- This is my take on one of my favorite fighters of all time taken from my favorite fights of his. Hope you enjoy.
His fights shown were against:
Esteban De Jesus
Jimmy Robertson
Juan Medina
Hector Thompson
Sugar Ray Leonard
Davey Moore
Marvelous Marvin Hagler
Iran Barkley Спорт
Watching Roberto Duran gives me chills. Greatest fighter from Latin America to ever live. Look at that chin, look at that inside fighting, look at that power. Amazing Fighter who fought anyone and everyone. A true warrior.
Roberto Duran, the greatest lightweight of all time. Moves up to welterweight and beats the great SRR, moves up to middleweight and goes the distance with arguably the greatest middleweight ever Marvin Hagler. Then goes onto beat Iran Barkley and Davey Moore for the MW world titles. We will never see a Lightweight move up to middleweight and become world champion ever again.
Dear markybh0y: you mean beat SRL, not SRR.
Here watching this masterpiece in 2020!
I'll never forget getting off work late one friday night, cracking open a beer and watching Duran and Iran Barkley fighting for the middleweight belt.I did'nt think there was any way Duran could beat Iran.Iran had height, reach and was just more natural at that weight. What a great fight it was.Duran turned the tides of time on its head and won.Freaking unreal.
Great video - Most people only know of Duran from the Hearns Hagler, SRL era, but he'd already had a career to match say Barrera, Morales or almost Chavez before he stepped in the ring with Leonard for the 1st time which was his 73rd fight at which point he'd only lost once.
For pure desire of seek and destroy mentality combined with the raw talent of a natural fighter this guy was a true superman inside the ring. MANOS DE PIEDRA DURAN!
One of the greatest fighters to ever hold belts in four weight classes.
Roberto is highly underrated. He has spent an unbelievable long time in the ring. A true warrior who could take a punch, tremendous rhythm, balance, ring ability and formidable counterpunching ability! Took on all fighters and fought with all his heart and guts! One of the all-time-greates!
Underrated of time maybe..
Got only 1 clear ko. Loss.
As a p4p now he would smoke canelos Status, devin would be schooled like moore then
"and I just looked at Duran and I said man you know.......you are the best.......you're it!"
Sugar Ray Leonard
A true warrior
Could watch this all day long. Only one Duran
the hands of stone is my favy fighter ever he would have fought anyone and in his prime was in the top 5,6 p4p fighters to ever live the great roberto duran.
great work on this highlight. The music fits the action perfectly. Roberto Duran was a real fighter.
One of the best music videos of the great Duran they will never be another like him
truly one of the all time greatest fighters. This man never duck and opponent. win lose draw its all about fighting the best out there. no one fights for pride anymore the sport of boxing is getting weaker.
Thanx, good video, good quality. You can't love boxing without loving Duran, he was the embodiment of a fighter inside the ring. Outside the ring was were he was weak (training, food, partying), and with all his faults, we love him even more. His under achievements towered over most fighters achievements. He was a fierce competitor cause he fought with love and passion for his people and the sport. Roberto"Manos de Piedra"Duran, one of the greats, forever.
Chills for real men.
The mighty Duran, great tribute!!!!
Thank you for the video.
Saludos desde Panamá!
My dad, who passed away in January 2004, at the age of 74, always told me that the 2 greatest boxers/fighters that ever lived were Joe Louis and Roberto Duran. I believe he was right.
Roberto was a great one with of most ferocious tempers I've ever seen in the ring......
I love this song and Duran, what a great combination.....
Best fighter who ever lived.
Great video, Thanks.
true champion
played hard
worked hard

QED
this is the first video of roberto duran that i have seen and from the start he really was a baddass of a fighter.. great heart, great fighter!.
A legend....he could Box, Brawl, Punch, Hustle....AWESOME.
Holy Jesus i found it watched it about for 5 years ago.. 1 of 3 good duran Highlights.. shame on H.B.O.
And everybody who doesnt know this piece of a killer.. know the guy was still more humble then all lightweight today together maybe..
Duran is and was as real as it gets..
Give money too the poor, because he was as fu🤑k n poor as them before.
Hero one of the last In boxing..
No cars or juwelier.. just charles manson in the ring like joe frazer said.
Simply the greatest lightweight ever, one of the biggest punchers ever and simply one of the best of all time !
The end of that fight clip was sick. As an old fighter that kind of punishment makes me want to stand and salute!
