Cuban pianist, composer, and arranger Cuban pianist, composer, and arranger Chucho Valdés is the most influential figure in modern Afro-Cuban jazz. He is perhaps best known for helming iconic Cuban ensemble Irakere (1973-2005). In a career spanning more than 60 years, Valdés has distilled elements of the Afro-Cuban music tradition, jazz, classical music, rock, and more into a deeply personal style. He is joined by bassist Jose Armando Gola and percussionist Roberto Vizcaíno Jr. for what is sure to be a transcendent performance.

Awesome Sauce to each and every artist on that stage!!! As a drummer/percussionist myself, Roberto's drum setup is unique and beautiful and he articulated wonderfully around it!!!

Concierto increíble en formato trío. Lo que logra Roberto Vizcaíno con ese set de percusión es impresionante. Hace poco tiempo se necesitaban dos personas para tocar esos instrumentos, sin embargo él lo hace sonar totalmente orgánico y balanceado dentro del ensamble. Respeto y admiración para los 3 maestros.

Bueno ya él padre Roberto era un pulpo con el set de percusión con Gonzalito y su proyecto,otra cosa Chucho y sus raíces,Bebo Valdés tuvo una gran banda, que como se fue lo cogió eso que andá, el látigo con que Fidel le daba a todos los que no tocaban lo que él quería, Cuba es música y alegría ahora en pausa.
