Great video . I just learned a lot. Thank you . My instruction are Japanese . You gave Complete instruction . I watched ten videos . And none gave the complete functions of the this watch .
There are two things that the basic DW-5600E-1V is best at: The alarm that can be set for the month/day, and the indicator light that can be set for the alarm. None of the Solar G-Shocks know these two things, I don't even understand the designers, why they didn't include them...
I want this in my collection but I have already the good old classic retro dw-5600c in my collection.. I am torn wether to pull the trigger of owning dw5600c & gw-5000u in my collection..
Does the "I" really indicate the year? My watch has an extra number than yours, but ends in an "H". Could this be because my watch is nearly 10 years younger?
Hey thanks for this video, especially with the test screens to determine my GW 5000 1JF's authenticity. I'm curious about the cycle through the first test screen at 17:12 in your video showing the numbers "3150" and "0311". Do you know what those numbers mean? My watch does the same and I assumed the "3150" was supposed to be the module number as shown on the DLC caseback, but that caseback number is "3159". Thanks for any info you can provide for both the "3150" and "0311" numbers and for your time!
Too bad, I still have no idea what those numbers mean. 😓 Some models will display their module number, some just didn't. That test screen number rule aren't absolute to every G-Shock.
134735 Some people say the number displayed on the screen is actually the original module number that your current watch’s module was inherited on. For example, if you search for the manual for 3150, it basically has the same functions as the 3159 module, but a couple cosmetic changes. Here’s what I found: forums.watchuseek.com/f17/test-screen-mystery-908959.html
I bought the GW-5035A when I was in Tokyo in October/November.. good timing for the 35th anniversary edition ...
You’re so lucky! I’m still looking to get one myself.
yes I was... They sell them here in Australia now...around A$500.. Cheers

Larry La Bella this guy surely makes the best gshock videos tbh.
My go to video, just for a reminder now and again. Thanks for being so thorough 👍
Test screens are pretty cool. They work on other G-Shock too!
Exactly. Also to some Casio made watches as well other than G-Shock
Great video man i just got mine and this video helped me out alot. Highly appreciate it, keep up the good work dude
My GW-5000 IJF came in yesterday and I love it! It’s a bit smaller than I thought though...
You must have a really big wrist then 😃
gshock highfashion Well...Yeah...I am 6’4”/300lbs...bit of a big boy...just measured my wrist...8 inches.
@@obsidian00 That's a large wrist. You'd do well wearing a Breitling pilot watch.
Teachering Ha! I would love to rock a Breitling...but the bank account says “NO”!!!
@@obsidian00 IWC Big Pilot is calling to you...
I graduated high school that year in 2009.

GREAT I LIKE THE UPDET ONE GW-5600
Really love this watch..
I finally got this watch from japan. It my everyday watch..
Great video, great tutorial.....thank you for sharing this with us.
Great video! Is there a way to increase the lighted display time? It is too short about 1 second only. I believe it can be adjusted to 3 seconds?
The new GW-5000U can.
I want this in my collection but I have already the good old classic retro dw-5600c in my collection.. I am torn wether to pull the trigger of owning dw5600c & gw-5000u in my collection..
Ótimo o melhor dos melhores de produtos da "CASIO" obrigado!
My wrist is 6 inches, can you recomend me a gshock than fit my skinny wrist?
All the squares would be a good size for a smaller wrist
How do you change the DAY ? I'm trying to change my day to Monday but cannot get to that function 😩
greetings friend from Mexico
I got 1 too!

Can I change the lighting time to 3sec?
Yes, you can.
@@gshockhighfashion how can I change it?
You just made me realize that we can’t do that in this watch. So unfortunate. My bad for saying you can in the first place. :/
Esse aqui no Brasil vale 1000 reais de verdade um preço bem surjerido