DURAN IS BEAST! one of my all time favorite boxers!
met him today in panama, i was in awe!!
ROBERTO DURAN - ONE OF THE HARDEST IN BOXING HISTORY ! A TRUE LEGEND, JUST INSPIRING TO WATCH !!!
Love to see Duran fighting.
Benno "Ancient Warrior"
love the last 4 punches of this vid! Awesome brawler.
same everytime i go boxing, i play your video for inspiration man, lov clutch and roberto duran is just amazing! what a fighter! thankz again for the vid!
I loved this video man... great work, great music for a great boxer!
Beautifully done highlight video. Nice work.
Love watching this video, Roberto Duran >> The Regulator, such a bad-ass!!
Agree, he was a technical fighter with unlimited stamina and endurance, even when he moved up to Middleweight division he was every bit as fearless and powerful.
Regulator is a perfect tune in this video for Roberto Duran, the legend!!
duran wasnt just a wreckless brawler like some people think... he was a technician who made the most of his punches. very smart, very hard working, and very tough... best lightweight ever
Now this man truly was SPECIAL!
Ah yes Manos De Piedra (hands of stone) the man who fought 31 years as a pro, arguably the greatest lightweight fighter of all time, and one of the only men in history who fought through black and white tv, colour tv and the internet era (1968-2001)
Excellent job!
Wow ... very nicely done!
Jerry Quarry said it best: that you could almost always tell what a boxer does just looking at his face; that it was very rare, but once in a while you got a dance/stick type like Ali or Ray Robinson who boxed for a living and you couldn't tell it by looking at him; but that Duran was even rarer than that, a guy who comes forward and throws heavy punches and STILL never gets hit with anything solid. Quarry said there'd never been more than two or three of those.
Cool editing too. Badass.
Absolutely Tremendous Fighter and a Great Video Tribute to One Of y Favourite Boxers of all time. My all Fav's are 1)Muhammad Ali 2)Sigar Ray Robinson 3)Roberto Duran. Thanks for Posting This!!
Great Vid.
Awesome video on Duran! Man, you could see how hard he was hitting people lol.
Hands down...best Boxer/Puncher of this century.....
@BoxingFly01 You nailed it. People see Duran and think of an offensive beast but he had a very underrated defense.
thank you.he was a technical fighter,exactly!!yes he brawled,but he technically amazing,very astute,very correct,and no one says that,thank you for setting that perfectly straight.he had chin,balls,macho,endurance was a devil,but he was a technically brilliant boxer.stance,slips,counters,combos etc,all of it!
great combo
very fitting
duran is amazing!!!
True legend! Boxer, Brawler, the most complete fighter to ever enter the ring! True Warrior with generous heart!
Ahhhhh mhagler,..thanks man,..im sure u remember me,..im roberto's biggest fan,..nice to see some more on him,..good vid my man, keep it up! One of the best of ALL-TIME! Good tune too.
Top 10 ATG for sure, what a fight the man was.
wow! that was awesome! Thanks for that!
Duran is the Epitome of MACHO! Sound Track was AWESOME TOO! i'm trying to get video of some of his epic fights. if someone could help point me where to go I'd appreciate it. I don't think BlockBuster has them! LOL!
What a fighter. Without a doubt on the top 10 all time P4P list. Personally I'd rank him second only to SRR. The Barkley fight was just amazing. Duran, at 37 and supposedly washed up, defeats the man who flattened the Hitman. What an exclamation point to an awesome career. Brilliant!
I prefer MMA but I am hooked by this.
In my opinion the greatest knockout artist in modern boxing history!
nice video bro !!
Hes considered as the top 5 best pound for pound of all time! Hes a beast! I got a chance to talk to the fella some time back, and let me say, some people tried to play the part of a mean fighter, some tried to act it, this mean was the nastiness, meanest man to have ever stepped into the ring singe the begining of boxing history! he was like a night mare, he would punish you from every angle, non stop barrage of punches that lasted THE ENTIRE FIGHT! hit your forearm, back, neck..just brilliant.
The Iran Barkley fight is superb.
duran was a beast it would b the shit if there was another fighter like him in this era
Floyd couldn't even beat and old De La Hoya or a shop worn Miguel Cotto 'easily' how on earth is he gonna beat a Prime Duran with ease?
