Beautiful. I've been loving Walpurgisnacht for months. Here downunder in Australia it is Beltaine, however I'm celebrating and dancing to both Walpurgisnacht and Halloween. I do love how Horned God played The Horned God. I loved Ian Hencher as Pan. Happy Halloween and congrats on your own label.
@Music You went on a massive rant to hate on Wiccans for no reason. I figured I'd help you out on why they celebrate Beltane now instead of Samhain: Wiccans in the Southern Hemisphere celebrate the Wheel mirrored, due to their seasons being mirrored as well. It is a convention and practice of the Wiccan religion.
The Gods of the Aboriginal people are the Gods that preside over the modern Nation State of Australia just as they always have, it is good though to remember where your ancestors come from and honor the Gods of your people as well, but the Gods of your people are in the land where your people came from.

That was phenomenal! The prayer in the middle was especially stirring. Congratulations on your new label, and I look forward to many more spectacular songs!
We should all feel so fortunate to be the first viewers of this video TODAY, which kept us in suspense just a few hours ago as Faun had then announced that the preview would be...soon. I know I do.
This is amazing! Could you maybe do a song for each of the eight Wiccan sabbats? I think Walpurgisnacht hits pretty close to Beltane, Sonnenreigen is pretty obviously about Lughnasadh, and this one is also clearly about Samhain. I'd love it if you could do ones for Yule/Imbolc/Ostara/Litha/Mabon. ❤
@Music English LMAO cringe patchwork language from England I get your point, but that doesn’t give you the right to mock Wicca. I used the term Wiccan sabbats because it is the most concise and recognizable way to describe the 8 holidays. Or should I say the Celtic fire festivals and the solstices and equinoxes?
Wiccan Sabbats? There is not only Wicca in paganism. And stop calling them "Sabbats", for a pagan who follows the ancient path, it is a little blasphemous. Thank you. p.s. Walpurgisnacht is Walpurgisnacht, Beltaine is Beltaine. They have sure the same meaning, but not the same origins itself. Do not be like Christians who mix traditions by erasing origins and cultures. Study, always.
@@moonbow77 I totally understand your point about Wicca not being the only form of paganism. I’ll try to be more careful about that. However, if not “sabbat,” what term would you prefer me to use? I also agree that Walpurgisnacht and Beltane are distinct holidays from different traditions, but they have so many similarities, you can’t say that they are completely different. They’re as similar as Yule and Christmas or Samhain and Halloween. FAUN has clearly had no issue with combining distinct yet similar holidays into one song (“Halloween” is a very explicit example). Walpurgisnacht is a celebration of a saint involving bonfires to repel (or burn) witches and maypoles to welcome spring. Gee where did those traditions come from? Oh I don’t know maybe the pagan practices that were already in place by the time Christianity started rolling around? In the song “Walpurgisnacht,” you can see the band singing and dancing around a bonfire, possibly representing Walpurgisnacht celebrators. Meanwhile, women (presumably witches) dance while a maypole then later do a ritual and a horned god and a goddess get married. Even if that’s not specifically Wicca, it’s definitely not just Walpurgisnacht. There’s elements of Beltane in there, and arguably, “Walpurgisnacht” is _more_ about Beltane than Walpurgisnacht itself. While I’d certainly much rather a song about Samhain be titled “Samhain,” not “Halloween,” I’m seeing a consistent pattern of FAUN using more commonly-known (or socially-accepted) names for holidays in their song titles, even if the content itself is very much pagan. As much as I would like to take issue with that, I find that they are doing a relatively great job of depicting paganism, and there are far more, far worse, things to take issue with. I’d much rather see a song about Samhain titled “Halloween” than no song at all, or worse, a song mocking or demonizing Samhain celebrations. And one last things: not all Christians are bigots who see no issue with appropriating cultures and rewriting history. Yes, Christianity has had a bad historical track record in that respect, but that doesn’t automatically place all Christians in that category.
@@moonbow77 Sadly we are seeing more and more of Wicca-blends instead of local, informed paganisms nowadays. Some decades ago I was hoping for paganisms to get a foot into our modern world, sadly only the mish-mash watered-down globalized version has, and the local, more informed and specific traditions now struggle facing not only christianity but also Wicca. I am all for the inclusive and eclectic in principle, as many European paganisms have been (see the Roman faith for example), but the problem nowadays is that information travels mostly online and is therefore globalized, always the same bits transmitted, and the Americanization of the world is present in the transmission of paganism too - damaging many local traditions more than centuries of christianism...

As a Scot, your band Faun, holds onto the true ancestor's of our past music. You can definitely hear your music back then, albeit a little different from their old ways. It's great to see more interest back in our forgotten beliefs and ways. Faun, you definitely need to come over here and see the Samhuinn Festival! And... If you haven't yet, visit the Callanish Stones. There's always something spiritual about being close to something so old. ein tolles lied wie immer!
It is probably because you have been at the Callanish Stones long before this life. Much like deja vu but on a spiritual side of things. I believe it is why this type of traditional music resonates with so many people, young and old alike.

