      @@МаксимСемёнов-х1г Ого, во-первых, спасибо, что поделились ссылкой. Это потрясающе красивый дом. Угол стоек настолько острый, что на самом деле только кажется, что они могли бы обеспечивать поддержку, если бы были прикреплены к паре стальных балок, находящихся в крайнем напряжении.
      Судя по фасаду, здесь достаточно места, чтобы скрыть толщину традиционной системы перекрытия (балки и настил), но вполне возможно, что они использовали массивную деревянную панель, которая может перекрывать большие расстояния с минимальной поддержкой. Казалось бы маловероятным, что они использовали стальные панели и бетон для пола, но раньше я ошибался:-) Мне бы хотелось увидеть структурные планы этого дома. Это шедевр!

    WOW that is a lot of work. I do not think I have ever seen a tower crane at a residential construction site. I just came across your site today. Great video and just the right amount of talking and NO music. Wish I had a tower crane when I was building Log Cabins. Ron USCG RET

      @ShredPile  2 месяца назад

      Hey thanks Ron. The crane is a handy unit for sure. The catagory it's in is called 'self errecting tower crane' and are sometimes known as 'fast errect tower crane' as well. Glad you found the channel. I'm coming up on a year of weekly posting in mid-november. I use a little quiet music in the timelapse sections to keep it from being completely silent but that's about it.

    Kind of expected the loft to be bigger. Then again, that's probably why it's called a loft and not a second floor, lol. Anyway, thanks for another great episode Jake.

    I am always amazed with how much quality work you can bang out by yourself. Do you ever work with help? Some things (like cutting the purlins on the ground and flying them in place) is so much more efficient with 2. I always prefer to have help, but can see why working solo has an advantage at times.
    Thanks for sharing!

    I was wondering if that fire was close to you. Glad they got it under control. That was probably a rough day of work knowing you’ve got a wildfire burning out back

    • @ShredPile
      @ShredPile  2 месяца назад

      Yeah it was in between me and home but if it took off it wouldn't have much in its way to get towards my house. It's been a pretty mild fire season around here otherwise.

      No, it's actually all out of the midwest believe it or not. We opted to source the cedar siding ourselves and we milled from a private stand locally. It's all been prestained, stickered and tarped ready to go when I get the building caught up.