He got Koed by hearns. Floyd would have found it easy with Duran
@@TextBookPuncher1 hearns is a 6ft welterweight, Duran is a 5’7 lightweight floyd has none of the physical attributes or punching power hearns had horrible comparison, Floyd’s own family refuses to answer that question because they don’t want to hurt Floyd’s feelings
@@TextBookPuncher1 lmao you have no idea stop it
Duran is immense!!!
Duran is such a badass matchismo in its purest form MANOS DE PIEDRA
Roberto Duran reminds me a lot of Rocky Marciano, a pair of sledgehammer hitting bulldozers, my two favorite fighters!!
I couldn't agree more.
The name of the band is Clutch and the song is called "The Regulator".
Never mind I spoke too soon, should have looked below my posting first...my bad.....
great song and thanks for posting this video...I grew up watching duran and all the great real thug fighters who were around back then before all the payper view bullshit came on the scene. Those were the good ol fight days.
Lo mejor de lo mejor esa guapeza POCOS boxeadores la tienen hoy en dia
Great
yea this is more like my definition of a totally skilled and developed fighter.its no wonder hes on every list of all time great boxers.im guessing he might be the overall best fighter in my life time.champion fro light weight to light heavy.pac man never fought a guy close to this good,or this versatile.this guy was born to greatness, born to fight
@RollFizzleBeef1 Good points. And remember Duran didn't need catchweights fight restriction vs previously KO'D fighters, either.
Mi héroe
DURAN! is the MAN! What people don't realize is that when Duran fought fought Ray Leonard, Marvin, and Tommy that was in the 80's...by that time Duran was a veteran of 12 to 13 years, so he wasn't in his prime like the other 3 fighter were...Roberto Duran's prime was 1968 to 1979...had Tommy, Marvin, or Ray fought him in those years at lightweight it woulld been over! ROBERTO DURAN!
Duran wasn't a boxer,he was a warrior simple as. Four titles at four different weights...says it all .
The last fight was sick...balls to the wall!
Besides, regardless of the COLOR of his skin, he was one of the greatest boxers of all-time...and probably the greatest lightweight. And having someone play him on screen is not about playing his "color" it's about playing his passion and his fury, his talent and his mastery in the ring. Gael Garcia Bernal has the chops to do that. I just hope he's been training, cause that dude was IN SHAPE!
My hero the best
@SinghDynamite your absolutely correct on those facts!
Nice tribute Mhagler! Love it brother! Who sang this song? Is it Zack Wilde?? And whats the name of the song brother? I'm going to post this this for you man!
I saw the first comment and you're right man, some guys were talking down on boxing. I see where you're coming from now, I would've also react like that. But yeay I love boxing and I know most mma fighters obviously couldnt make it in boxing and the other way around but yeay in my opinion the sport is legit. Anyway I understand where you're coming and why you said the thing you said. It's all cool bro
orgullo de Panamá carajo!
Duran is without doubt the greatest Mexican boxer that has ever lived. Margarito Duran of Mexico gift to the world, and his gifts name is? ROBERTO DURAN.
what a fighter Hector Thompson was; his only problem was being born in the era Duran existed in!
The name of the song is "The Regulator" by Clutch.
the greatest man.
The Greatest Lightweight ever lived!
grande robertooooooooooo......
One of my coaches sparred Roberto Duran. He said that Roberto hit him so hard that he pooped his pants, haha.
@ilike2slug It's by Clutch, the song is called "the Regulator."
Clutch - The Regulator very coool
Ok, i just found out the song and artist! It's by the group Clutch, and the song is called the Regulator!!
As far as i know, this just might be the overall best fighter of my lifetime[and its been awhile now],but i know this;if i was a pro fighter, this IS ABSOLUTELY who i'd wanna fight like.MANOOOSSS DEEEE PIIIIEEEEEDRAAAAA!.ladys and gentlemen, meet a real life Badass!
Finally, when you've finished reading Four Kings by George Kimball (good book btw but we've all read it), read Hands of Stone by Christian Giudice.Maybe, just maybe afterwards you might give Duran the respect he deserves.
a legend him and chavez sr would if bein a classic
Cheers. The only smaller guy I can think of who truly gave SRR trouble was Basillio and he was probably a bit past his best then. SRR V Duran at welterweight. What a fight that would have been. 147lb would favour Sugar but since when did size matter to Duran. I can't envisage SRR running and we all know what happened to SRL when he decided to have a fight with Duran in Montreal. Still I think SRR's extra power could be decisive. Tough call though!
