Gyda & her snowshoes 😊❤️ Your captures echo the preciousness of life in this harsh world. Wish everyone could see the world & appreciate its' singular beauty as you both do. Gamin little foxes so hardy & sweet.
Such a sweet souls these foxes. This was so moving and made me cry. What tough conditions to live in and to photograph. Thank you for sharing this with us.
I've not watched an upload from your channel for 2-3 months now, not being notified plus other reasons. Whilst watching this video it reminded me of why I subscribed in the first place. Some of your snaps actually got me a little emotional. They are some genuinely beautiful pieces of art work. I don't mind saying that if I had produced those pictures I would be really quite proud of myself. Well done. Good luck and good life.
Perfect conditions, ha ha. Butt with nice results who reflects these conditions very well. Great clothing in wich you are still very comfortable are very welcome then.
GYDA and Gudmann, it is incredible how they just transported me to that spectacular and beautiful adventure, I felt full of snow and cold as you were and believe me that this type of content fascinates me. Thank you very much for allowing me to travel with you and live such a beautiful experience minute by minute. A hug from Mexico!!
Your commitment to getting your shots and the fantastic quality of the shots is an inspiration to us all, thank you for posting your vids that I have only just found. I wish I could visit Iceland
I think I've watched this about 15 times now and it's hard for me to get tired of it. The whole thing is so cool! From the insane setting and conditions to the photos of the foxes to the music you chose it all fits perfectly. Your channel is one of the best. I look forward to when you release new content!
Glad you enjoyed it! We have been thinking about re-doing this video, since we have possibly learnt more in video editing (and audio) since it was published. There is another video coming up about arctic fox photography. It is not yet on the to-do list. We have already shot the material, but the plan is to publish it later this winter. It´s great to hear you appreciate what we are doing.
@6:39 The look of someone who knows they bagged a great image 😁A fantastic video and such commitment to get out there to produce it. What a tough life those foxes have.
Considering going to Iceland in January I must admit this weather you experienced here is just as crazy as you say (note to self: bring warm clothes!)...amazing photos though and a big admiration for your work and videos...truly inspiring.
Thanks for sharing! I'm a birder living in the US and in 2019 while visiting my in-law i got to ride scooter around a farming area in small town 3 hours out of Ho Chi Minh city and photographed over 30 species of colorful birds. Your video is stuff only dreams are made of at this point but I can understand the excitement just being up close and personal with beautiful animals whether a fox or a kingfisher bird.
Magical moments for photography, you're great twins, hoping covid stuff little gets away and travel again, grateful to you for sharing ❤ Keep shooting great videos
Wow….I know this is 4 years old now, but incredible images, incredible experience! Just subscribed to you guys and currently binge watching everything on your channel….simply stunning work from both of you…..🤙👌🏻
This was just super to see. I have a lot of pictures from Norway, but wish some day to get the possibility to see and photograph in Iceland. So lets hope there is opening of travelling again for our planned trip in November :) Thank you for sharing.
Thank you Arnfinn. The world situation is going to get better and travel will be a normal thing again. We also look forward going to Norway photographing. Norway has a lot to offer as you know. Now - dreaming of future trips will have to do.
The obvious showing of hard work and dedication pays off when you get such an incredible opportunity to shoot not just one but two Arctic foxes. I'm just wondering why one of the two are brown? I thought ALL Arctic foxes were snow white in color (?). NTL, ABSOLUTELY incredible footage!!!
Thank you for this video insight of the location, one of my target mammals to photograph, hopefully next winter obviously after Covid-19 has settled down. Keep warm and keep safe.
Good question! The conditions we were in there were crazy. So many challenges to overcome, not only regarding the equipment. The pro Nikon cameras are capable of withstanding harsh conditions like we had there by us being careful, protecting the gear and trying to keep it dry. This was not always the case. Einar once dropped the Nikon Z6 body when walking in a snowstorm. It fell off the lens. Found out later that the body was missing from the 500 mm lens. By going back we found the Z6 in the snow - full of snow. The mount and the sensor was full of snow. After drying the body for 5 hours over gas it was just fine. This shows how tough the mirrorless system is. I am not sure the DSLR´s would have survived. This is why Einar has today a shoelace tied between the lens and the body. The most difficult problem is to keep moisture out of the lenses. If you take a lens into a warm house after being outside it dampens up and getting rid of the moisture takes a long time. So... we keep the gear either outside or at least in cold conditions. This Nikon gear is tough and we trust it for anything. We don´t treat our gear well, we try to be careful, but we use it and if we can go outside the gear should be able to take the same beating as we do. So far the gear has survived. In conditions like these the gear often freezes - the eyepieces get full of moisture from the warm face - the tripod legs get frozen in a fixed position etc... ;-)
Hey you both, ... ever thought about doing this professional ...?? :-) :-) :-) ... Seriously, take any superlativ ... you deserve them all !!! 9:03 min: Thank you God !! All the best for you and I really be thankful that I found you.

How does your camera gear shape up in them harsh conditions, that’s a real test for any make of camera or lense , brilliantly made video .