Holy fire, blessed waters

I figured I'd help you out on why they celebrate Beltane now instead of Samhain: Wiccans in the Southern Hemisphere celebrate the Wheel mirrored, due to their seasons being mirrored as well. It is a convention and practice of the Wiccan religion.
The Gods of the Aboriginal people are the Gods that preside over the modern Nation State of Australia just as they always have, it is good though to remember where your ancestors come from and honor the Gods of your people as well, but the Gods of your people are in the land where your people came from.
I just discovered your music, recently. And I love it!! It calls this old crone to the circle! Thank you for the beauty of the music that calls to my old soul. Blessed be, my brothers and my sisters, blessed be❤❤❤
Que coisa mais linda! Que energia sensacional! Estou arrepiada ❤

Your music continues to feed my soul and reinforce the peace that is so precious to me in my life. Much love coming from the American South!
Something in your work always seems to reach me in unexpected ways... beyond beautiful, thanks for doing what you do Faun
I feel grateful I was able to see Faun play live recently and that I acquired a copy of the book for this album during that show. Amazing songs and I really appreciate that you walk the walk.
That was phenomenal! The prayer in the middle was especially stirring. Congratulations on your new label, and I look forward to many more spectacular songs!
This song has since become a tradition for me to listen to on this day every single year since it appeared. : )
Happy Halloween to all.
Thank you for this miracle!
Oliver is incredible, I love his singing so much!!!
Would love to see you in the USA I would love to attend one of your concerts...
Yes 😍
@Music English LMAO cringe patchwork language from England
I get your point, but that doesn’t give you the right to mock Wicca.
Klingt gut.
This is so awesome! As a very long time fan I say you have fully re discovered your roots again which made me fall in love with you in the first place, so many years ago.
I have the same feeling :)
What a Beautiful video depicting the beautiful festival of samhain! Honouring the spirits, the witches, the old gods! Awesome work FAUN! So glad to feel Eden's vibe here 🥰 Faun are going back to their roots and it's one of the best news of 2021 🙏
Just what I thought!

Sticks and stones
This band is the reason why I still love and believe in music
I love Faun so much. They speak to my soul and their talent in music is beyond excellence.
I've also had a crush on Niel since day one. That man is just 'chefs kiss' stunning in every way.
Happy Halloween everyone!!
🎃 happy halloween!
I don't know what instruments were used but it's purely magic
Still as perfectly suited today as it was when it released. Thank you!
Standing in front of an open-air stage at night, getting enchanted by Faun - that is going to be a wish for next year 🔥😊
I'm so spoiled with all the bands I love doing songs in English! This is so good, so beautiful, and now I can sing along knowing I'm pronouncing the words right (haha!) - Love from the US!
Another great work!❤️
It doesn't seem possible that this song is two years old. I remember when it was released ❤❤❤
Love the pagan representation, play this song every Samhain🙏🌿🍵💚 -Kind regards an eclectic solitary Pagan, hard Polytheist & eclectic solitary grey Theistic Witch.
That's incredible, such spiritual energy 😍
Woderfull music as always!!! Hail Faun!!!
The acoustics! I feel like I'm standing in the middle of the scene, so immersive when listening with headphones!
Regardless of time of year, this song still slaps.
I'm really looking forward to your new songs!)
I just can't stop watching this masterpiece! I love the details and imagery used in the video. Your music is stunning and beautiful, as are your videos ❤️
toller Song ! fantastisches Video ! eine Deutsche Version wäre Toll ! Aber man kann sagen : Faun sind zurück ! Herzlichen Glückwunsch !
I am under your spell! Thank you for Blessing me this day
What a marvellous piece! Wish I’d discovered it before last Halloween. The three muses were convincing.
Its nearly thst time of year again ❤
What an awesome song.. well this will be played this Saturday at my daughters Halloween party so loud the houses down the road will enjoy faun too...blessings to my pagan brothers and sisters all around the world...../|\
Just returned to this path after a few years gap of hiding it I suppose is the best way to describe it, still deep in my heart always since I was around 5, thank you for inspiring me to follow my true path again. Blessed be .
This was shared to me by someone I hold dear to my heart. Beautiful music, sublime atmosphere. Blessed Be! 🌟
Thank you so much for releasing your creative muse and bringing us the full Monty. It's a torch of hope in such an age of dumbed-down, for-profit, dehumanized art. Thank, thank you for setting loose the creative human creature that has more and more by outdated modern beliefs been driven to the verge of extinction.
The song is amazing, the cinematography is out of this world! This will be on repeat for weeks!
Hi from Australia, would love to see you perform here, but that is a dream. You are the best, I have German ancestry, probably why I feel the strong pull to your music 🇦🇺
I have listened to numerous songs of yours in the last month since I discovered your band on here. You are fantastic. Great music and videos. Keep up the great work!
Blessed Be. Your band is wonderful!
I love. It!!!!!!!

Wow!
Faun! 😊👍👏👏👏
A very beautiful video from colleagues from Germany! 👍
They're going to be pissed the next page
Amazing! Thank you for taking me to another time and another land for a few minutes. 🖤✨
Love it! Amazing! I have been listening to Faun for years!
This is beautyful! Also a bit scary
