  • 'Le Mans Qualifier' Official Clip FORD v FERRARI (2019) Matt Damon, Christian Bale
    Academy Award-winners Matt Damon and Christian Bale star in FORD v FERRARI, based on the remarkable true story of the visionary American car designer Carroll Shelby (Damon) and the fearless British-born driver Ken Miles (Bale), who together battled corporate interference, the laws of physics, and their own personal demons to build a revolutionary race car for Ford Motor Company and take on the dominating race cars of Enzo Ferrari at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in France in 1966.

    • @Christopher_TG
      @Christopher_TG 2 года назад +10

      It's one of three times in the movie that NASCAR is directly mentioned, and the other two times are done so derisively.
      The first time is when Lee Iacoca is pitching the idea of sports car racing to Henry Ford II.
      LI: It's time for the Ford Motor Company to go racing.
      HF: We're already in racing, Iacoca.
      LI: NASCAR? That's regional, sir. When you open up a magazine, you don't see good ole boys from Winston-Salem.
      The second scene is when Lee meets with Carroll Shelby to recruit him to the GT40 project.
      CS in response to being asked what it takes to win Le Mans: It takes something money can't buy.
      LI: Money can buy speed.
      CS: It isn't about speed, Lee. This isn't like those other tracks where all you do is turn to the left for four hours.
