    Hi Fabian, would you mind adding the spinner to Cults3d? I was planning to use your ramp stls but it turned out I had to design my own to have a better fit to my playfield design, however I think I could implement the spinner. It would be easier for me to just use something that's already built and see how you implemented sensors. Have you used a standard optical sensor to verify rotations, or was it a slot sensor maybe? I'm also using arduino mega with wav trigger for sounds. Don't worry if you don't want to share those project files, but I thought I'd check.

    • @fabe1690
      @fabe1690  Год назад

      Hello Simon, sooner or later i will share the Files on cults, probably it will be later. Because when i share STLs i provide usually an electronic circuit example for operating the specific Pinball Part . Even the Spinning Target in terms STL are quite simple, the electronics are not - so i need time for preparing and documenting this.
      However, pass me your email and i will send you the STLs.
      For the Target i use TCST1103 Photoelectric barrier sensor, On the side there is a "half" wheel attached to the axis of the spinner, this will trigger the sensor on/off each time the spinner turns.
      For the wav trigger implantation see Bobs instruction - it helped me a lot! www.hackster.io/BobB/pinball-sounds-and-music-bac92b
      Good luck with the pinball construction!
      Greetings, fabian

      @@fabe1690 Thanks for that, I've just sent an email. That's actually the sensor I was thinking about in conjuction with a type of a 'wheel' with holes that is added to some of the arduino car toys. I did follow bob's tutorial already and have the trigger implemented

    Hi Fabe, very impressive work, can I ask about the solenoids ? are you using the same model for flippers and bumpers ?

    • @fabe1690
      @fabe1690  2 года назад

      THX! i do not use the same for Bumper and Flippers. The one for the Bumper ("JF-1038" ~3A at 30V) was to weak for the flipper. I used a stronger type called "KK-1039B" (~5A at 30V) and for each Flipper i had to use 2 Pc! Greetings from Vienna.

    That voice sounds very similar to Williams Pin•Bot, which had heck of an attract more, with the voice and segments of the sound track trying to extract currency from your pockets.

      @@fabe1690 Nice approach that you have taken. Plenty could find space for a reduced size pin table, but a full size machine could be problematic for some households.

    I was looking in great detail and I noticed that the flipper system is very well done ...... are you ever going to publish the stl of your pinball construction (Flipper Assembly)-(Drop Target)-(Ramps)- (Lane Guide)-( Slingshot Assembly)-(Kickout Hole) ---- well if you have to pay to download the files no problem (there is a lot of work from you, and that has a value. ) that would be great .. .
    I congratulate you for the great enthusiasm and dedication you have given to your pinball...

      Hello Rafael, i will provide some assemblies on Cults, but i need time to do it. Providing STL on Cults is quite work intensive, because the most of the assemblies will need an instruction manual. I will go ahead and will start with the Slingshot. I let you know when its online. Greetings, Fabian

      @@fabe1690 Thank You .... I will continue to wait patiently but there are no problems ... I appreciate it I would like to show you what I have done .....
      In fact, your bumpers work very well with the solenoid that you advised me, but since I had problems with the microswitch, I modified the upper part and put some sheet contacts and it works very well.... it looks great....

      @@harrylala8373 Hello Harry, well thats a quite genaral question. i have some tipps for you how i startet:
      .) dont put yourself unerder pressure, it took me 2,5 Years for a quite simple Machine from the eraly 80s. Atteack from Mars will be much more challenging
      .) start with a proto Type, where the aproach is "trial and error"
      .) Start collectin the knowledge you need:
      x) 3D Printing/Cunstruction was the esiest part
      x) you need electronictsknow how, get familar with LT Spice (electronics simulator) and Eaqsy EDA (PCB Production) for Eledctronics.
      x) You need to make Stickers - you will need Vector Graphics programm knowledge - i used "Inkscape"
      x) As Cad i used "Tinkercas.com"

    • @fabe1690
      @fabe1690  2 года назад

      .) also you need programming skills, is unsed an Ardunio Mega, i didn't use any "ready to go" Pinball Borads or Pinball Libarys for the ardunio.
      To speed up, i reccomned to use some parts i provide via Cults3d -> that would speed up a lot your building process (i do not only provide the stl files but also sample electronics circuts).
