and your videos (old and new) bring comfort in these turbulent times. Perhaps this is a sign to visit Iceland like my dad wanted. But for now, your videos bring the pleasant memory of bonding over photography and the inspiration you would give us. Thank you
That last image was the best of the day. The contrast of the dark fox with the white snow made it. It would not have worked out if the fox had been white. Well done.
The first fox pictures made me go WOW. That last one was an OMG moment. Absolutely spectacular Tom. I watch all your videos, but I don't think I have commented yet. 👌
That final fox, though ... yeh, baybee! You know, the initial wildlife shooter thought might be, "Wish I were closer" but then I thought to myself that the distance lends space which puts the fox where he belongs: out in the broad expanse of nothingness. It is beautiful. Put it on a giant canvas and sell it for a quarter mill like Yarrow does. There's a movie star out there who wants that image. It is soooo good.
Your photos of the fox at 12:40-13:10 are really good. Definitely printable. That last image of the fox staring at you in a frigid wintery wasteland is how a lot of its feel in life at one time or another...
Stunning stunning stunning. The story, the emotions, the shots. The pictures of the foxes, they make you almost see the individual character of those beautiful creatures.
Well for a Landscape photographer you wording something right for this fox images. Yes, the last one was superb, indeed a wildlife photographers dream show I suspect. Pleas remember some of us live our photography through watching you. We are in no position health wise to get near the things you do, they are wonderful for us. I have enjoyed lots of things you have done, especially with the van, I hope you go back to it, however this was just wonderful, its possibly because of the amazing scenery but those amazing fox images will stay with me!
I do have a thing for foxes :-) Your foxortraits are simply amazing .... The expression on the face of the "grand finale" one is mesmerising . Thanks a 1000 times for sharing this magic moment with us.
Thomas "Vincent Munier" Heaton 😜. I love those foxes images Thomas, they remind me a bit of Vincent's work. Your struggles were rewarded with great captures 🙂. Have a nice Boat ride on your return... 🤣
Epic photos. Love all of the images of the foxes, but the last image especially, it just has so much emotion captured within the frame. Brilliant video
Wow !! That last image is truly amazing !! Stop apologizing for the video not being good enough, your videos always are amazing, wether you take a picture or not, for me it’s the journey you put us through, not necessarily the destination/goal of taking a picture.
I was absolutely in awe of the fox images , the first 3 were so beautiful , the eyes just were hypnotic but the last one at the end of the video was amazing . You are truly an inspirational photographer, I learn so much from your Chanel .You tell the most wonderful stories with each and every photograph. Thank you for the all the hard work you take with your videos it is greatly appreciated . :)
A great adventure into that wild land. I agree that last image of the fox is a cracker!! Wildlife photography is so different to Landscape photography, isn't it. That shot is a KEEPER!
Wow. That last image of the fox was amazing! You should definitely shoot wildlife on a semi-regular basis. It's wonderful to get a landscape photographer's interpretation of wildlife.
Hey Thomas, great video as usual. That last photo was pretty special 👌 Have you talked about your tripod head? I can't seem to find any videos on your channel about it. Would love to hear about it when you have some time. Cheers from Aus 👍
Tom you continue to impress me even after all these years !! Start to finish was fantastic ! Those fox shots made me pause for each one !! Incredible and to have to do those hikes twice too
Loving this series Thomas, the last fox image is sublime as is the one with it sat side on seemingly contemplating its lot! Looking forward to seeing more 👏👍😀 As always thanks for taking the time to share things with us, it must take a huge effort 👍😀
Lovely, lovely final photograph! Nature videographers always make things look so easy, but we all know the amount of time and effort (and discomfort) behind each frame.
Great shots… if you struggle to vlog and photograph, makes us all appreciate yourself and Morton Hilmer a whole lot more….great adventures…great photographs and great memories… Can you tell us a little more on the technical aspects and challenges of photographing in the snow? Like metering, exp compensation etc…
Stunning. And thank you for such informative videos. Your commentary is full of great information, and is helping me to think more and more about the images I take.
Fantastic to see the wildlife Tom, it really is a challenge to photograph and film at the same time that is for sure. Can't wait for the next one, Cheers, Duade
For a Photographer the Arctic is heaven. I made some of my best images in 2000 in East Greenland. A place even more remote than this. I can highly recommend Iceland and Greenland for this passion.
What stories you can tell your grandchildren.. and they'll be able to live those stories through these videos, what a legacy.
That's a thought i have always had. I love looking at old photos of my family, so in 30 years, it'll be nice to think that grandkids could see all of this.
@@ThomasHeatonPhoto Hey Tom, i'm your Grandson
You're not just a landscape photographer Thomas, you're just a real good photographer.
This!
and videographer... and narrator... and storyteller... the list goes on and on!!! lol
I think any pro wildlife photographer would be impressed with the fox photos you captured - beautiful images.
that last photo was so touching i started tearing immensely as it appeared , its not a photo for your eyes but it does talk to all of your senses
That first fox photo made me say WOW out loud. Absolutely love the images from this adventure. Thank you for 6 years of inspiration and showing us your growth as a photographer.
Yep same here!!!
You should win the Oscar for the best screenplay: stressing out how much you failed and right after proceeding to show two beautiful images
Love the final fox image! Really captures the feeling of being lost in a blizzard
Thomas, I come watch your videos when I need a detox of sorts. Your videos are soul soothing. There's a purity to it that I can't quite explain
Last photo, stunning! Generates an emotional response - says all that needs to be said. Proper adventure and non-obvious locations. Great stuff. 👍
honestly stunning. The emotion that the last fox photo conveys is the proof that it's an amazing piece of photography! very moving
I like the side faced picture of a solo fox sitting on the snow very much
That last image... wow. Just wow. It's beautiful.
That last fox image was amazing and it absolutely looks like a pencil or pen sketch. Just wonderful!
12:31 - You are liar! By saying "I failed" and then showing this absolutely stunishing piece of art! :D
I am a Brit, only one word needed for this. Brilliant.
Oh my gawd, Morton Hilmer has met his competition now, congratulations, the fox image is stunning!!!!
The image of Mr. 🦊 is a keeper. It's simplicity says so much.
My first ever comment on your videos. although have been an admirer of the channel and photos for a number of years. The Arctic Fox photos for me are all a wow, especially the first couple in the video. Congratulations on a great trip. Michael
